- Paroparo, on 10/15/2007, -11/+60A lot fewer than some months ago. The large amount of crappy games is simply due to most developers not realising the Wii was going to win this gen a year or so ago. A lot of games of all types started production, and the bad ones just got here first. Quality 3rd party titles are starting to arrive with Resident Evil: Umbrella Chronicles, No More Heroes, and Nights.
Look at the DS, this is exactly how its first year or two went. - bigbadgoat, on 10/15/2007, -25/+66How many of those games will be filed under "***** port" or "rushed" or "not worth the disc it was printed on"?
- totorototoro, on 10/15/2007, -1/+39"Mario Kart(R) Wii (name not final) from Nintendo"
I'm guessing something like..."Mario Kart, Wii" :p - inactive, on 10/15/2007, -0/+36I'm still waiting for Animal Crossing Wii.
- supremespleen, on 10/16/2007, -13/+42Turns out there are a lot of decent 3rd party games coming out.
- JDoggqx, on 10/13/2007, -3/+31I agree that the majority of Diggers would not fit in the demographic that would find those games awesome. But those types of games don't usually come out on unsuccessful systems since they require a large install base for the developers to make money back on them.
Just my $0.02, take it or leave it. - rnreekez, on 10/15/2007, -0/+27What the hell would you do in the Napoleon Dynamite game? This is gonna be worse than that E.T. adaptation featuring Neil Diamond.
- darkNiGHTS, on 10/15/2007, -0/+23I like these games better:
The Legend of Zelda(R): Phantom Hourglass from Nintendo
FRONT MISSION(R) from Square Enix, Inc.
NEED FOR SPEED PROSTREET from Electronic Arts
LEGO(R) Star Wars(TM): The Complete Saga from LucasArts
Geometry Wars(TM): Galaxies from Sierra Entertainment, Inc.
Mario Party(R) DS from Nintendo
FINAL FANTASY(R) XII: REVENANT WINGS(TM) from Square Enix, Inc.

Advance Wars(R): Days of Ruin from Nintendo

Although I agree most of the DS release list is crap. Why are they making Dr. Seuss games? Respect the man for heavens sake, he's dead? - mds40, on 10/15/2007, -0/+23damn, i was hoping to see animal crossing on that list...
- ZachSka87, on 10/15/2007, -7/+28@Bonobo

- plizard, on 10/17/2007, -1/+19***** yourself.
- santaliqueur, on 10/17/2007, -0/+16You sound like a pissy 13 year old boy whose mother didn't buy him the right kind of video game. Then you swear at her.
- directive0, on 10/13/2007, -0/+16Battalion Wars.
Thats really all I have to say. - grhomepage, on 10/14/2007, -0/+16my kids love that crap
- bjs3171, on 10/13/2007, -1/+16why would sony be hoping for an enormous release list for wii?
- celestial, on 10/13/2007, -0/+14November: Contra 4 from Konami Digital Entertainment, Inc.
- Cerebral, on 10/13/2007, -3/+15"There were only 7 truly great PS1 games..."
You lost all credibility right there. Sorry. - Cerebral, on 10/14/2007, -6/+18I wish people would just not purchase this crap.
- AwesomeAndy, on 10/14/2007, -2/+14Who cares if they buy it? It's not like anyone's forcing YOU to purchase it, and I doubt the developers making these games are going to be making the next BioShock/Half-Life/Halo/Gears/Whatever you want to play.
- inactive, on 10/15/2007, -0/+12If that ever happens, I can kiss my wife goodbye.
- Tikkimann, on 10/15/2007, -5/+17Yes. Decent(-LOOKING) 3rd party games are coming.
(We don't know if they're good just yet.) - imbetterthanu, on 10/15/2007, -0/+11No kidding. My wife became utterly addicted to that game on the Game Cube. Well, ok...so did I...but not as much as she did. She even went out and bought a Game Boy Advance so she could get to the island.
- hipnerd, on 10/14/2007, -1/+12"It frustrates me endlessly with the # of consoles I have, the Wii gets played the least, except if there are people over."
Perhaps the lesson is, gett off the couch and get some friends? - AceLy, on 10/13/2007, -0/+9Mario rocks.
- SkippyDoorknob, on 10/13/2007, -1/+10There's an ointment for that.
- SkippyDoorknob, on 10/13/2007, -1/+10You've played them all?
- bjs3171, on 10/13/2007, -2/+11congratulations?
- bjs3171, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9how about just a normal rayman game? what is it with the wii and it's almost complete lack of platformers?
- AndrewDB, on 01/10/2008, -2/+10Goonie, the rule of Quality over Quantity should of applied to your post too.
- orvl, on 10/15/2007, -0/+8ALL THAT MATTERS:
==Smash Bros.
==Mario Kart
==Mario Galaxy - Meatball01, on 10/13/2007, -0/+7I don't give a *****. Just give me Brawl.
- daridave, on 10/15/2007, -1/+8By your logic then, so far, you only need to buy ZERO games on the PlayStation3, so WTF is your point ? BTW stop the baby hate, RE:Umbrella is looking to be SWEET and FUN. It's a spin-off, but they're putting a lot of effort in there... your disrespect for good games puts you to shame, fanboy or not.
- ZigVicious, on 10/13/2007, -0/+7Need For Speed Prostate?
- eexlebots, on 10/13/2007, -0/+7Just as I kick my Advance Wars DS addiction, they bring out a sequel...hooray?
- fantasticFlan, on 10/13/2007, -0/+7I know, I tear up whenever someone releases a "fun for the whole family" game that's actually fun.
- plizard, on 10/13/2007, -6/+12god damn. good thing i got a r4
- grhomepage, on 10/13/2007, -0/+6I hear the full title is "Napoleon Dynamite: Rex Kwan Do "
- SkippyDoorknob, on 10/13/2007, -0/+610% good of a huge list results in more good games than 10% of a much smaller list of games.
- PRMapleBar, on 10/15/2007, -0/+6Sad. I was really hoping for Hello Kitty Island Adventure DS.
- TheTaoOfBill, on 10/13/2007, -1/+6Why do you think the ps2 was so hyped up at launch? Because people loved the ps1 so much more than the N64. Trust me, that wouldn't happen if there was only 7 good ps1 games.
- rubenz, on 10/14/2007, -0/+5Actually, the question mark only goes inside the quotation marks when the quoted material is a question, which in this case it isn't. Aside from that, I actually agree with both of you.
- inactive, on 10/13/2007, -0/+5four months
- merdiesel, on 10/13/2007, -0/+5Over The Hedge was a kids game that was actually pretty ***** awesome.
- ottodestruct, on 10/17/2007, -4/+9Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love the hell out of the Wii, but most of those games suck, or are just more party games. The quality to quanitity ratio on the Wii is starting to look like the PS1 early days. Seriously, did they learn nothing about the death of the GBA and television / movie franchise license games?
- radzack, on 12/02/2008, -2/+7Im royally pissed that brawl has been set back months.
- WiseWeasel, on 10/13/2007, -0/+5Yeah, the Wii really needs to come bundled with a robot opponent, so you can feel the pain of those fighting games, and finally have someone to block your swing.
I think it'll be close enough to be fun anyways... - JBCougar, on 10/14/2007, -3/+7And how many PS2 games could also be labeled as such? Great systems get a lot of ***** games, but I imagine that's not the point you were trying to make with your witty comment. 100% Free Grammar Pro Tip: The question mark goes INSIDE the quotes.
- Okari, on 10/13/2007, -0/+4I spent countless hours on that game. Never actually knew it was Domino's mascot at the time.
