- phpirate, on 10/12/2007, -4/+99We must attack its weakpoint. For massive damage.
- raindog469, on 10/12/2007, -4/+69I love the Power Glove. It's so bad.
- amatasu_zero, on 10/12/2007, -10/+67Will it install a rootkit in my brain?

RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDGE RACERRRR! - Rayonic, on 10/12/2007, -10/+55Actually, I thought that it sounded like the upcoming Xbox 360 "vision" camera. You know, the one they demoed at E3. (3d spacial mapping, gesture recognition, etc.)
Maybe Sony should start branching out. You know, start stealing from new sources. - arunforce, on 10/12/2007, -1/+39I'm all for attacking the brain, as long as we don't have to bring along Slippy.
- VincentIII, on 10/12/2007, -5/+41Eyetoy was a ***** camera that required me to have 5 lights on behind me and be during the day time to even have some sort of shape come up. Plus someone can run behind you, and the camera will decide thats a new arm in the game
- DoodleMaster, on 10/12/2007, -8/+44Cool idea, I was LIKE yea yeA yEA YEA YEAA!!!!!! WOOOOOT.....until that part about the "brain". I don't know but that is a little creepy...Hmm....Uh-oh sony does have a suprise in store for everybody Everyone buys a ps3 and bam turns out the ps3 will drag you down into the sewers scan your body and assume your identity. While Sony sits back and taks over the whole world.
- tidu, on 10/12/2007, -11/+44Yeah too bad the Wii's (you know, the guys that thought of it first and didn't steal the idea from a competitor's console) will be free at launch; in fact, it will be standard with the system.
- datagod, on 10/12/2007, -12/+43Oh joy! "Available" = $$$
Sony PS3 should be renamed AllYourCashAreBelongToUs-3 - flamingmb, on 10/12/2007, -5/+34and how are we supposed to beleive sony hype after all the ***** they have pulled?
- titlesaysitall, on 10/12/2007, -3/+32Does the PS3 have large talons?
- spling, on 10/12/2007, -8/+36I hear it does have a "three laws" mechanism built in.
Law 1) Lie
Law 2) Cheat
Law 3) Steal - iluvatar, on 10/12/2007, -3/+31@davidv
gameboy camera. how many times does it need to be said?
Back to the article, i remember a couple years ago sony talking about a new eyetoy being built into the ps3 for menu control or something. They referenced Minority Report back then, too. - gregmo, on 10/12/2007, -6/+28cute AND classy. You're a real catch birkoph
- VSKBadCRC, on 10/12/2007, -4/+26"Will it install a rootkit in my brain?"
Who cares, is it Three Laws safe? - shinynew, on 10/12/2007, -2/+24Oh god after reading both your comments i had a flash back to the boss fight in Fallout where it was a supermutant in the machine gun chair thing...
- SkeletaLlama, on 10/12/2007, -6/+25It's a peripheral, it's not included with the PS3. Which means, like the eyetoy, only a handful of games will use it. Unlike the Wiimote which is a part of the system itself, costs nothing extra and will be used by the majority, if not all of the games. Sony yet again steals ideas and fails to improve upon them or even match the quality of the original.
- AwesomeMonster, on 10/12/2007, -2/+19DAMNIT!!! beat me to it... "HE TOUCHED MY BREAST!!"
- the_mole1314, on 10/12/2007, -4/+21So some no-name site gets this crazy left field rumor, and we're supposed to believe it?
- phpirate, on 10/12/2007, -5/+21Isn't a bit late for sony to be adding this? It seems last minute kind of a thing, which means you can expect glitches and problems.
- Imusion, on 10/12/2007, -4/+19"Same ***** games with better graphics."
Isn't that what the PS3 is all about? Look how much better the graphics are in these games... GT, GTA, MGS.. yaddy yaddy ya - shinynew, on 10/12/2007, -1/+16IF its real and IF it works like they "said" it will...
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -8/+23"kind of like a communist state :("
No, like a democracy where the people actually have power (unlike democracies like the US etc). - Arramol, on 10/12/2007, -9/+24"1) Price because you're a 16 year old working at MacDonald's
2) Same ***** games with better graphics. Save the same princes... AGAIN!! in Zelda meets Mario wee wee.
3) Price - because you're poor
4) Innovative? It's a remote control.. you know like the same thing you have for your TV.
5) Price - because you're a flippin jew"
1) Or maybe I just think $500-$600 is an outrageous price to pay for a game console that plays games just like the ones I can already get on my computer, only shinier (a problem I can solve with a $300 graphics card upgrade)
2) The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has been named the best game ever made on several (non-Nintendo affiliated) gaming web-sites. Nintendo first party titles consistently place in gaming top ten lists, and New Super Mario Bros. was last week's best-selling game according to Gamespot. Out of the top ten, half of them were for the DS. Crappy games? The market doesn't seem to agree with you. And if you'd been listening, you'd know that it's not about playing the games with better graphics, it's about playing them with a better control scheme.
3) Again, maybe I have better things to do with my money.
