- SLP1111, on 10/12/2007, -3/+19By far the worst Soviet Russia joke ever.
- Rikkochet, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11Sort of like the next generation of Scorched Earth.
And if you've played neither, you're beyond help! - Joystik, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Loads of weapons arent included, but theres a 'downloadable content' section so probably expect weapon packs to be released :(
- kirkio, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6Take coverrrrr!
- BeakerUMR, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4link to actual realease

- shakin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Great. I will be purchasing Worms tonight!
Since a few people are talking about Scorched Earth, I thought I'd mention Scorched 3D, a 3D clone of Scorched Earth. While it doesn't retain all of the charm of the original, it is a great game and it does have LAN and Internet play. It's available for Windows, Mac, and Linux (it's in the Ubuntu repositories).

- Cerebral, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Time to purchase another Points card... Anyone know of any deals out there on them?
Does it have the ability to customize your team?
It would be great if you could customize the little sayings and whatnot your team does. - strictnein, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I always preferred Scorched Earth. Something about the graphics... and those sound effects! Wowsers!
- mercano, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Obligatory Wikipedia link:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Worms_%28computer_game%29
And, perhaps more importantly:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Worms_weapons_and_tools
Though, as pointed out in the other comments, some of the more fun weapons are missing. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5Kamikazeeeeee!
- TRUEPATRIOT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2its lame its lacking alot of things that pc versions have.im dissappointed =(
- Coffeedemon, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Don't mind the absence of some of the crazy weapons as they took some of the strategy out of the game. As long as I can control what weapons appear in which rounds and limit the use of airstrikes to force players to hunt down that last worm I am happy. From what I hear this is more Worms 2 and less Armageddon and the ones afterwards... fine by me because Worms 2 was one of the greatest games I've ever owned.
Live tonight for sure. - stollio, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2super banana ftw
- joaob, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Whose down for a game of WWP while this version download?
- chris9902, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2you can't build maps you can only generate them. It gives you a code that I guess you could send to people if you find one you like.
- kingkilr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Please tell me the "map builder" is still there!
- Doghound, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yes, typically you can call blogs inaccurate if they are talking about something that is a little more suspicious: say a government conspiracy. But when it's talking about the actual release of a game that is available online, just ask any one of your friends who has XBL and check if the download is there. There, there's your proof...
If that doesn't work, read all the posts here about people who have already bought it. - Doghound, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Sweet... I guess I know what I'm doing as soon as I get back into town tomorrow!!
Judo CHOP! - empathe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@MaximegalonInfo
The 50mb limit has been raised to 150mb limit, but this wasn't the case when Worms was ported. I believe I saw some dev comments that said they had to cut a lot of stuff to get it under 50mb, but I was just lookin for specifics.
@joystik
That's what I was afraid of. Hopefully they will be cheap or free! - edrift101, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I saw that too, but tried to connect again right away and I got through. My guess is that A LOT of people bought this game.
Played 5 online games last night and had a ton of fun! Lumines, Geometry Wars and Worms are the best XBL games. - fLUx1337, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Cant afford the full game yet (well, I have 5x which is needed in my wallet, but not on a card), so for now, I've downloaded the trial...
AMAZING - they have stuck to the classic style, and it looks and feels great!
A arcade game for the whole family! :) - posure, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Worms Armageddon forever!
- edrift101, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Oh, I know what I'll be doing tonight. Worms online! Hell YEAH!
- TheMysteryCow, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I downloaded the trial, and it was a hell of a lot of fun. But is there an option to adjust resolution in the full version? I'm on a standard def TV, and everything was abysmally tiny.
- Aggort, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If the map builder is there we better be able to share maps! I know what I will be playing on Live tonight!
- allywilson, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Concrete Donkey. 'Nuff Said.
- estvir, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Remember to double tap space just before it hits them. ;)
Man, Worms rocked so hard back in the day. - Import98, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Got an e-mail from XBL Arcade team stating I won 2 500 Point codes. Guess I will spend them on this....SWEEEET! :)
And yes, the points do work. :P - moosebaloney, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Not as good at the PC, but leaps and bounds better than the Dreamcast.
- moosebaloney, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I bought Worms this morning, 6 hours before this was posted. You need to be buried (in landmines) for this comment!
- moosebaloney, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Team 17 reported that they have additional maps and sound packs that were not included. VERY disappointed by this. I miss my "scots" voices.
- staticneuron, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Brilliant! Alot of life is going to be wasted soon.
- Sparkster185, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I mark any blog that lists something as "OFFICIAL" without citing sources, or providing some proof, as inaccurate.
- DonRoberto, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm sure the missing weapons and sounds will be added via Downloadable Content, sadly.us
- jpbleuu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1worms is awesome. i'm hoping that they come out with worms armageddon at some point for the wii vc.
- moosebaloney, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0No and no, unfortunately. Hopefully we can get the mapbuilder as downloadable content.
- SenatorPenguin, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2God damn. I absolutely love Worms, but if they charge me $2 for a super sheep download that is 108kb (mysteriously the same size as the encyption key Microsoft uses...) I might even consider buying a PS3 just to spite them. I'm sick of Live selling me keys to unlock content that I already have.
- TravisLong, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Nice! I used to play this game years ago.
- sixthgear, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Downloaded it this morning. I haven't played Worms since Worms 2, but this one looks solid. It's missing a few of the more "out there" weapons (holy hand grendade) but all the basics are there, including the exploding sheep :) Playing with the 360 controller feels nice, and I am looking forward to 4 player local games. This is one of those party games that are fun to play with your buddies.
Oh, and I didn't notice a map builder, but I only had a quick look this morning. - autocrawler, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2"Holy Hand Grenade!!!!"
There is no Holy Hand grenade in the XBLA release as far as I am informed. That's why I hate it-I can play hotseat multi with my friends in Worms World Party instead, which has a *much* more expansive arsenal as well. - teljax, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0looks like im the only person in the world to have never played worms....I'll DL the XBLA demo and check it out based on the positive responses about the game on this forum.
- SyberMile, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1i bought this at 12:30 last night tryed to go on xbl "server not set up yet" still a good game
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1awesome, been waiting for this one for a while.
- orielbean, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Teljax, it is like a tank-style game ala Scorched Earth. You pick a target, aim, choose ammo, and let loose the hounds of hell. Lots and lots of dun. Scorched Earth is fun too, but this game is freakin sweet. demo it for sure.
- Shawnosaurus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1WHEN?! Ohhh... NOW! Well at least it's OFFICIAL. Worms in all its many variations is always entertaining and I'll be picking this up. I sort of wish someone had just done a good version of scorched earth instead, but oh well.
- EvilFerret, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Watered down version of an already simple game.........How lame.
- dmarques, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0You gotta love some of their comments..classic
