- retawd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7It reminds me of one of those games in beginning of sci-fi movies that came out in the 80s. A couple kids dressed in vinyl biker gear (lotsa straps) at a standup arcade machine with colored hair playing for the honor of their crew to prove their 1337ness in a world of Robocops and renagade virii. Of course, the protaganist does defeat the evil techno corporate empire with help from the game's designer and thus saves NewNewYorkyoto
- Insert31990, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Hey, this is alot of fun. Adds a wonderful new dimension to Pong.
I'll keep my eyes peeled for future versions ... maybe online play?
Dugg. - drgori, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Great. I go to the clinic and donate plasma because I want to save lives. And now I find out they're just using it for goddamn Pong. This is bogus, man.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Damn you Phelix. Why did you have to post this when I have a project due by today evening?
- Tobey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I can't get it to run in wine. It just keeps saying, "An error has occured in the sound sub-system: (33) An invalid parameter was passed to this function."
And I don't have Windows installed anymore. Oh well. At least I played the first one, I'll just remember the good times I had with that... Like the time the ball came to me and I hit it back, or the time the ball came back to me, and I hit it again! Good times... - Moremoe, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6Good game I'd digg it twice.
- PlasmaPongGuy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Sites getting hammered, I'll need to create some mirrors.
I've got a google base up in case the homepage isn't loading:
http://base.google.com/base/a/1236936/D5745363201351941439 - johnroth, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Mirror mirror on the wall!!!
http://files.bf2s.com/details.php?file=165&cmd=rate - fquednau, on 10/12/2007, -0/+340-50 FPS are targetted? Man, I already get fits with 35 FPS. I love those niceties in life. The ball blows here and there. Like a summer breeze. Like a hurricane...Would love a whole collection of fluid motion games...plasma pac-man, plasma arkanoid, plasma invaders? Anyone will register fluidmotiongames.com ?
- PhonicUK, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Needs Linux version but still freaking cool
- Merlinhoot, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Version 1.3b out!
- everfalling, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2damn my dual screens. cause it only registers vertical mouse movement, i dont see the horizontal, and my mouse keeps going to the other screen and my paddle stop moving... that and for some reason the start menu pops up from below and stops my paddle altogether. dual screen users beware. might wanna unplug one JUST for this game.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Mirror: http://burnguides.info/Setup.exe
- MonkeyBoyz30, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I like to just play with the plasma in sandbox mode. All the pretty colors.
- fusioned, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Looks great but I need an OS X version...hell make an iPod version even :)
- ronaldpoi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2yes, i want a Mac version!!!
- Rigbymatt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2plays fine on my craptastic Geforce 5200
- mooninite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2ElectricKetchup, plasma pong runs just fine under Wine 0.9.12. No, I'm not lying.
- ElectricKetchup, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Nice game. I wish it had a gnu/linux version though so I could play when I get home from work. :)
- redhatcat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Looks great.
I just needs to be open source though. I'd like to play it natively. - retawd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2After reading this ^^ I think it may appear dismissive or insulting of the game. That was not my intention. That is just what I was thinking while I played it. I like the game.
- jmccorm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Question: Can keyboard keys be used instead of mouse buttons possibly? That's help.
- jmccorm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2This game is an OUTRIGHT HAZARD for people with carpal tunnel. Fun, but freaking PAINFUL!
- axelabs, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Don't run it without good gfx hardware... this thing needs lots of juice...
- Fixe, on 10/12/2007, -10/+11What about an osX version?
- ElectricKetchup, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1mooninite, I'll have to give it a try. I remember I almost got farcry working in wine... even though farcry used direct3d + custom hardware shaders. The only problem with it was I couldn't get sound to work (seems like sound would be easier than hardware graphic shaders).
I really love how well Wine has progressed over the last few years :) - gavwvin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The game is very psychadelic- but the sandbox section is cool
- ElectricKetchup, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Sounds like an interesting movie. Does it have a name?
- CtrlAltDel85, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4Kick ass!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Well, it's not my fault :)
I found it while studying for my finals....yeah...about those finals... - teh1337one, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@Rigbymatt: Could be worse: I'm using Geforce 4 MX Intergrated (it's below the system requirement of 128 mb of gfx card ram). Getting a constant 30 fps.
- neonrehan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1w00t Steve. I commented on the other digg article linking the youtube video.
hope you got someone to invest in you at GDC.

GMU holle R - toosas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1very interesting approach. love it
- D3koy, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4I love pong, and I love plasma pong. But, yes far to much plasma. Nevertheless, it is a very fun game.
- wiggly, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I have a P4-2.4 and ATI AIW 9700XT and it hiccups whenever there's an explosion. Then I momentarily loose control just long enough to cost me a point. Too frustrating. I'll try it again when/if I ever upgrade me rig.
- marioluigi123, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0So I think I need to go try this on a desktop. I got a whopping 1 frame per second MAX. Good 'ol Thinkpad A22m.
- joshuamcqueen, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2Hey Steve Taylor,
Good work with the program. It looks and plays fantastic. Also, I see that you go to school at GMU? That's my old stomping grounds! Go Patriots! - JDHawke, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1You and me both....found this on my lunch break....
cool twist on an old idea... - piratemonkey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Wow! Awesome. You know you should sell this to Microsoft to put on Xbox live arcade.
- IcedZ, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3holy crap, thats cool. Digg x 2
- DarkHawkWingsGT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0can someone post another mirror of hte file?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'm working on a couple of mirrors since Steve's site seems to be crashing ;)
- fastfood15, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1i should be studying, but what the hell :)
edit: Dude this game is freaking amazing!! FYI for those with low quality GPUs out there, im using a integrated card on a laptop that really isnt that great and the game runs, slow, but it gets the job done :) - internetbum, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0awesome game man. keep up the good work. cant wait for more :)
dugg 2x - pete1973, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0wow! what a kick ass game. nice work!
- acdcbag, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3Man, I ain't believin' that ***** about Bonham's one-hour drum solo, man. I mean, one hour on drums? You couldn't handle that ***** on strong acid, man. BTW, this game rocks!
- pkulak, on 10/12/2007, -5/+2Hmm... I'll have to remember to check this out later when it's not digg-*****.
- tazamore, on 10/12/2007, -7/+2Ah, my eyes! Too much plasma! Doesn't seem to have a setting to decrease plasma. Cool concept though.
