The tough mazes are in there, but you have to go hunting at random for them. It might have been better if they'd just had a site where they randomly serve you a maze. (I guess they wanted to prove that it really was a billion mazes though.)

Correct me if I'm wrong, but on the order of Terabytes. Though, the algorithm might have something to do with the number so that the maze is the same every time you download it.

I'm someone who likes to go all out--I subscribe to podcasts and start from the beginning--I like to complete things...at first I thought--hey, I'll print it and finish them...maybe not.? If there were one million workers, that's 1 thousand per person so obviously they have an automated system...lol. They should show the easiest and toughest ones.

Or, they have a pool of lets says 1 million maze. That's a big number, the average user might do 100(Max) of them before he gets bored. So a pool of 10 000 unique maze seems reasonable. In one of my programming class we had to generate something similar, just on a smaller scale. - winnabago, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0'endless' or 'unlimited' used to be all the rage, but now we're back to hugely big numbers, like petabytes, etc...

A maze script uses a random number generator to choose which paths to make. To change the 'random' sequence, you seed the number generator with a number. If they simply seeded the generator with the number of the maze, this would guarantee each one would be different, since a normal 32 bit integer can go up to over 4 billion (unsigned), or 2 billion (signed). They also probably choose the style of the maze walls with the same seed.
