There are a few more than just Mario and Zelda games that will appear on the Nintendo Revolution:
Pilotwings
Animal Crossing
Kid Icarus
Pikmin
Raid over the River [Exclusive FPS for the Rev by NIBRIS]
No End Soon [Rumored to be the exclusive FPS by Ubisoft]
Untitled Camelot RPG
Donkey Kong
Final Fantasy
Metroid
And there is definately more. - 1337geek, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2dreamcast didnt cost 200$ you fool, i know, i bought one the day it came out.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Maybe Nintendo will release on 06/06/06?!?!?
hmm... - j0dnet, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Like the DS, touch me thats a good price.
For all the alledged features aswell, that seems like a damn good price. - Dgen_X, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I hate analysts...
but I'm a firm believer in the $199 launch price - PunchMeIBleed, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i dunno about 200 price, lol xbox is gunna get owned by the revolution and the ps3 will be a great competitor. the rev is going to sell so much i swear because theres way more poor people than rich for that reason people will get the revolution and theres more people who are more CHEEP than anything else giving the revolution a better lead in the gaming consol war
- Zukunft, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Every Nintendo console has launched at $200. No surprise here.
- Abx0r, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I don't doubt Nintendo will release it at $200. It would seriously undercut Microsoft and Sony. Nintendo sales would soar through the roof just like the DS sales have. I predict the Revolution outselling both PS3 and 360. If lucky it might outsell them both combined.
- jaguarsavages, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Sigh, "Nintendo Revolution to cost $200" is extremely misleading considering this is just another guy's prediction...
- SpeedyG, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1An analyst is NOT an official statement of price.
Inaccurate headline. - cusoman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0What a lame article.
I think I'm going to start writing speculation articles on my website and attempt to Digg them. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Article: "Perennial US analyst PJ McNealy predicts that the Nintendo Revolution will hit shelves at a modest $200 price tag."
Digg Headline: "Nintendo Revolution to cost $200".
Hmm... it seems like you don't understand what the word 'predict' means. That's ok, here's the definition from Merriam-Webster Online:
"Pronunciation: pri-'dikt
Function: verb
transitive senses : to declare or indicate in advance; especially : foretell on the basis of observation, experience, or scientific reason
intransitive senses : to make a prediction"
Do you see how these are the same? They are quite different, actually. Next time please don't confuse the two, thanks. - bdolamyte3, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0To the people saying every Nintendo home c0nsole launched at $200 that's wrong, the GC was $250 at launch and I recall the N64 being the same IIRC.
- TheGeek27, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It won't be $200. It will be $100.
- Demagogue, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I got my gamecube last gen for 300......
Ive heard the rev has good 3rd party support this gen, mostly because of the ease of development for this console. - Cerberus047, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0and let me guess ralphzor you like gta 47 and tiresome old fps that have nothing new in them, only more blood. ok... have fun with that, plus nindendo is getting a lot more 3rd party support than the gc, and the n64 was my fav console ever so im looking foward big time to getting those games.....
- TuxFan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'd say Nintendo may release it for $200 or up to $300. It'd still be cheaper than the XCrap 360 or PS2+1. I'd rather have something innovative and fun than something that is just a mere upgrade of a graphics chip in current consoles.
- Mist0r_Wiggles, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yea! Game on!
- atf487, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0sparkmonkeyz: what? they can't make 68 dollars on a game that costs, at the most, 60 dollars. thats rediculous. if i had to throw out a guess, after all the costs, ms makes maybe 10 bucks on games.
i'm definitely buying a revolution, regardless of the price tag. i just hope everyone else does, too. - jpesicka2, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0analysts, that's a joke, here, i predict a morbidly obeised guy will crap himself within the next week, ther, i'm an anlyst
- stealurface, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If the revolution does indeed sell for $199, nintendo will rule the worlds entertainment.
- moisie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I've always been exclusively nintendo in the past but my last console was the N64. I've gone with them mainly because I've not been the sort of person to spend a fortune on games and have always known that in addition to loving their games, they've always had a really long playing life so are really great value. With the xbox and playstation 2 etc I gave up, they became too expensive for how much I'd play them and it became way too much about specs rather than gaming. The revolution has me interested, I'm thinking of getting one. I'm not even remotely interested in a ps3 or xbox 360. Nintendo may not be able to take away the xbox and ps3 market but they'll get some and they'll also get a lot of people like me.
- JosephC, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I won't buy any console over ~$200 so I was worried that any new console was going to be out of reach for me. But this is a huge relief for me and I apploud Nintendo.
