- Harabeck, on 01/16/2009, -5/+84Anti-addiction measures? That's absurd.
- Zervaman, on 01/17/2009, -3/+63In communist China, games play you!
- falafelkiosken, on 01/17/2009, -2/+58because getting addictive by online games is so much worse than living in a dictatorship without human rights
- Deeh, on 01/17/2009, -7/+60Sounds pretty *****' fascist to me.
- anthropodeus, on 01/18/2009, -0/+47the real purpose is to find out which kids are the most strategically and tactically adept in FPSs, and then make them officers in the chinese army.
- oboshoe, on 01/17/2009, -3/+44Well it is China
- jbob2000, on 01/17/2009, -3/+37Except the video games industry is a multi billion dollar industry, so us sitting here buying and playing games is probably doing more for the economy then your 9-5 job.
- inactive, on 01/18/2009, -1/+31China is tired of mongolians using wallhax in online games.
- Ymeg, on 01/18/2009, -1/+20not mutually exclusive.
In fact, if history thought us anything, they are the same. - andrewlotta, on 01/17/2009, -0/+15What are you talking about?
- Ragzouken, on 01/18/2009, -2/+17Since when was a rat's ass a measure of knowledge? What happened to good ol' Library of Congresses?
- RadiatedAnt, on 01/18/2009, -0/+14Damn mongorians keep tearin' down my ***** wall!
- flangepiece, on 01/18/2009, -2/+16The amusing twist to this exchange of outstandingly witty repartée, is that when spoken phonetically in Mandarin, your usernames respectively allude to being afraid of the colour blue, and the act of giving sexual pleasure to farm animals.
- alexbox, on 01/16/2009, -20/+33Only China. At least they are taking video game addiction seriously. We just give kids Ritalin and call it ADD
- xprojects, on 01/17/2009, -2/+15Nope, that's just China. Silly China!
- MaxMWood, on 01/18/2009, -8/+20China sucks.
- mikembley, on 01/18/2009, -0/+11Last week, I saw a film. *As i recall* it was a horror film.
- renanrcarvalho, on 01/18/2009, -0/+11Fook mi?
- coldkill3r, on 01/17/2009, -0/+11You were fragged by HU J1NT4O.
- Sloi, on 01/18/2009, -0/+10I'm so ***** tired of the government/big brother "protecting" me. Whatever happened to just letting people live and make mistakes? I don't give a ***** that some idiot can't stop playing and dies as a result - deal with this ***** on an individual level. Stop attempting to legislate everything because risk is involved.
... - mysticalone, on 01/17/2009, -6/+16Fook Yu.
- ECas123, on 01/18/2009, -0/+9SILENCE.
- RiouG, on 01/17/2009, -0/+9Anyone else wondering what the measures will be if they notice someone playing too much?
Will they disconnect him?
Will someone have access to those powers and be in charge to watch over the gamers?
Or is it just a feature for parents etc. to watch their children? - oxdeltaxo, on 01/18/2009, -1/+10Anti-Addiction measures? That's a joke its more like pro-productivity measures, can't have those strong young men at home doing nothing when they can have them laboring all day in re-education camps can they?
- CoreyTamas, on 01/17/2009, -1/+9Your basis in science and logic are sketchy, but your comedic delivery was excellent. I give it a 6.5.
- Mistuke, on 01/18/2009, -0/+8Oh i can see it now, the one game per child law.
- Cloned, on 01/18/2009, -0/+7"at a game called Halo 2".
I'm pretty sure everyone knows what Halo is. No need to explain it. - grim1316, on 01/18/2009, -1/+8I bet flyinguitar is commie lover.
- nicu426, on 01/18/2009, -0/+7I like your style
- KibibyteBrain, on 01/18/2009, -0/+7At least I can say United States foreign policy is a horror and G.W. Bush is the worst President in recent history openly without having any fear what-so-ever. Doubt they could do the same in China. The US has its fair share of issues, but they are not the same.
- Misterberu, on 01/18/2009, -0/+7"Pwn limit exceeded. Please try again tomorrow."
- BassMastr, on 01/18/2009, -0/+7Ahhh the death of the Internet Tough guy...that's the only benefit to this.
- Barackalypse, on 01/18/2009, -0/+7No reported income on taxes + 12-18 hours of game play per day = assign special Chinese police member to follow suspect
- thePTS, on 01/18/2009, -1/+8Nice knowledge on ADD and Ritalin you have there.
- inactive, on 01/17/2009, -1/+8Stalker much?
- inactive, on 01/17/2009, -2/+8I wonder how this will affect mmo economies, such as WoW. I remember how cheap things used to be ath the auction house or from other players, then over the past 2 years the gold sellers have gotten so bad, it raised the price on everything almost double. A sword that used to cost 500g now costs 1000g.
- YumYumTruck, on 01/18/2009, -0/+6I'm pretty good at civilization games..
If I move to china, will they make me emperor for life? - docbob84, on 01/18/2009, -0/+6Unless you can prove you spend all of your free time volunteering in your community, you never watch TV or read or work out or do anything unproductive with your time you don't spend working, I'm gonna have to say ***** you, hypocrite.
- Cloned, on 01/18/2009, -0/+6You sound like you would fit right in in China.
- ChinezePanda, on 01/17/2009, -1/+6except... you know.. over there... when you say something like that.. they arrest you.
Gotta love America! - poidh, on 01/17/2009, -1/+6It's not really communism, as they have embraced capitalism. Just call it totalitarianism.
- noerrorsfound, on 01/18/2009, -0/+5Walked outside into the rain,
Checked my phone and saw you rang and I...
JIZZED IN MY PANTS - inactive, on 01/18/2009, -1/+6excuse at an attempt to obtain more control over society.
- KibibyteBrain, on 01/18/2009, -0/+5Very good observation. China is scared as hell of its youth, especially at times like a recession[now]. Totalitarian governments of all kinds fear the young, because they naturally question things. Now they basically have an excuse to lock up any kid they want to, assuming they play games.
- morningmatters, on 01/18/2009, -0/+5This will probably help China fight the copy rights problem as well, although the biggest reason why China is doing this is to obtain control over its youth.
- marshallpeck, on 01/18/2009, -1/+6wut
- iPanda, on 01/18/2009, -0/+5No they burst in their house with guns and confiscate the computer.
Unless of course they have a burglar proof door, then they'll knock first. - CapeKid, on 01/17/2009, -0/+4How do they tell a gold farmer from a recreational player?
- Flashypoo, on 01/18/2009, -0/+4This is so big it may very well end up destroying the world (of warcraft) economy.