4) Proof positive you're a fanboy. CURRENT controllers are more like remote controls than the Wiimote...controllers you just hold still and press buttons on. The Wiimote is designed for motion sensing, so that instead of mashing a button combo to swing your sword, you actually go throw the motions, thereby increasing immersiveness. Even if you don't find the idea appealing, surely you can tell the difference between this and a TV remote. Look beyond simple appearances.
5) Because anti-Semitism makes your points sound so much more valid. - Lynx34, on 10/12/2007, -2/+16Not if it attacks its weak point...
- heinousjay, on 10/12/2007, -13/+27You poor Sony fans must feel like you're dying. Nobody thinks you're cool anymore. I'll shed a tear for you.
- sneakerelph, on 10/12/2007, -2/+16"as long as we don't have to bring along Slippy"
dude, we NEED slippy so we can tell how much health the brain has! - SkeletaLlama, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Well it has one thing going for it, Sony isn't making it. It might actually work. Too bad it doesn't come with the system and there won't be any games for it.
- Scruffydan, on 10/12/2007, -12/+25Its been done... anyone remember the nintendo power glove?
- vdxc, on 09/29/2008, -9/+21what, it isn't programmed to install rootkits?
surely the laws would be:
1) Install Rootkit,
2) Siphon all cash to Sony,
3) Stop working once warranty is void - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -5/+15"new Israeli company that claims to be operating in stealth mode."
I call ***** and stopped reading the moment i saw that.
i'm sick to death of israeli companys that make all these stupid claims, and nothing ever comes of it. - uptown, on 10/12/2007, -3/+13It's all about the games .... not gimmicks...
- somerandomnerd, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Yes, a comment saying "I'm going to get dugg down" getting dugg down is just like a communist state. Only without the communism. Or the state.
- raindogmx, on 10/12/2007, -2/+12What's wrong with gamepads?
- oracle1, on 10/12/2007, -6/+16Yea, nintendo wii is way better than ps3, the controller is so cool....oh wait, thats right, the wii isnt out yet either and none of you have ever played it. All this nintendo fanboyism makes me not even want to buy a wii.
- McZiggz, on 10/12/2007, -4/+13hahaha!

please stay out of posting comments where you are saying the following:
rootkit
I will buy x
x ***** sucks
x will blow
x will rock
x > y when x nor y is out
x games suck
i love nintendo
wii
i love ps3
wii60 ftw...
IT IS GETTING ***** ANNOYING
we all know you hate the ps3 and you love/hate the wii...
i am tired of seeing pointless trolling comments (which almost all of the above are)
i hope the ps3 fails, but i dont go around posting on every sony/ps3 article saying ***** sony, or nintendo is the *****...
120 people commented on how they hate sony/ps3
over 400 people digged the article... the people who are commenting are not the majority, nor the voice of gamers... please stfu - SkeletaLlama, on 10/12/2007, -2/+11It's an add-on, not made by Sony. It will be available for PCs. It could come out for the 360 and the Wii, but what would be the point? Wii has the remote which already performs this function natively and the 360 has the camera add-on from E3 that does this too.
- EochaidRiata, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwTRl54RQOI
- thenativeraver, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10So where is this phantom ps3?
This is all just fiction until some working prototypes are out, and their not.
But then again, maybe the ps3 will ping back to their servers with all the user info.
How would you ever know? Their system will be locked down tight. - pinnette, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10If this were real and will be ready by launch, then it would have been displayed at E3. They did display a little gimpy camera thing that allowed user interaction w/a card based rpg. That is most likely what this is talking about. If you didn't see it, you may still be able to go back and watch the Sony press conference at gamespot. Personally, I don't care about playing a card based rpg on my video game console.
- SkeletaLlama, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10You underestimate Sony's arrogance. This is the company that told us the next gen didn't start until they said so. They expected people to be impressed with their press conference because they were Sony and they said it was impressive. Even after their conference failed Kutaragi still said in interviews that people were excited by the conference. Sony doesn't live in our world, that's why we have to travel to theirs to play with them.
- BugMeNot2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8From TFA:
"This reminds us of what Gesture Tek have hinted is possible with XBox 360 but taken one big step further. " - dolson, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8If this were true, then why would they bother with the tilt-sensing that was tossed in last minute? To throw everyone off? Don't you think that they would have announced this tech at E3? Why would they wait? They knew that Nintendo would own E3, so their only chance would have been there, to trump them. Too little, too late.
- Daryl209, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Word
- bwjacket, on 10/12/2007, -6/+12The only "Secret Weapon" that is going to save the PS3 at this point would be having the disc tray pop open upon the first start-up and producing a piece of paper entitling the owner to a 200 dollar rebate.
- castleking, on 10/12/2007, -3/+9Why are they releasing it for the PC? I thought that the PC was dead?
- Ollin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5I am for one maybe one of the only few on this website that is on the fence with the Wii and PS3. On one hand I love the PS2 and the PSX and what they really did for gaming and for really opening my eyes in the console scene. But then I have weigh the price of the Wii compared to the PS3, and also the games coming out for the Wii. IF IF this turns out to be true and they use it to its fullest potential then I'm going have to go with the PS3.
- keithwired, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7pinette, nintendo has some secrets they didnt reveal even at E3 such as the mystery door, just because they didnt show it at E3 doesnt mean it hasnt been worked on until just now
