- magaman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3The BBB is around to protect us the consumers against companies that put out faulty defective products, like Microsoft has done. Its not a complaint against there policy its a complaint against defffective product.
- atmicrat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Why would they extend the warranty? And loose all that repair loot? Or even better you buy a new system? How many ps2 systems do you own? I own 3.
- estvir, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Haha, because online petitions _always_ work.
/rolls eyes.
Reported as lame. - magaman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I guess you were the one lucky person to get a rep to bend the rules for you or somthing.
- magaman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah whats up with that?? I'm re-posting it all. I guess they are fearing the heat.
- motoxer52, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i wasnt really sure on that too but the petition is a step an if u want to go to the next step i guess file a complaint on failure of hardware.
- jtillwick, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Umm, when clicking on the headline I am taken to http://forums.xbox.com and asked to sign in. Once I do so, I am told that the forum topic does not exist. Also, the link that is supposed to point to the petition above does not resolve at all. Is this just me, or did M$ take down the effort to tell them how much we hate them?
- magaman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1MS took down the topic for some reason. Here is the direct link to the petition http://www.petitiononline.com/xbox360w/petition.html

Just a note, my 360 recently failed (I purchased in January - had 3 red lights) and Microsoft extended my warranty and repaired it free of charge. I never purchased an additional warranty either. Just whatever came w/ the unit. Not sure the specifics for your situation, but MS did right by me... - WackyT, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I was actually gonna sign the petition until I read:
"Also if you agree with myself and others that MS is wrong in their policy PLEASE, PLEASE file a complaint with the BBB. To file a complaint is free and can be done on-line in a matter of mins."
What does he want them to complain about? Microsoft complying with their published warranty period?
Lame. - motoxer52, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1ms took down the forum but here is the petition
