- Sharky, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3That bsod is part of the code for the emulator, not the PSP firmware.
- XorSystem, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I thought it was funny, give the guy a break
- hater2win, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Like I said:
I JUST THOUGHT IT WAS FUNNY!
I JUST THOUGHT IT WAS FUNNY!
I JUST THOUGHT IT WAS FUNNY!
Take it with a grain of salt man. Don't overanalyze it. - Philbert, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1haha yeah I doubt Sony would say "Sh*t Happens"
- Quaazar, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1bwaa

That's good stuff!! Who cares if it's fake, stop being so anal. - Ravensky, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Here's a mirror if it really does run out of bandwidth.
http://www.ravensky.org/images/pspbsod.jpg - pcgeek101, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1LOL "***** happens" that's hilarious ... + digg for the humor
- wastern, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3you all sure are a bunch of ass holes that don't read before you criticize *****.
+digg just to spite all the self righteous ***** heads - CJHtxGeek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It is real, whats funnier is when you you get a bsod while on the Apple ][ emulator, happens kinda often, just have to make sure you boot with no disk, then load, and boot again, shouldnt have any problems then... but yeah, thats the emulators, not the actual psp
On a side note, when downgrading, after you "rebirth" your psp DOES display its BSOD, saying simply, in like 12 different languages:
"Your Settings are currupted, we are going to default them ok?" - Sharky, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I thought it was funny. Oh and by the way, sony would say something like that , but it's usually in the comments of the source code. Linux kernel, Quake 3, and other open sourced applications have proven that it's fun to swear at the code in comment form.
- Rojo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0wow PSP's are polite
- walkingcrow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Funny stuff man
- Urza_the_Tyrant, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Done and done.
This is true, if you run a ROM that is not compatible with teh snes9Xtl then you will indeed get this error. Bit of humor the snes9xtyl team added in. - superrad, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hehe. this happens to me runnin Snes9xTYL Only After i load an Iso using EMU 8, and don't restart and load up snes9x. But it didn't happen before while using Fastloader V. 7.. It was cool at first but now it bugs me. haha..
- sgtkillmore, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0that's hilarious

+digg - canucksin2006, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1geez don't you people have a sense of humour, why do you have to analyze every little thing, it's just something funny to show, why the hell do you guys have to be so seriously, you'll never get through life with a attitude like that.
- dusty, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0JimXugle (1) < ./this_is_lame.sh >
Boy that was clever. - hater2win, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah, its part of the emulator, but I just thought it was funny and thought I would share it with everyone.
- zweben, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Chill everyone, jeez. Pretty funny.
- hater2win, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It WAS the emulator. And if you read above "pooavenger" we already clearly stated it was from the emulator. Like I said, you can reproduce this yourself by running star ocean on SNES9xTYL. There is no photoshop involved.
- dna42fan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0it is pretty damn funny
+digg & blog - hater2win, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Please upload this to a different file server if you'd like, in case this one goes down.
- nybble, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0ausome!
digg++ - Rain, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"You were very quick to get to your camera...almost...too quick."
I agree. Nevertheless, it was funny :P - tehLazyPirate, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0BSOwn'D
+digg - siouxmoux, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Add that PPS BS OD to the hall of fame Archives
- billizm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Lots of hacked programs have cus words in them when "***** hits the fan".
- Skyflash, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Ahahah, very funny! :D
- IraqManiac, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0lol
I regret to inform you that your psp has just crashed
***** happens... :-( - Arkz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i got a screen that looked almost identical to this when FileAssistant crashed the first time i used it, it was the same except at the bottom instead of the 10 second thing it said "must be due to some 3rd party software, it cant posibly be our fault" and at the sh*t happens bit it said "contact sony technical support"
- IraqManiac, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"errr that is so sad all u did was run a program that had a blue screen and said ***** happed u r sad"
you're a douchebag
"Faulty title for article, no digg."
same goes for you, but you know how to spell
anyways, that's funny! - Achilles1942, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0thats a digg and a half
- Fr0sTy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i've gotten one that's a little different... i was using the psp file assistant on my psp of course... i tried opening an atari 2600 rom file, and was promted to press triangle to continue 3 times, then i got a blue screen saying that my PSP has crashed! and also whatever else happened as a result of the crash is not the programmers fault. blame 3rd parties. other than that i dont fully understand that statement, my psp is fine. so far that's the only crash i've faced...
- croc1892, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This reminds me of what the computer says after u open the gates in zanzabar
- kidafrika, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"psp sux" - doofus
Really fighting against that nick, eh?
I knew what it was when I read it. That didn't take away from "teh funney". +digg - Fr0sTy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0it's not fake at all people!!! it happened to me too!!!
- Pooavenger, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0it's not a PSP blue screen it's from the emulator. I think people think it's from the PSP but it's not. that's why this story isn't interesting at all.
- Axthos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i got the same thing on my psp but it wasnt BLUE it was RED and i got so freaked out, but well a simple restart did the job.. damn nes emulator
- Zodzilla, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1While I can understand that you guys think that this is pretty funny, it just doesn't strike me as a diggable story, because it's not like the BSOD was implemented by Sony themselves. I mean, anybody can come up with an error that has "***** happens" on it whenever things go awry, regardless of if it's on the PSP, PC, or another homebrewable (is that a word?) console. Personally, I marked it as "OK, this is lame". I think that digg should be a community built around stories that hold value in the tech world, not stories that simply entertain. That's why this place isn't Fazed or Fark but is Digg.
- hans.m, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0***** happens :-(
That's just plain funny :-) - hater2win, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Heh, I wasn't quick, after it restarted, I just redid what I did to make it crash.
If you would like to duplicate this (to those of you who say it's fake) get SNES9xTYL and download the Star Ocean rom. Try and run it and you will get this screen. - j.carcinogen, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0what the hell is funny about this?
- PacoBell, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0It would have been funny if it had actually been the PSP OS that did that. No spite from me, but still no digg =P
- Singee15, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0You were very quick to get to your camera...almost...too quick.
- rawr, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Man you people suck.
1. Obviously it wasn't placed there by Sony, but a bsod on a psp if funny nonetheless.
2. Too quick to get the camera? He said he knows what exactly happens to get to the bsod, so it would stand to reason that he did it once, found out why, then repeated to take a picture.
Jesus, stop being pricks. - DFrag, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Holy *****, that's awesome.
lmao - Arkitan, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Funny!
- steal_apps01, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0no of course it's the "emulator" or the guys photoshop of the bsod.
nice photoshop idiot -
