- gamasutra, on 10/12/2007, -4/+13There's no PS3s people complain. There are PS3's people complain. Go play with your games and STFU.
- LightsOut06, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9Im sick of this FUD these bloggers keep trying to spread. I went to EB games this past thursday. They had one PS3 in stock and I asked the manager how long he expected to keep it (it was around 3 pm) he told be that it will definently be gone in a few hours and they havent been able to keep the PS3s in stock. The best buy in my city hasnt been able to keep ps3s either. Everytime i have went they've been out of stock. I dont live in hickville either. I'm sick of reading this FUD 3-4 times a day on digg.
- strebalicious, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Another day, another "PS3's aren't selling" story.
Also, camera phones should be illegal. I'm tired of crappy, blurry pictures. - battlefield1985, on 10/12/2007, -2/+6wait...that means there in stock? because I picked the boxes up and nothings been inside of them...also I saw about 20 or so Wii boxes in a pile this weekend as well.
- Junkey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I bet if they rename them to BlueRay players they would sell better.
- dankoleary, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3It's from the T-Mobile dash. For some reason all the pics come out kind of blurry. Oh, sometimes my hands shake like a parkensons victim though, might have something to do with it.
- kalidav, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Can we stop posting these things of stuff still on shelves? I'm sure I've seen the same type of article posted 3 times now.
No, bashing PS3 (or any other console for that matter) does not make you cooler. - dankoleary, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6You have to register to see the pic? My bad. FFixed, with pic in thread. :)
- TDR25, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Must be the 20 gigs? I definitely wouldn't buy one at this point if ever, but I still find it hard to believe that they are just sitting on shelves. They may sit on shelves longer than the Wii does, but they probably still sell. After about March or April, I can definitely see this problem, but for the moment, the fanboys and Ebayers of the world should keep the PS3 in very short supply.
- BadassCheese, on 10/12/2007, -8/+10Hey! Wii consoles sit on shelves too. Burried as fanboy *****.

::Full Disclosure: I own a Wii and a 360:: - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Merits (or lack thereof) of the console aside, the fact is that after the holidays, everyone's getting the credit card bill for the presents they did buy, and they're going to be reluctant to throw around another $600+ (what, you're not going to get an additional controller and at least one game?).
- battlefield1985, on 10/12/2007, -5/+7What a Pathetic Attempt...
- dankoleary, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Dude, I should have taken a pic of the 6 sales guys herding customers over to the desk trying to hard close them on the 60 gig PS3. Now that was some funny *****.
- NanoStuff, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Do we really have to see this every time someone doesn't buy a PS3?
- Shizlanski, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Alright this about the 5th article on the same BS thats popped up on the homepage this week. Who gives a crap if PS3s are on shelves. Whoopdeedoo.
Also, i don't plan on getting a ps3 (i have a wii) but all this fanboy crap needs to stop. - andy421983, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I own 2 xbox 360s, a ps3 and a wii. I may have more money to burn then the average Joe, but I've played all the "next-gen" consoles. After about a week of ps3 ownership, I think its a pretty impressive device. Its on-line features pale in comparison to the xbox 360 (i like the dashboard and xbox live much better). But I can tell that the ps3 is going to be a horse of a "pure" gaming machine. Load times are fast, the graphics appear just as rich on my HDTV as my 360 games. I love the controllers, they are much lighter than the 360 controls and very responsive. Sure its not the wii-mote but sometimes the wii-mote gets kind of tiring. Overall I think the ps3 is a pretty solid gaming machine -- and its going to be great once we get passed the launch titles. Hopefully Sony will consider a price drop in a year to make it a bit more affordable. Overall, I think the ps3 actually has a lot of great potential... even more potential than the xbox 360 when it comes to features, accessories, graphics power, and game-play. Its not the wii, but Nintendo is never going to release a number of the types of games that will come out on the ps3. Overall, stop hating. Each of the 3 next-gen consoles have their pros and cons.
- raindog469, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Can't get either one of them (nor a Wiimote) within a hundred miles of me. But sure, I can believe there are spot surpluses of any of those items in different places due to errors in shipment or whatever.
