- olddirtycr, on 10/12/2007, -7/+46I've beat normal ninja gaiden 3 times, hurricane pack 2 times, Ninja Gaiden Black 2 times. The game is still fresh enough I could play black again with no troubles. This is coming from a person who usually looses interests in games very quick and usually never replays a game. Besides, this game is not a port. It's a complete remake following the same story with tons of additional features, weapons, Rachel's storyline.
With that said I played the demo earlier today and it is kickass. When you first start playing everything is very familiar, the first level is the exact same. This is fine though, because it was still as fun as ever.
I hooked up my xbox to the TV and did a quick comparison. I was very surprised by how much better it looked. In fact the difference is just amazing. You can see much farther, everything is crisp and clear, the background is amazingly detailed. I can't wait till this comes out to buy!
P.S. Playing as Rachel is pretty cool, the only weapon they gave you for her in the demo was the warhammer but you could tell she wasn't just Ryu with a different model. - SfOwnsLa, on 10/12/2007, -7/+38Holy ***** I just played the first 10 minutes of NGS and I totally jizzed myself. 1080p @ 60fps is the *****. well in the next 6-8 months, Rachet and Clank, Lair, Killzone 2, Warhawk, and Heavenly Sword will be released. Please tell me what's wrong with warhawk? I really want to know, because to me, it looks like a massive, massive multiplayer version of StarFox, which will be completely and totally awesome.
Want some Killer Aps? Lair and Heavenly Sword will be sure to please. Want something a little more in the Nintendo Style? Ratchet and Clank coming at you. You fanboys are sad. There are plenty of "killer aps" headed to the PS3, very soon. In the mean time, I'll get back to my incredible racing sim of F1 world championship, and frag a few souls on Resistance. Not to mention the incredible fighting games available for the console.

You really have to invest some time in practice, because it can be a mean, mean game. Best game in a loooooong time.

This is the only game exclusive to the xbox that ever interested me, unfortunately that didn't merit buying the console so I missed out on it. Ninja Gaiden always seemed like a game better suited to a Sony console, the ps2 had a ton of great 3rd person action/adventure games (devil may cry, god of war, shinobi, etc) whereas the xbox seemed geared towards people that play Halo and sports games. This is a step in the right direction for ps3, it desparately needs games like this to get people interested - roxya, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11I never had an xbox to play the other Ninja Gaiden games, but I got the Sigma demo from JP PSN last night... all I can say is thanks for TN for bringing it to the PS3. This game is gorgeous and plays amazingly well.

Now I know, you like to think that theres gonna be all these killer games out for all of your other favorite 1337 consoles, but CLEARLY that is NOT the case.
As you can see, the PS3 has a fabulous lineup due out both before and after Halo 3 and Mario Galaxy.
It's obvious you're a fanboy, anyone else who clearly does not have a bias can appreciate that regardless of the cost, the PS3 is a great piece of technology and has more potential to do many more great things than either the x360 or the wii. It is an extremely competitive console, and will remain so for quite some time. And clearly, it isn't a mistake of the system for anyone who buys it. I am happy with my console, I enjoy the currently released games for it, and I and looking forward to the many great games to come out for it, (literally) Millions of people will agree, to the tune of about 3 Million, give or take the random ebay sellers.
Please fanboy, go away, your opinions, although they are entertaining in the sense that they are laughable, are not well recieved here.

1. Ninja Gaiden Black never gets old. Never.
2. NGB isn't a hack and slash game - it's very technical and has deep combat mechanics.
My roommate and I have beaten Ninja Gaiden a combined 10-15 times already, and we still both play the game regularly. The game supports so many different fighting styles with all its weapons and moves that it's hard for me to find even a single area in the game that feels stale yet. - JimmyJJWalker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6This game is sickly cool, I loved the previous versions on Xbox, but this blows them out of the water. The beautiful graphics and amazing speed of battle is simply phenominal! Having played every previous version I was very happy to see every aspect of the game improved. Something you seldom see with full blown game sequels, much less enhanced ports. Great work Team Ninja :)

- apoc06, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4honestly, im not sure if i see firmware hacks coming for the ps3 anytime soon. alot of the legit "homebrew" coders are actually using linux to develop their homebrew. sony allowing linux to be installed easily on the ps3 cut the number of "hackers" looking for exploits to use in porting linux to the box in half.

The only problem is I could see it getting old, but if you enjoy good ol' hack 'n slash action and want a nice graphical update check out the demo (heck, check out the demo if you're solely a graphics whore).

It's not that all our heads are up Master Chief's ass. I'm just pissed off Sony put their product out of my reach. By the time I can afford to upgrade to 1080p from 720p AND buy a PS3 this generation of gaming will likely be over. By then I will have forgotten about all the great titles on PS3 I missed.

The PS3 is indeed a huge mistake, your "fabolous linup" is about as as fabalous as a useless $600 Blueray player that happens to play visually decent/impressive yet content void video games (sorry for the lack of comparative imagery, but I think the idea of such a product is bad enough). Now I'm not seeing eye to eye with you, but I can agree on one thing, technologically wise, the PS3 is superior to the Wii and the 360 (possibly put togather). But the thing is, technology does not make a console. If you take a look at into the history of consoles, you'll see that the technologically inferior console with the better games ALWAYS wins. Playstation 1 vs. N64, PS2 vs. Xbox etc. Also, consider the fate of the 3D0 and other extremly expensive consoles...they all failed. Look, I don't give a ***** if you think I'm a fanboy, but I'm just curiuos as to why. Have I even once used the word L337? My opinion on the PS3 is based on the PS3, not on my own personal decision to purcahse another console(s). It's fine if you don't agree with me but the whole fanboy angle is getting lame.

By that time, Halo 3, Halo wars, Mario for Wii, etc. will all be out; the situation will be totally different with the Wii and the 360 still having an advantage. Second of all, I want to know why you think I'm a fanboy. Which system(s) do I own? Listen einstein, bashing the PS3 isnt the same thing as saying the 360 or the wii are "teh b3st".
