- Zathman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Steve (the game maker) has registered a domain: http://www.plasmapong.com/
- Lord_Mizaru, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It's so pretty to look at... kinda makes you wanna get stoned don't ya think?
- Tobey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1My god that's addictive.
Here's another mirror: http://users.wbecin.net.nyud.net:8090/mttrails/Plasma%20Pong.exe
I know we don't need another mirror, but I had already uploaded it to my server before I refreshed this page and noticed a bunch of people had already done the same thing... - antdude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Someone should port this to an online version. ;)
- Tobey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"why did this story suddenly disappear from the homepage and now it won't even come up in a search? I had to find it in my history."
It was removed because people couldn't download the file, so they of course immediately marked it as "Bad Link". But if they weren't so lazy, and would just check the comments first, they would have found a mirror to the file. Oh well. - d0zy, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4vagina is way better
- j28smith, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0OK i got over level 1000...actually i can get to whatever level i want...hold on to the ball so it doesn't move and just press the L key to make the level go up...easy way of toping the high scores...fun game tho
- cakesale, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Awesome game! i love it! THANKS!
- analgesia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0try pressing "t"

- tylerni7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ugh it's been down just go to the mirrors and download it. This game is so awesome! Very confusing... but still awesome. (And for all you bragging about the level you are on... if you RTFM you would see you can just cheat and level up lol.
- Karyyk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Darned...and I thought this was a post about the hidden Easter Egg in Jeff Minter's Defender 2000 (Atari Jaguar).
Pretty cool though... - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0http://files.bdotson.us/media/PlasmaPong.exe
There's another mirror right to the exe. - DooDah, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0sweet, dugg!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Steve, I didn't know you were going to release this game yet! lol
Nice work though, see ya in class
-Jeremy - dbr_onix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hmm Pong on Acid.. Has to be brillant
- Ben - dr.tchock, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i haven't seen anything that's made me think about doing mushrooms again, but this did.
the gameplay is decent, though i agree with suelstis that the "hold" kinda takes the pong-ness outta the game.
pretty though. - Ruckgesicht, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Zonkor FTW!
- tuxidomasx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1i just ejaculated playing this game. omg. its so freakin sexy

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Holy freakin' ass this game is freakin' sweet.
This is not another lame free game, this ***** freakin' owns! if they made they made this for Xbox, PS2 or hell a GBA I would freakin' buy this.
This guy needs to contact microsoft about an Xbox live arcade version, hell yeah I'd pay for this ***** are you kidding me?
I cannot believe how overly cool this game is!!!!!!
This is an awesome digg and it needs people who read my comment to digg this ***** too, damn ya'll need to digg this! - twooranges, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0...........WOW....... somebody should try to get this xbox live arcade. congrats to ever made this.
- Zathman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Awesome game, but don't you hate the fact that the author's webpage with all the pertinent information is absolutely sluggish? I went and I posted a mirror to the Plasma Pong website at:
http://base.google.com/base/a/1076916/3453090135828462658
Protect the Plasma Pong website's bandwidth by using the Google Base version! - rubadub, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0way cool but the next version should limit the the range you can grab the ball and make it alittle more difficult
- MOJIRA, on 05/17/2008, -0/+0this is great. can you imagine it on that multi-touch screen computer? that'd be sweet.
- mr_cheese28, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0that is the best pong ever, with a great soundtrack too
- HiddenForce, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I had more fun with the "interactive solver" than I did with the game. The "Spy Games" music got kind of irritating after a while, though. Good thing it can be shut off (with the (m) key).
It's interesting to see that, intentionally or unintentionally, they worked Bernoulli's Principle into it. I used the (W)all mode to set up a kind of venturi tube and set up 6 jets underneath it (with (B)ouancy and (G)ravity on) and the plasma got accelerated out the top of the tube, just as it should.
Neat program! :) - CoolWind, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0DAMN IT it doesnt work...
same here... - ryllharu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Easily the most fun I've had playing pong in probably 10 years. Simply Awesome. This is how game remakes SHOULD be. Give us something familiar but completely change the way it plays.
- xNaquada, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0omfg bring on MP+mp scoreboard!
- saftaplan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hell yeah, playing pong at a blazing 7 FPS... Maybe time to upgrade my machine...
- everfalling, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0now this is an awsome take on a classic game. dugg+
- MrDolomite, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0site crushed, bad link
- ketsugi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0403 Forbidden! ;(
- kcmcgruff, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Holy CRAP!! That is one killer version of PONG. Thanks to the guys who put up the mirrors so quickly!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Digg effect has just taken affect?
- thekidder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0freaking awesome
- Inferny, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0BRING ME 4 PLAYER PONG! that would be so awesome. or 2v2!!!
- dj_sea2005, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"ah my eyes...the googles do nothing!"
LMFAO! that worked so well with the comment above that one ^_^
this game is awesome, really does need some sort of online multoplayer though (or LAN multiplayer) and maybe even some way to have more than two players.... - theundone, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0why did this story suddenly disappear from the homepage and now it won't even come up in a search? I had to find it in my history.
- Tobey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Would you guys read the comments? There's plenty of mirrors to go around.
- neilpan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Tight !!! I love the fluid :) *gallop gallop*
- charmedguy18, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0DAMN IT it doesnt work...
- bonoes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0dugg and passed links around.
- segosa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"The song you guys are all jizzing over is "Pompeii" by E.S. Posthumus. "
Yeah, the mp3 of it in the "sounds" folder has its ID3 tags intact.
"E.S. Posthumus - Pompeii (Full)"
Even though I can't see myself spending a lot of time on this, I'm glad I downloaded it just for that song. - Inferny, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0WOOOOOOO LEVEL 61!!!
http://img47.imageshack.us/img47/8312/lvl619wh.jpg
damn.. that took me 1 hour... I LOVEEE THIS GAMEEEEE - Zathman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0OK If you guys would READ the author's homepage or my Google Base mirror (posted above) you'd be able to see under "Awknowledgements" the following two bullets:
* Intro music is (C) Harry Gregson-Williams - Training Montage from the Spy Game soundtrack.
* Battle music is (C) ES Posthumus - Pompeii.
You're not geniuses or anything - its posted right on the website... lol... - HiddenForce, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0DrMobius:
Ha! It looks like we're both right. The "battle_loop.mp3" music is indeed Pompeii (confirmed by the ID3 tag). The main menu music ("intro_loop.mp3") is from the 2001 Robert Redford/Brad Pitt movie "Spy Game" (according to the ID3 tag). - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Awesome!