- StickyShoez, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Man I'm getting tired of seeing the demise of the PS3. I myself own a Wii and love it. I don't ever plan on paying $600 for a PS3 but to be honest I still want it to do well because competition is good. It makes for better games, lower pricing, and is just plain good for the customer. Any fan of video games should be wishing the same for the PS3 because whether we like Sony or not, it will only benefit the industry.
- lwalk80, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Well, I've been to every store in my area and haven't seen a single Wii. I have seen 6 PS 3's locked in the windowed cabinets at several stores. That's not to say there wasn't more PS3's, I don't know. I just know what I see and that is that PS3 is not selling as well as the Wii in my area. Fort Smith/Van Buren, AR.
- MalDON, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1That's a huge pic for a camera phone...
- dankoleary, on 10/12/2007, -4/+5They had 17 in stock, and had 6 sales guys herding people over to try and sell them on it. It was funny to watch. No I'm not going to lie, had I not bought a new LCD-HDTV last week, I'd be unpacking a PS3 right now instead of digging.
- strebalicious, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11.3 Megapixels. Doesn't sound out of the ordinary to me.
- F9Phoenix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Send those PS3s to NYC. We're dying for some here. Sold out everywhere.
- MalDON, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I find it kinda funny that despite the fact that the consoles are not selling, Sony is still pushing more out there. Over supply, no demand -> lower prices? Hell no.
- Slvgx, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Enough of this ***** already.
I'll prolly get dugg down for this, but so be it. Showing pictures of a stack of PS3s waiting to be bought means very little to me and we've had enough of these stories hit the front page. It seems to be a grade school boy logic to point and laugh at a picture of a PS3 on the shelf. - Topher06, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Going home for Christmas at some small Northern Ontario city, I was surprised that I could have bought the PS3 about 16 times before and after Christmas, but not one Nintendo Wii could be found anywhere. At the local Wal-mart they had signs posted on the front doors with a statement by Sony that because of supply issues they could not meet the demand of retailers, yet I saw a cabinet full of at least 10 PS3 and they were still pulling more from storage. After Christmas they might have had about 6 in the cabinet. If anything suggests that the PS3 had a failed launch, its the fact that they are available to buy in some city with 40,000 people 8 hours north of Toronto in the middle of nowhere.
- lwalk80, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I need a new PS2, mine died on me 2 days ago. No way I'm gonna buy a PS3 anytime soon because good God $600 is too rich for my blood. Some of the graphics I've seen on the games looks totally kickass though. I personally would hate to see the PS3 flop, but at the current moment it's a 360 for me. My brother's getting a Wii when he can find one.
- sdwilly, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2@Lightsout06
The BB by me had 40 they put up for sale this morning, when I showed up about an hour after opening all but 3 had been sold.
They did have a bunch of empty PS3 & Wii boxes on the sales floor, not quite sure why they do that but meh.
Now I do have to wonder what it says about someones life that they post this kind of *****, must not have much else going on in their life. - sgtgoomba, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Doubt all you want. I did too until I saw them lying around toys r us. Maybe it's just my area.
- sdwilly, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1So here is what I just noticed. He took the picture 3 hours after BB opened, and all BB's had at the minimum 25 units that went on the floor this morning. So even assuming that they only had the minimum of 25, they are well on their way to selling out by the end of the day.
- Sibertank, on 10/12/2007, -7/+6I swear to god if I see one more article on the front page about how PS3's aren't selling I'm going to snap!!
- Wailord, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I was at Walmart (gift card!) yesterday and they had two PS3s there and still do. I talked to one of the employees, wondering how well they were selling. While slightly annoying, she assured that they weren't selling at all here in Vegas...
- yoda715, on 10/12/2007, -4/+3The PS3 Fanboys will never accept the fact that the PS3 is failing, and failing badly. Let the flames begin!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2FTA: "I didn't buy one (the wife bought me a Wii, so what's the point?), but it was tempting."
Yeah, I'm guessing you just wanted to use the word 'fanboy'. Am I close? - Ookware, on 10/12/2007, -10/+3Shame you have to register to see the actual picture
