It seems like all I here is Xbox360 Vs PS3 and the new Nintendo doesn't even get a mention in the same sentance as them.
It was the same with the Game Cube, Xbox & PS2....News flash people!!!! Specs dont mean a thing if you don't have the games to back them up!
I believe that the Revolution will be every bit as good as the other two, the only reason that the specs for the Revolution are so much lower is that Nintendo Measures Power with all Effects on, Sony and Microsoft only do RAW Processing Power, So not a Fair Test!

Regarding the controllers, are they gonna be as responsive as the MS ones? I cant find the exact quote now, but I read somewhere that MS's wireless ones are going to be amazingly responsive and accurate, with 40ft range, compared to the 30ft range of bluetooth? Also, I think the MS controlllers batteries last longer? I'm not sure on any of these, so maybe someone can confirm this.. or 'unconfirm' as the case may be. Also, the fact that it has 7.. surely that doesnt mean 7 player split screen? Can you split games up between 2 screens with one ps3, so you can have 3 vs 6 on 2 tvs with one ps3? Also the fact that its 7 and not 8 is just plain wierd, as you can have only 4 vs 3 at best?
Regarding PS3 online service, yes that camera was great, as was the fact that you could transfer data from your ps3 to your psp from anywhere in the world. Thats sounded awesome. But in my experience (maybe its just me?) Things like that never work out smoothly... hell, xbox LIVE took me 3 hours to set up in one night, as I had to input ALL the numbers, and the addresses manually, and seeing as I dont really know basic stuff like the difference between a MAC address and an IP address, you can see why it took me so long!!.... or maybe its because that was the night they were changing stuff in preparation for halo2.. either way, what I'm trying to say is, for the average guy like me, will all the stuff that you can do with the ps3 like remote wireless access with the psp be easy? Regardless of that anyway, I cant get a PS3, as I'm getting the 360 instead.
Another thing I've been thinking about, surely XBOX LIVE will be better than what SONY come up with, at least at first. LIVE at the moment is pretty damn good if you ask me, and after all the stuff there adding, I think it will be even better.. like offering $1,000,000 for winning racing tournaments.. though whether that is absolutely 100% I 'm not sure,, just gonnna have to take MS's word for it. And, this may just be me, but even if SONY did mention a 'marketplace-like' feature, I just believe that the xbox will just be better for online gaming, which is mainly what I'm getting it for, and the main reason Im not getting a PS3.
Also, regarding the ability to hook up to 2 high def tv's... thats great, but I cant even afford ONE high def tv not now, probably not for a looooooong time, let alone TWO!!!! I'm sure thats the same for most people too (not being judgemental). So that feature sorta goes out the window for me, as does the psp feature as i dont have one.
The fact that microsoft have allowed, and openly (if not verbally) shown pictures of the 360 connrcting with the ipod and psp simply just makes the 360 appeal more. Not only because I have an ipod, but although it seems wierd, I just like the fact tha MS have got the balls to admit that ipod are giants in the mp3 market, and that sony are in the handheld, and that they are thinking about the consumer's NEEDS so they bite the bullet and make the 360 compatible with competitor's products. I dont think SONY would do that omehow, but thats just me.
Thirdly and lastly (bet your relieved!!), can someone please put into LAYMENS TERMS this whole CPU (Computer proccessing unit.... maybe?) and GPU (graphics proccessing unit??), and tell me what each one is.. what each one does, and how it works out thaat the 360 is just as, if not more pwerful than the zbox..

Now, I was dissapointed with the 360 after seeing the graphics, and then watching the killzone video... so much so, that I actually wanted a ps3!! This is most probably due to the fact that I'm one of those people that are extremely influenced by hype and cool adverts with good music flashing lights, shiny buttons e.t.c.... However, I've been doing a couple of hours research, after which my faith in the 360 is restored, and there is now now doubt that I'm going to be getting an xbox 360....
1.) First things first. Killzone. We've all seen it, we were all amazed, it made us WANT a PS3. However, prior to contrary belief, it seems VERY likely that Killzone WAS NOT in game graphics. 2.) PS3 is more powerful. Thats another thing thats got us all excited, me included. But then I stumbled across a site, with people that work in the computer industry and actually know what there saying. totally neutral, not fanboys. When it boils down to it the ps3 isnt as powerfull as sony make it out. They gave us a lot of numbers.. numbers i dont even understand, but once you look closely its a whole different story. Hmm, Sony up to the same old BS as usual. As to my knowledge, the xbox 360 has a four fold advantage over the PS3 in regard to raw processing power. The Sony unit (CELL) has a tested output of somewhere in the area of 200-250Gflop. Now architectural differences aside (We'll get to that later), the tri-coreIBM PowerPC processor in the 360 can perform well over a Tflop (emphasis on "well over"). Some claim it to run closer in the range of about 1.2Tflop (Unconfirmed). I saw the whole presentation for the PS3, and I felt that deja vu all over again. Sony claims that it's graphics core adds on an additional 1.8Tflop of processing power for a total of 2Tflop. ??? ... ??? ... ??? . WOW! And I thought with the release of the PSP that Sony was finally ready to step up to the big boys' table... I was wrong. The absurdity of their claims can't even be measured, as a graphics core has nothing to do with the systems CPU. To put it simply, SCEI is lying, again. And simply is trying to their way out of another technology spoof (and miserably failing). Cell is no where close to the power of microsoft's processing solution, and just as last time when they claimed that their "emotional engine" was on top, it ended up about 1/10 as fast as the marketed number. This isn't to say that the PS3 is inferior to the XBOX 360, only that we have seen this before and obviously microsoft came out on top. As far as developing goes and coding, this system looks even more rediculous than the emotion CPU. Many argue that the PS2 was more powerful than the xbox when people learned how to use it, but to be honest no one (except maybe bungie) ever dug that deep into the XBOX's power. My guess from the lineup of 3rd parties this time around (a vast majority of Sony's staples hoping on the XBOX360 bandwagon) that sony has finally run out of marketing tactics to appease the consumers, and with development costs skyrocketing, I think developers will put more consideration into what system they decide to base their games. But this is really just fuzz right now. Most consumers are terribly educated and will usually just listen to whatever the cool crowd says. Last gen, Sony had overwhelming support from pop culture, which made playstation into the cliche that took out nintendo. I think already with microsoft's MTV marketing campaign and sleek design (not to mention billions of dollars) that they will push sony out of the market. But this all remains to be seen. One thing is for damn sure. CELL is no where near as powerful as the 360CPU. It's almost unethical to compare them.

