- jamms, on 10/12/2007, -7/+12wow. that will make for one awkward, ugly cell phone.
- flamingmb, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3could they be any bigger?
- Aztlan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The placement of the attachments makes the keyboard useless cause the PSP would be resting on your wrist to use it with your thumbs. (Or your hands would be covering the screen) It also looks like the weight of the PSP would pull it down as one types.
- ZOverLord, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2This one is a virtual PSP Keyboard, it's FREE and available now!:

- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1thank you sony.... the first thing that i have finally gotten to thank you for (after the PSP itself)
- adml_shake, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1bleh, they can add whatever they want but untill they start pumping out more GAMES for their GAME machine I'm not gonna be picking one of these up.

You mean that? - ductions, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@kevin_qnn
yeh having it above the screen is stupid, having to cover the screen up with your hands whilst you type doesnt seem very ergonomic - NewEvolution, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Is it just me, or would you have to have x-ray vision to actually see what you're typing while you're typing it? That keyboard seems to be positioned so that it hangs out OVER the screen....placing your wrists across it while typing anything. I'm sure they'll make some changes to that layout before release (I hope) by flipping the keyboard orientation and perhaps causing the act of plugging in the keyboard to invert the PSP's screen display? If not, that's one add on on par with the N-Gage sidetalkin' phone functionality...
- Mr.X, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That looks worse then the Ngage if that is even possible.
- rockforever, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Uh... if they let you add a service say TMobile or something, add a BLUETOOTH headset attachment thats already popular, why wouldnt this work... the PSP could be in your pocket when you talk. Make the call then just put it away. Its gonna get GPS remember, not just VOIP
- kevin_qnn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1the psp eyetoy will have a built in microphone for video chat so i doubt they will release a separate phone device. and there is a headset already for online games. i also hope that the keyboard doesn't go above the screen, that would be kinda weird.
- dotrock, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3http://www.hizone.info/data/2004/05/13/images/sony-psp-keyboard.jpg These patents were issued on November 10, 2004 (before the PSP's release) and were filed by a few Sony developers and they called for an "ornamental design."

http://www.htk.com.br/ - Psykus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'd add this into the original post, but my edit timer is out.
There are several headsets available for the PSP, and they can be used for voice chat in several online enabled games, just see the Google results, http://www.google.com/search?q=psp+headset&start=0&ie=utf-8&oe=utf-8&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official
They could just release Skype or something on a UMD and have VoIp functionality out of the box, no attachments required, apart from the headset of course. A homebrewn VoIP client could also be written, which would be a fun project. - Psykus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2That indicates that someone on your friends list has dugg the article.
- SamboGT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I already have a PSP headset. Why would I need the phone attachment? I would use the keyboard, though. Message boards would be great for that.
- mc1123, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1there is definitely a headset attachment. If you look at the audio out, there is a small parallel port that was recently only used for the crappy remote, but they have a $20(?) headset that you can use.
- SniperX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yeah, this was even on digg i believe at one point, old news.
- Psykus, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3You don't need a cellphone attachment for VOIP, the PSP already has WiFi and a headset port.
Edit: I guess it only has a headphone port...I could of sworn I read that it had some sort of microphone as well for online play? - digitalgopher, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1it has a "headphone" port not a "headset" port. where's the mic?
- clickmyface, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Is that the iTunes Logo?
- Elranzer, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Nintendo would like to announce that the Nintendo DS will NOT be getting a cellphone attachment or keyboard, but instead developers will continue to focus on making new exciting games for the device.
- jamesob5, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Looks pointless
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1bah just get a laptop
I never use my psp for anything, not even games
i was disappointed by the game selection - Psykus, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1Not spam, it's a site poking fun at the original Nokia N-Gage's "sidetalkin" feature, that is, having to turn the system sideways to talk on it with the built-in cellphone functionality. They "fixed" it in the N-Gage "QD", allowing you to use it more like a standard cellphone.

- digitalgopher, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1@ Psykun - Thanks for sharing your spam with us, jackass.
- Psykus, on 10/12/2007, -12/+3The cellphone attachment would be worthless without this important feature....
