- cor315, on 11/05/2009, -14/+73gah I just want to use a ***** controller
- riskybeats, on 11/05/2009, -3/+46The only way I will play this game is if they add a motion sensor for my balls so I can pelvic thrust arrows into Ganon's face.
- rocknog, on 11/05/2009, -4/+43So basically, what Miyamoto is saying here is that the next Zelda game will give us everything we were hoping for from the last Zelda game. 'Bout ***** time. I mean, I loved Twilight Princess, and to the extent that they were utilized, I feel the Wii controls really added to the experience, but it just wasn't as immersive as we had been hoping for, and it was largely due to the unresponsive waggle-sword. Using the sensor bar for aiming was great, obviously, and I have no complaints about that - it's the next best thing to a mouse, in my opinion, in terms of precision, and miles above using the damn c-stick. But if anyone's played the swordfighting game from Wii Sports Resort, that's what we were friggin' expecting.
Well, whatever - I'm not really too bitter about the Wii (the main complaint I hear is not enough good new games released, and I don't buy games often enough for it to affect me - I still have a decent-sized backlog), it's just I keep seeing these situations where they're just now doing something they should've been doing two years ago when it was released. - PostalPenguin, on 11/05/2009, -4/+35Pretty soon the add-ons for the Wiimote are going to have more processing power than the Wii itself.
- erichw1504, on 11/05/2009, -14/+42Yankees suck.
- mau64, on 11/05/2009, -5/+32Yeah I can't either, but I almost wish they would wait until they get the game in HD... I would love to see a game like Zelda in HD.
- felman87, on 11/05/2009, -2/+20I wonder if I'll get the boomerang or the hookshot first. Of course, I'll end up fighting Ganon in the end, do I need spoiler tags for something that common knowledge?
- gcnaddict, on 11/05/2009, -1/+19Just strap the wiimote to your dick. I'm sure the wiimote is longer than what you have down there anyway.
- osukwm, on 11/05/2009, -1/+18That comment would make sense, except in the last game you turn into a wolf and explore the dark world, and in the game before that you sail a ship and explore a vast ocean, and the game before that you travel through time to save the future.... yeah, actually that doesn't sound like replaying the same game at all. If you mean they all include dungeon puzzles and item-based world progression, and that bothers you for some reason, don't play Zelda.
- blofeld9999, on 11/05/2009, -0/+15And probably a fair bit harder as well.
- incubusbeatsall, on 11/05/2009, -3/+18I don't think waggle was the main problem. There were tons and tons of other problems with TP and PH. For example, doing that annoying fetch quest before the first couple of dungeons was incredibly repetitive. The environments felt extremely dead. I felt like I was playing Zelda 64 with updated textures (not EXACTLY, but to an extent).
Lastly, the game was far too easy. I don't want an impossible challenge, but I want it to either be clever to where I actually have to think of a solution to a puzzle, or difficult as in skillful combat.
Fulfill my wishes Nintendo! - themastersb, on 11/05/2009, -0/+15Super Wii would be an awesome name.
- Koushiro, on 11/05/2009, -0/+14I'd rather worry about how a game plays and the quality of the story and events going on in said game then it being in HD.
- UselessTrivia, on 11/05/2009, -0/+1420 bucks says they name it the "Super Wii"
- osukwm, on 11/05/2009, -0/+12You mean like the traditional-style Mario game that's coming out in 10 days? :P
- cesclaveria, on 11/05/2009, -0/+12boomerang first usually.
so you can reach new places later on the game with the [hook||claw]shot - CSFFlame, on 11/05/2009, -0/+11This is funnier if you know about the SNES processors vs the ones on some of the SNES carts.
- SpeedSteamBoat, on 11/05/2009, -0/+11Believe it or not, the Wii is actually coming up on its third birthday in less than a month.
- osukwm, on 11/05/2009, -6/+16Other companies do make consoles for fat people, you know.
- bduddy, on 11/05/2009, -2/+12You know the entire point of the MotionPlus is that it is 1:1, right?
- clouds31, on 11/05/2009, -1/+11This comment is alway relevant.
- Takfam, on 11/05/2009, -0/+10What are the odds they package it? Just charge $60 and package the MotionPlus with the $50 game. Cut the customers a break. It's not like MotionPlus is selling like hotcakes otherwise.
- fishbeef33, on 11/05/2009, -2/+12I'm guessing that the Wii Motion Plus will be used primarily for the special attacks, like the ones you learned in Twilight Princess. Personally I had no problem with the sword swinging of the original, but I agree that it would be nice if they included a GameCube controller option.
