- synaesthesia, on 10/11/2007, -1/+88I give it another 40 minutes before the bomb squad takes it down.
- TerriSchiavo, on 10/11/2007, -1/+31Go try this in Boston, lemme know how it goes.
- guybrush, on 10/11/2007, -3/+31In Seattle? Unlikely.
- khalorei, on 10/11/2007, -2/+27One of those square telephone poles. Duh.
- JEWestbrookJR, on 10/11/2007, -8/+27Too bad a round phone pole was about the worst choice of location. Can't even get a good pic.
- purezero, on 10/11/2007, -2/+21That's right outside my school (The Art Institute of Seattle). It's been there for quite a while.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+13i think that may be an improvised explosive device, it has staples and paper.
- Kazanoe, on 10/11/2007, -2/+13Yup, definitely resembles Wii ingenuity.
This is genius. - jon02129, on 10/11/2007, -0/+10Looks more like construction paper. Construction PAPER. On a pole. PAPER Mario on a pole.
- ers35, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7It IS paper Mario. The artist used colored post-it-notes.
- peachpeach, on 10/11/2007, -0/+7It's been there for about a month. It's right outside of my school, The Art Institute of Seattle. (figures!) Nobody has vandalized it so far, and the sun and rain haven't faded the paper either.

- jhaydon, on 10/11/2007, -1/+4We're not stupid, you are.
- parkermauney, on 10/11/2007, -2/+5I'm the second reply!
- MackenzieArbour, on 10/11/2007, -0/+3I know. What a friggin retard.
Better? - rdsxminion, on 10/11/2007, -1/+3mario is far from cute... he is a plumber
- ij00mini, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Dude... chill out.
- FCDirtyDrummer, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Aw, I was excited to inform you all that I went to AIS but it seems 4 people beat me to it.
I think its cool as hell tho, it goes all the way around the tree... - ashe77, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1some chicks digg blue collar men. They may not be wasting time on digg.com, but there's something about their hard working sweat that reeks MAN.
- RobotChicken1, on 03/07/2008, -1/+2I was thinking actual Paper Mario. But the rest of the title doesn't fit.
- meyerweb, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1For those who asked where this can be found, the original photos (see http://www.flickr.com/photos/meyerweb/tags/papermario/ ) are geotagged, so that should get you in the right place.
Also, I want to make clear that I did *not* create this street art. I just took pictures of it and posted them to Flickr. One of the three pictures brought up by the Flickr-tag link is a shot of the artist's (or artists') signature(s). Just want to make sure credit goes where it's due. - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1it doesnt pour in seattle, it only sprinkles... a lot
so it should be fine for a while at least... i love this city. - Malarie, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1This is absolutely brilliant. :) Know your roots!!!
- KamikazePURPLE, on 10/11/2007, -4/+4It's awesome, but it would be far more awesome if it were on more than just one pole.
- Sepeteus, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1...but the staples didn't mind at all and the mosaic stayed in place.
- lucas22, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Stencil art is way better!
http://www.flickr.com/photos/lucasworthmaster/ - MediumPimpin, on 10/11/2007, -0/+0I saw the kids making this as they were putting it up. Its been up since May 25th, must be a slow day for news if this makes it to the top ten.
- smacksaw, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1I'm surprised the ELF hasn't blown up the telephone pole for wasting paper.
- xdoctortx, on 10/11/2007, -1/+0Hmm... someones car must have been spray painted.
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -3/+2The power company can lick my balls.
- Sil369, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1"That's right outside my school (The Art Institute of Seattle). It's been there for quite a while."
Are you saying this is a DUPE? >:( - ashe77, on 10/11/2007, -2/+1but really I made the comment coming from a mother of two boys that would find such an effort... CUTE!
- TFiHS, on 10/11/2007, -3/+1Actually -- it's been up for a couple of weeks (a month maybe). It's a pole in front of the south campus of my school, the art institute of seattle. I'm sure it was a student (or a group of students) so I doubt that it will be taken down aggressively as some of you have suggested.
- adnbassist182, on 10/11/2007, -4/+2Mario stole my lunch :(
- KillerLettuce, on 10/11/2007, -4/+2Good luck finishing it without some copper busting you.
- limeyfather, on 10/11/2007, -2/+0......it's machine code.
- aepex, on 10/11/2007, -5/+2Yep, I attend AIS also, and took a few pictures of that... but looks like I was beaten to the punch of making it popular, hah.
Other people can look up AIS on Google Maps or something to find out exactly where this is at. - SilentRamble42, on 10/11/2007, -4/+1Might cause the vity to think drugged-up plumbers are going to attack
- inactive, on 10/11/2007, -7/+4Where else was he/she going to staple it to?
- crash331, on 10/11/2007, -5/+1Why can there only be 1 reply to each comment? This system is retarded.
Anyway, I hope the artist comes back to clean this up. I work for the power company and I would be pretty pissed if I had to clean this up on a Monday morning. - ashe77, on 10/11/2007, -4/+0awww, that is so cute!
- WillSWC, on 10/11/2007, -6/+1hahaha, Totally awesome! And what the heck does it matter what Console it was taken from?
- scrag10, on 10/11/2007, -6/+1At first all I saw was Sonic, then Mario then I realized Sonic was the blue sky and a Koppa.
- Kazanoe, on 10/11/2007, -7/+1I'm trying to make sense of what you just said there, and I'm drawing a blank.
- msgmsg, on 10/11/2007, -8/+1Cut the crap - this is not "street art", this is graffiti. Only a small portion of the population will appreciate this if only for a few seconds, and somebody's gonna have to clean up all those staples. Useless.
- robszol, on 10/11/2007, -10/+3must have been one of those digg users...
- imsobored151, on 10/11/2007, -15/+7this isnt paper mario
this is the original mario game... - inactive, on 10/11/2007, -9/+0Not really that cool.
- Alegoo92, on 10/11/2007, -13/+3I know what a friggin retard