- Moses, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The article mentioned Xbox 360 shortages. The funny thing is, there are a whole bunch at the costco in Spokane, WA.
I was thinking about buying one to sell on ebay. - heartless_, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0God damn that site sucks...
- thepandoras, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If it's that cheap, I might just get multiple systems.
- doctornkul, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"I got my gamecube last gen for 300......"
Then you got ripped off. I'm assuming you meant $300 not 300 pesos or something like that - fuzzboxer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Big surprise. Every Nintendo console has cost $200.
- ThinkBox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Neat, wow, ok, i dgg, i digg... but im kinda tired of "news" coming out every 2 weeks that really doesnt say anything new at all... just about price points that are by analysts... I mean, wow... I could almost... ALMOST care less.... but right now, the next bit of news on the Rev better not be about its price...
- cvh™, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"The article mentioned Xbox 360 shortages." - Moses
In my opinion that is the sneaky guys at Microsoft that are spreading that information. If people hear that there is an Xbox 360 shortage they will buy one now instead of waiting for the price to drop. - ThinkBox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0They have strong 3rd party on this from what i hear - also, you have an Underworld icon... so i copletely discredit all you say
- nugget, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'll be buying one. I don't think that consoles should do more than play games, and should be cheap. Espicially the way that they like to rotate the consoles out of production after 3 years. My computer costed me around 500 and it will be around for quite a while, at least 5 years, maybe longer and that can do what a xbox360 can do plus more for only a hundred more. So when the consoles take 5 to 6 years to become obsolete then I will spend 300-500 dollars on one. Until then when microsoft wants to make a new one every 3 years I will be paying for the nintendo one where it costs a bit less.
- Salmonax, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Analyst predicitions aren't news. They're paid to be windbags.
- kimzor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0$200 would be a great price but what will the games be like? I mean it's great having a cheap console but it's no use without decent games. :)
- jimmyM, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i think we should label stories like this "inaccurate" and bury them. this isnt news, this is some jerkass making up crap.
- number8888, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0It's all speculation folks. I wouldn't bet on anything unless it's news from Nintendo.
I do agree that 200 is a GREAT price though. - grislygus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Reported as inaccurate. It's just more conjecture.
I'll digg an official statement, but not some 'expert' telling us what he thinks it'll cost. No digg. - gamerzworld, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Reported inaccurate due to this is just speculation.
You're guess is just as good as mine. - Yanks2435, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0darkpulsaromega:
You forgot the best of all, Super Smash Bros 3 as a launch title - prgrmmr736, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If the console launches at the $200 dollar price point then I would definitely pick one up.
- L0phtpDK, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yea... there are definitely no facts to this 'analyst'... but I am willing to bet that he is right... based on pure speculation.
Oh yea, you guys should read the comments on that board, pure gold:
"-Mario stuff( I've got all 120 Stars in M64...my girlfriend gave me congratulations HEAD afterward!)" - gilpdawg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Are they gonna get EA to do sports games, or is EA gonna sell out and be Sony-MS exclusive.
- Malik112099, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i hate all this 360 shortage talk...people are too lazy to go get one that is probably at their local walmart or target and then cry wolf and the media eats it up
- fuzzboxer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"To the people saying every Nintendo home c0nsole launched at $200 that's wrong, the GC was $250 at launch and I recall the N64 being the same IIRC."
Wrong Wrong Wrong. The GCN was $199 at launch, as well as the N64, the SNES and NES. Nintendo originally sold the N64 in Japan and UK at $249, but cut their price when the Playstation came out. They offered a $50 rebate to those people who bought at $249. If you bought your console in the USA at more than $199 you were ripped off. - GodPants, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I don't care what it costs frankly. I won't buy it until the software for it is there and with lousy 3rd party support its nothing but Mario for the first twelve months. I have a 360 and will pop the extra $200 to get the Ps3 at 4 bills.
Nintendo is still an afterthought for me this generation until I see that controller first hand. - Bluezdood, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I already decided months ago that I was going to bypass the 360 and PS3 for the Revolution. If I'm going to spend 600 bucks on something, it's going to be parts for my gaming PC, not a stupid console that overheats. The Revolution has some very promising features and with that price point, I'm completely sold.
- freddybeanbag, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'd instantly buy one if the price were $179.
(Or lower... maybe.) - weiran, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I'd buy one at $200, if it cost £130 in the UK...
- Kashey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Me are goink to get one of thoze!:)
- Superfito, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0This is analyst speculation. Not a fact as your title states....