The one thing I'm looking for in the new Zelda game? Actual goddamn orchestra music. Please stop this MIDI crap. - NBurg, on 11/05/2009, -0/+9Metroid and Mario (true mario) games are not screwed over? I know lots and lots of people who love those games too
- gcnaddict, on 11/05/2009, -1/+10Dugg for truth. Buried for irrelevance.
- danwallace, on 11/05/2009, -1/+10I love how playing Nintendo suddenly has people convinced that they're healthy.
- atchon, on 11/05/2009, -1/+9Even if Zelda is incredibly repetitive I find it incredibly fun.
- venom8599, on 11/05/2009, -2/+10...Mets suck, Knicks suck, Krypton sucks.
- caramelzappa, on 11/05/2009, -3/+11But having to spend $20 on another extra accessory that should have been included in the original wiimote is a feature!
I'm much more interested in when they're finally going to finish Pikmin 3, if they ever do. - dugbay, on 11/05/2009, -0/+7The next Zelda after this will be HD. With the wiiHD.
- fishbeef33, on 11/05/2009, -1/+8Tell me with a straight face that Super Mario Galaxy wasn't a "real game." Go ahead, I dare you.
- SketchaMPM, on 11/05/2009, -1/+8The main Mario series hasn't fumbled yet, neither has Metroid.
- YagLana, on 11/05/2009, -1/+7http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/a/a5 ...
- Elranzer, on 11/06/2009, -0/+6Zelda is not a FPS
- furatail, on 11/05/2009, -0/+6If I am going to be given the ability to swing a sword as I please, I very much hope I am rewarded for choosing the most logical attacks. More damage if I jab a throat area than say a foot. However, the ai better be smart enough to anticipate where I may attack. It should block open body part that may cause it some real damage.
If wii cannot do that than get rid of all the gimmicky waving the controller crap and just tell me which button to press. - MacHarborGuy, on 11/05/2009, -1/+7unless Zelda includes the MotionPlus as a pack in, and if you already have the MP you could buy a $40 copy of Zelda, which is probably what they will do.
PLUS, the MotionPlus included with Zelda will have a gold Triforce on it. :) - InfiniteNothing, on 11/06/2009, -0/+5$60 is what everyone else charges for games these days anyways
- ttam, on 11/05/2009, -1/+6Where the hell is Prince of Persia with motion plus?
- NeoTechni, on 11/06/2009, -1/+6480p is not HD, it's ED. Anything 720p or higher higher is actually HD.
- ninjagoron, on 11/05/2009, -0/+5ARRRGGGG WALL OF TEXT
- fishbeef33, on 11/05/2009, -1/+6Very impressive. Now be so good as to explain why. Do motion controls automatically make *any* game unqualified as a real game to you?
- Coffeedemon, on 11/05/2009, -0/+5It doesn't have to be a super graphics extravaganza but it would be nice to use a system's horsepower to flesh out the environments more. Maybe massive scale (Link in comparison to the enemies and buildings/environment), extra draw distances, more interactive environments and realistic physics.
- rocknog, on 11/05/2009, -2/+6It depends on the game. I would never, say, want to play Metroid Prime 3 with a regular controller - hell, I had basically avoided the Metroid Prime series until 3 because I can't ***** stand to use a regular controller for FPS games (thank God they released that Wii edition).
- KSUdesigner, on 11/05/2009, -1/+5Generally speaking I agree with you, but with Zelda it's pretty much been the same thing for two decades. Zelda is the one game that I would argue actually needs to get into HD.
- doctorgrim, on 11/05/2009, -2/+6The Wii should have been able to do this form the beginning like the advertisements claimed. I'm not paying for anymore controllers and therefore no more Zelda games.
- insanekoz, on 11/06/2009, -0/+3Funniest mental image of the day.
- Elranzer, on 11/06/2009, -0/+3Every other Zelda game involves the struggle between Ganon, Zelda and the Triforce. Twilight Princess dealt with this, as did Wind Waker, but Phantom Hourglass, The Minish Cap and possibly Spirit Tracks did not deal with Ganon.
So perhaps since this is the second Wii Zelda, it will have a side storyline and not revisit the tale of Ganon/Zelda/Triforce again (the titular "legend" of the series). But since the last three games (albeit, portables) did not have Ganon, this one may have Ganon. - doshindude, on 11/06/2009, -0/+3Zelda was never on the 3DO, it was the CD-i
Learn your gaming history. - KSUdesigner, on 11/05/2009, -0/+3That's because TP was originally developed for the Gamecube and ported to the Wii. It wasn't developed specifically for the Wii.
- Carrot1991, on 11/06/2009, -2/+5You're missing out on a Zelda game because you don't want motionplus?
Epitome of retardation. -
