- joehobbes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Why 16-bit?
Use all 128+-bits -- just keep it 2D - joehobbes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It would be nice if they included some of the time-travel elements of Sonic CD as well.
I thought that really added some depth and replay value.
Another thing worth mentioning, is they should ONLY have Sonic as a playable character. - msaleem, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0sweet. always loved the hedgehog. never quite liked him in 3D though.
- Tyorant, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah, you're right joehobbes, the time travel bits would be cool and yes, Sonic should only be playable but that doesn't mean to say there can't be the other characters included....."Eggman" should be returned to Robotnik.
3D Sonic ruined the series. - Tyorant, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wow, yeah that is a good piece on the exact reason i'm doing this petition!
If the petition works i'll definatly give that link along side it to SEGA. - joehobbes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0racketboy wrote a great piece encouraging a souped-up 2D Sonic:

- SamKellett, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's aimed at all formats of sonic. While Sonic Rush was a hit, they still continue to make 3d-games that are less than brilliant on the home consoles just because those machines "can".
- SamKellett, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's reviving the sonic that dominated the 16-bit era, I'm completely behind using all the technology available. You're right. As long as it is 2d.
- Tyorant, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Guys make sure you sign the petition on the link given on the title if you're are interested,
thankyou. - Tyorant, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That's strange, it works for me.
Well this is the link:

Hope that works for you. - Tyorant, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ah yeah, I don't understand why that is up there either, I think it is a place to discuss the petition but it's not working, it's not needed anyway :-p
- joehobbes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I was talking about this link:

Hasn't worked since I first saw the digg - Antialias, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0They already did.
http://ds.ign.com/articles/666/666139p1.html
and it's received great reviews. - joehobbes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0well, discussion is always good -- especially for those that don't find it through digg.
We need to spread the word about this elsewhere too -- especially if this digg doesn't make it to the front page.
Maybe racketboy will mention it. Pass around his post (see link above) with the petition and it might get people interested - Tyorant, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Well my friend (who posted it) and I have been posting it around forums such as Ctrl alt delete but it has not been a success, but I will try "racketboy".
Thanks. - joehobbes, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Looks like he posted it :) He linked to the Digg too