3.) did i mention XBOX LIVE? I wathched the whole 360 1hr 21 min convention, and live looked UN ***** BELEIVABLE. Sony have got ***** on M$ regarding online gaming.. ps2 online, I think well all agree was nothing compared to XBOX LIVE. Sony have not yet mentioned anything, but they most probably do have plans for a live service. At the moment, I'm not ruling out ps3 live, I'm just saying that Microsoft will almost 100% probably produce a far better online experience, as they been doing it longer, and have perfected it.
Overall I think 360 is more a more flexible machine, not only a fantastic console, but a great device for connectivity, multimedia, personalisation, and of course FUN Very

Whereas Sony has had great PS only games. Nintendo just needs to get out of the console market and dominate in the handheld market like it has. The Crapcube was a waste of cash unless you are under the age of 16. There were very few great MA games for that system. The rest were children's games. All the while the Xbox and PS2 were churning out Teen/Adult games which is the main consumer age base.

Hardware manufacturers sell generally at a steep loss from the get-go and I don't think any console since 1996 has launched at over $300. The Xbox 360 in particular cannot afford to be priced any higher, since the whole point of launching a year early is to get the jump on the PS3. Setting the price too high will muffle initial sales and Microsoft doesn't have any time to waste. Sony is dictating the terms here, so Microsoft will have to deal with further losses to make up ground as 2006 leads into the PS3 and Revolution. The pricing scenario will likely be similar to the last generation with Microsoft and Sony likely being comparatively equal and Nintendo aiming a notch lower, at least judging by the technical specifications so far.

People would say that theyve already done that, with laptops, which would be wrong. First of all, the ones that are even close to having the same graphics as xbox are well over $1000. Im typing right now on a laptop that costs $1400, w/ amd64 athlon processor, ati 9800, xp office, 1gig ram, and 80gig hd, and it STILL can barely play doom3 at high graphice. MEanwhile, the xbox console doom3 looks Beautiful!!!

My bet PS3 are gonna be having the Top 10 games in all geners of Rpg,Fps,racing you name it they got it .+ the games are unlimited ..youll see xbox seels now cause they have always feared what the PS3 gonna pop up like and they were suprised were they not ? also check on that site to see if they can explain gpu as well, but for finding out how ech of the systems work, your on your own. xbox 360 is using an entirely new gpu, so ne1 whos trying to compare these things are frustrated as hell. Most of these facts are just opinions, because nobody really knows how these new processors work, so any info is not much more than a random (and biased) guess.

Nah I disagree, and I own all three consoles, I am not all that biased, I tried and still say Gamecube was the best with their exclusive titles (and better graphics than the PS2 lol). The new Nintendo Revolution graphics are said to be up to par with PS3 and 360, and we don't yet know what they'll pull off. You can beleive they're paving a Revolution of microprocessers. And what's this I hear about Gamecube failing? From what I read of Nintendo power, they're revenues haven't been better! Gamecube has still to release the new Zelda which looks to be already my new favorite game. (Keep in mind I own every console and many other popular titles ). Nintendo has also announced something to allow non-corporate game developers to make game making easier. I still say Nintendo is going to blow the competition out of the water, they've been in it from the start and they know what they're doing, at least I hope so.
And No, PC- (Personal Computer) is different from a computer chip. And from the Xbox specs, it's just a PC with a fancy name. Honestly, Halo came out for computer, so what's the point in buying a console? Get a computer that can do all your PC gaming and it will have even more specs. Heck you'll have a moniter, online support (NO EXTRA COST FROM MS), any size Hard drive...
