PSP Emulator For Windows Screenshots

psp-news.dcemu.co.uk — Noxa has released a screenshot of his WIP PSP Emulator for Windows playing the game Tales of Eternia. The Emulator plays already some Commercial games and Homebrew games. Perfect for those who cant afford a PSP but want to know what all the fuss is about with the Homebrew Community on the PSP.

  • dewyjuhl, on 10/11/2007, -10/+3why would you want that? The psp is great because it is portable, just buy a ps2 practically all its games are ports anyways. The same goes for homebrew, its really cool because you can take an entire snes library anywhere you go, but there are much simpler easier to use emulators for the pc. Why add another step to the process?

    • TocsinFilms, on 10/11/2007, -9/+2It sucked. It was a completely different Metal Gear than all the rest, meaning that it sucked. It was all in teams, and everyone knows that Solid Snake works alone. It was horrible.

      If you want to play it just download an iso, I upped one on Demonoid when it was released. ***** buying it.

      You're right about the loner part except that Metal Gear for the PSP doesn't feature SOLID SNAKE. It features NAKED SNAKE / BIG BOSS.

    1) Selling games on slow loading UMDs
    2) Preventing user video from accessing the full resolution of the display... to make their UMD releases look better.
    3) Never releasing the USB keyboard that would have made it a great Internet device... to make their MIVO Email Device look better (and refusing to release the code to let anyone else make one for it)
    4) Continually blocking and reblocking homebrew
    • Tahiri, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1Games are sold on UMD to lower publishing costs, the same reason games are released on optical mediums for other systems.

      Homebrew is blocked to block piracy, which developers MAKE Sony do. Or they won't make games for PSP.

      There is no code for a USB keyboard for PSP in the firmware, thats why it was never released.

    Right, im sure people can't wait to play an emulator within an emulator that requires a top of the line desktop to emulate a portable system.

    Methinks people would prefer to use this to play PSP games instead of PSP homebrew.

  • caddyalan, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1I wanted to like Tales of Eternia, but it was just a slightly enhanced port of a PS1 game. The dubbed voices weren't great in 2001, and they weren't great in 2005.
