- gerigus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2yeah lol, its true.
I play on the server Blackrock, its the most popular server in the game i believe and a few guilds figured out how to exploit the Corrupt Blood and bring it back to the major cities, now there are just dead bodies everywhere... - Hollywood, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1So that is the reason I had to work today instead of playing WoW
- tastypastry, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0SEE THE NAKED GUY NOT DYING? BECAUSE HE IS NAKED
- spymacfan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Same thing happened to me,i was in the instance area and i just all of a sudden got it. pissed the crap out of me.
- Trjn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Too hard to choose what song to quote. . . Down With the Sickness or Dead Bodies Everywhere?
Where's a coin to toss when you need one? - shiftlock, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ok Now I want to play the game if ***** like that is happening thats cool.
- DinosaurBoner, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I would much prefer the 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail' quote(s).

- jholdaway, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0EQ2 wasn't the first everquest game with plague... EQOA was the only EQ game i could stand.. That had the plague...
- i_am_stillwater, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0that's weird. i posted a similar article a few days ago. This social bookmarking thing confounds me then.
- overaction, on 07/14/2009, -0/+0Glad I started playing eve... and spending all my time on it.
- redwire, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Perhaps a plague that makes female elves clothes rot off, not only would it not be annoying that would boost the teenage male player audience some and reduce the massive favoring of alliance players on proudmoore :)
- Otto, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1That is truly ***** awesome. The best part is the clearly unintended nature of it.
Check out this post by a Blizzard rep on their forums: http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.aspx?FN=wow-general&T=4929988&P=1
"It appears that the hotfix remedy concocted to combat the recent Azerothian outbreak has not yielded desired results. At this time, our medical staff is continuing to develop an effective cure. We look forward to ensuring the health and vitality of the citizens of Azeroth in the near future."
LOL! - shamshamsham, on 11/20/2008, -0/+0Didn't they just do another plague event like a month ago?
http://thevirtualscoop.com/category/world-of-warcr ... - Leonaken, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Lol, yay for stupid MMO stories. Good job Blizzard!
- Trjn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"I would much prefer the 'Monty Python and the Holy Grail' quote(s)."
If you insist.
"I'm not dead!"
"This one says he's not dead."
"I think I could go for a walk now . . . I feel happy!"
Or something along those lines. . . I think I need to crack out my DVD of Holy Grail now, if I can't quote a scene word perfect anymore. - beefypeefy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0haha brilliant
- jholdaway, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Damn, plagues were the worst part of any of the mmorpgs ive played that have them.. Maybe WOW will do something to make it more interesting. If anyone can make a plague not tedious it will be blizzard.
- rfek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0/target self
/cast condom (rank 1)
/assist - mrdlcastle, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wow is this is true, this would be great!
- DreamTheater, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Can someone make a torrent for this? and post it? thanks
- quicksilver, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Much better Dino Boner. THX Dino Boner. still cool
- pibby, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0They've already fixed it, it was a server-side thing supposedly.
- WPFever, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ahh spare me!
- tastypastry, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0that was me
- ZombieLordzero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0every mmorpg needs something like this, just toned down a little for the sub-50 players (still death, but not instant)
- Hologram, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0LOL!
- villadak, on 10/31/2008, -0/+0Check out this cool World of warcraft blog http://addicted2worldofworldcraft.blogspot.com/
- adml_shake, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Don't think this is considered a bug.. More like an unintended feature. =)"
Lol, you MUST work for a software development company! - mantric, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I've never played a MMORPG, but this story actually makes me want to go out and pick this up. Totally immersive!
- deviationer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1ALREADY ***** FIXED!
they did a hot fix on the server side within a few days - wetelectric, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1"Heres the skinny: Blizzard adds in a new instance, Zul'Gurub. Inside is the god of blood, Hakkar. Well, when you fight him he has a debuff called Corrputed Blood. It does like 250-350 damage to palyers and affects nearby players. The amazing thing is SOME PLAYERS have brought this disease (and it is a disease) back to the towns, outside of the instance. It starts spreading amongst the genral population including npcs, who can out generate the damage. Some servers have gotten so bad that you can't go into the major cities without getting the plague (and anyone less than like level 50 nearly immediately die)."
u people make jeebus sad. :( - notkevin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Sounds like a great way to spend $15 a month.
- Parmedius, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i havnt played for a couple days... too bad im stuck at work all day... this sounds amazing!
- kinetik, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It has to be a bug, because we did not experience anything like this on our server (Mal'Ganis).
- saysaknow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That's awesome. Very life like.
- krisse, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0HEhe, this is hilarious..
Reminds me of the hunter who's pet had been targeted as 'the bomb' by Geddon.
- He then immediately told his pet to /get lost. After the raid went to AH and summoned the pet which still had the 'bomb' on it. 4k dmg to everyone in the near surroundings. Great fun!
Don't think this is considered a bug.. More like an unintended feature. =) - Equtious, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Is it a bug in the game?
- jholdaway, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0zombielordzero.. Toned down is what made it suck in other MMORPGs.. But not instant is a good idea.. Maybe it could leave you infectious for a random time between a day and a week then kill you... Or a were-beast type plague (something more interesting than a standard world wide plague)
Im not really worried.. Blizzard will do something innovative like they always do. - DreamTheater, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I mean the video file
- spectre_25gt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hmm, best stay away from that rat flail at the merchants if this is going around.
- Califax, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Grrr... didn't see the video sorry... where the hell is a edit comment when you need it
- ZombieLordzero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0simply put:
the curse only lasts 3 seconds, durring this time if your near an ally, they get infected with a new 3 second timmer. when your timer goes up, oppse your not infected, then your ally infects you. rinse, repeat.
when people gather in large groups, this spreads like a firestorm and is sustained by people who can out-regenerate the damage the plague deals out (222-337) which means level 50+ and npcs. everyone wou cant out-regenerate the damage or outrun the lvl 50+ people running everyone down on mounts, dies from it. this will be remembered for the freak world-event that was promised, but not intentionaly delivered. - villadak, on 10/31/2008, -0/+0Check out this cool World of warcraft blog http://addicted2worldofworldcraft.blogspot.com/
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0that is sooo tight
- Gargo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Could just go into PVP and not get affected....yet that could also bring the Plague into PVP.
Just get your Pet sick and start giving the sickness to everything :) - tehLazyPirate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0WoWned
- alarion, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1sup Blizzard has to copy EQ2 for content ideas.
- Califax, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1A torrent for what? The Game? Its a MMORPG and you think a torrent is going to get you online?
