- archanoid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"I really hate the Metroid Prime series. The great control of the REAL metroid series made the game. The fps genre does not fit with Metorid...damnit. Maybe awe inspiring revolution will revive the series."
I must humbly disagree. What was this "great control" of the original metroid? It was a side scroller just like a bazillion other games of that age. What made metroid was the story, the *immersion*, and the puzzles. Metroid Prime has all these things as well. I usually quite enjoy playing them. But it does get tedious during the parts that are basically just gun fights. Otherwise, it's another well made series. I do hope, however, that the Revolution brings additional "revolutionary" mechanics into it. - Tupper, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0digg effect
- DevilsRejection, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0haha the site is back!
front page woo woo - atf487, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0gah, i just look at the revo stuff and it goes down.
- ahhell, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The Rev looks awesome....not real surea bout the weird door covering the ports.
I'm buying Zelda for sure....looks great. - enforcerpsu, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Nice find on the photos directory. A lot of cool stuff in there!
- anamanaman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I just can't wait for Nintendogs Revolution. Woohoo
- gwax, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Nintendo just get things right. They will do so well in this console war, 50% will buy a PS3, 50% will buy a 360, but everyone will have one of these on the side."
Yeah, I know I'm getting a 360 as soon as it has some better games and I'll get a revolution as soon as it comes out but I will never buy a PS3, not after all the DRM crap Sony's been pulling. - DevilsRejection, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0well he uses bluehost.com which should be 100% stable
we will see! - GoNintendo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hey guys, sorry about the site going down. Our host's homepage isn't even coming up. Having a little trouble right now, but hopefully they will have everything sorted out soon. Hang tight.
- peregrine, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Don't worry about it!! ^^^
Old stuff put into a new format. The only thing new is that they are going to have more un-released screenshots next month, and the new rev angle (which I think may be CG but thats me).

As far as I know that is NOT true. Best Buy got it all wrong. Release is still April. - andywirtanen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Mirror:
http://onnintendo.com/Index.aspx?page=1&post=28&year=2006&month=2 - SuperSunny, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I can't wait till this releases! It's a shame how dull and informed some people are. Zelda is coming out around April. Not delayed and proved to be false.
Atleast I'm not jumping into the people's bandwagon. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Site is fine for me, mirror would be appreciated as the next hour will be busy.
Is this even legal? - dbpigeon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"This site has exceeded its CPU Quota"
NOOO!!! Everybody check your browser's caches. - vaylor, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Site down. Mirror?
- mr.gates, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I dunno about april, I mean two months till april, and nintendo still hasn't given a release date for Twilight princess. Personaly I think they should give twilight princess out for free with the Revolution.
Would sell ALOT of units, think about it, either buy twilight princess for 60$ or spend another 140$ and get the game ALONG with the Revolution. - Jasruler, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Jozer99 you're an idiot.

is that a dude? (the blonde one) - tito13kfm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Disregard my previous comment. I guess I should have RTFA. The iQue seems to be a N64 on a chip shoved inside a controller.
- wudanbal, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Saw it before the server met its quota, awesom3!
- donsherio, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0aww poop... if only it was the digg effect. DID ANYONE SAVE THE FILES?!
- kkaabboomm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0yeah, for those who don't know:
the ique is basically a n64 for china
and the gamecube controller ports on the top are just those, GC controller ports, and a mem card port too i believe. they are hidden by a very streamlined door. nintendo is putting their money where their mouth is - reggie just stated that revolution games cannot use the GC controllers, those ports are there for backwards compatability ONLY - aka for use on gc games, and prolly 64, snes, and nes games too. don't get your panties in a wad ThisGeek - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"It doesn't look half as sexy and streamlined as it once did, those controller ports on the top just don't look right, never mind the fact that they mean the console is going to rely on GC style controllers, rather than handle most games with the remote control and nunchucker, which surely is going to be the greatest improvement in gaming in years.
The Rev controller is a gamecube controller, minus a few buttons, and the right joystick replaced with a big motion sense joystick, it will work. These controller ports show that Nintendo can't put it's money where it's mouth is, which is simply disapointing."
Last I heard they were planning backwards compatibility with the Gamecube. To do that they'd need to have gamecube controllers work for it. - lordTalus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0@archanoid: I basically hate the first person view. Who cares a bout puzzles when you can't see anything and half the puzzle is just a pixel hunt. I would like the Prime series if they ditched first person and swicthed to the current Zelda control scheme.
- Meshyf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Best digg ever
- z.unit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0the iQue was designed for china i believe, first nintendo console to be officially released there (piracy ++)
- rolosworld, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0anyone with a .zip link of the scans? the site goes on and off
- AverageJoe, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The Digg Effect has officially set in... dugg btw
- sparkmonkeyz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0omg omg omg, i takled to a nintendo rep and he said there wouldnt be any revolution features for twilight, guess he was wrong, with the picture of link holding the Revo controller
- justinfrench, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Interesting stuff. I hope they can pull it off....
- rolosworld, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0@dbpigeon, thanks a LOT!!!!!! :-D

I was contacted by Future Publishing Limited, the team directly responsible for Nintendo: Official Magazine (UK) politely asking us to take down our scans. I always said if there were ever any problem I would be happy to comply. Thanks to Future Publishing Limited for being so understanding. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0HOW ARE MAGAZINE SCANS LEGAL!??!?!
- baltakatei, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Images down... No!!!!!
- tito13kfm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0iQue looks like to me, a controller with a big round thing in the center, possibly that is where you will load your gamecube games into? I was really wondering how they were going to get a slot loading DVD drive to load the smaller Gamecube games.
- archanoid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0lordtalus...I am not particularly fond of first person either. I actually enjoy the camera angles you get when in morph ball mode a lot more. In fact, I often find just rolling around an area can show you things you'd otherwise have a very difficult time noticing. It's a shame you can use scan visor in ball mode. I'm not familiar with Zelda's controls.
I enjoy the puzzles a lot more than the fights. (Actually, I've hardly played MP. I'm currently ~50% through MP2.) - archanoid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0make that: "can't use scan visor in ball mode"
