There is at least one place on the list that has been closed for over a year, and several places that I know will be carrying the Wii (like Wal-Mart) that aren't. It's still worth a look. It reminded me of a couple of small music stores other people may have overlooked if I get desperate.

  • carpespasm, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2if you've checked out xbox emulation and mod scenes, you'll see that there are emus for almost any system prior to playstation and n64. that being said i very much doubt that nintendo can't make a turbografix16 or genesis emulator work when there are countless clean and working emulators out there for them. the "unknown" bit probably means they don't have an exact list of which games they'll have and rather than talking out their ass would rather wait til they're sure.

    The virtual console site has Genesis and Turbo-Grafx controls for the GC controller listed as UNKNOWN. Does Nintendo even know if the VC works at all? I'm buying this thing primarily to get access to the VC, (not all of us like playing buggy ROMS from a keyboard on a 20" monitor when they've got a 65" TV in the living room) but they haven't debug tested it enough to know if their own freakin' equipment works on it or not... Well... guess what I'm buying tonight...

    If my current wavebird works on Sonic the Hedgehog, the classic controller I'm obviously going to not need is going right back to the store. Nickel and dime...
