- dillonish, on 10/12/2007, -7/+34Wii Music... maybe we can make a Wii Band with other people online, record songs and share them with the world? I've been aching to get some Wii drumming on.
- arenas46, on 10/12/2007, -0/+22and you could have played all those gc games on the wii, too :[
- adml_shake, on 10/12/2007, -1/+19Where the hell is my star wars game?!
- bebop717, on 10/12/2007, -0/+14Kirby ***** rocks!
- seanthebond, on 10/12/2007, -1/+15Matt is buddy-buddy with Nintendo and one of the best gaming reporters out there, mainly because he breaks everything first.
- brotherfranciz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12Wow, that article was a bit on the skimpy side... I was hoping for some info on the Wii Music and Wii Health games...
- themaestro8, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11Kirby!!!!
Holy *****, now I HAVE to get a Wii. I love that little guy. - negativefx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9good luck finding one
- krazykor, on 10/12/2007, -3/+122007: Wii Health is released.
2009: Nintendo brokers a deal with schools nationwide and has dodgeball replaced with Wii Health in every gym class. Fat kids rejoice.
2010: Sony executives cry themselves to sleep.
Wait, scratch that last one. They already do that. - ShadowMarth, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Bah. I'd digg myself down for that if I could. Apologies.
- Jwoey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7um
i'll give you $250 for the 43 games and gamecube.. hell yea i will. - cam2009, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6the wii is great and everything, but wii sports isn't worth 43 gamecube games.
- Vironex, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Did you even RTFA?
- Zippo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Hells yeah! Don't mess with the Pink Wonder, bitches!
- BlueSoySauce, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Wii Fitness would be a better title but I don't see Nintendo naming it that for some reason.
Wii Health is gonna be so amazing btw. I wonder what it's gonna be like. - Jesty, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Why The Hell Do People Type Like This, Didn't They Pass The First Grade?
- BevansDesign, on 10/12/2007, -7/+10This is just some guy at IGN saying what a lot of people already assumed. There's no new info here. There's not even any ACTUAL info here.
- EochaidRiata, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Health Pack has already been confirmed directly from Nintendo.
http://wii.nintendo.com/iwata_asks_vol4_p1.jsp
"# The "Health Pack" is the working title for a future release for Wii, announced by Shigeru Miyamoto at a conference held in mid-September. He described it as a way to help get families exercising together."
Music is no surprise, we have seen Miyamoto doing his conductor thing since the earliest videos. - 1Bit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3"The title is set for release on Nintendo's new system this year, along with Kirby, for that matter."
- crazyman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I love my Wii. Don't get me wrong. But nintendo needs to get off their ass and not only come out with an innovative system, but a brand new game that gets people excited. Somethign with both good multiplayer, single player, and online support.
- relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -0/+2"Wii Fitness" has a better ring to it than Wii Health, I think. Wii Music sounds cool, though I hope Nintendo decides to take more of a wide-open direction with the software's possibilities like Apple did with its Garageband suite, and designs it as more of a music production simulator than a game with outlined objectives.. though something akin to Guitar Hero would be fun on the side.
Sports, Music, Health... what next? I say we get some Brain Age action on the Wii now! - EtherGnat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"Also, Donkey Konga was good, but it's ***** retarded to make it into a racing game."
I don't know, Donkey Konga Jungle Beat was a pretty entertaining platformer (for awhile, at least). Pounding away on the bongos to control something is an experience, and it's even more fun with a crowd. I wouldn't want every racing game to be controlled with the Bongos, but one might be quite fun.
Incidentally it occurs to me an updated version of Track & Field with the bongos might be a lot of fun. - dngermouse, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Why is it that the before the release of the wii it was being hyped so much that there would be SO much third-party support? and now that its out this "support" has suddenly vanished? And we are still stuck with the same games with new "innovative" ways to play. The zelda-mario-metroid combo is gonna get old. The release list for this years wii games have no original third party support. Just run-down ports of games readily out for other consoles. Don't even try to say the usual EA games because thats just EA penny pinching its games to make more money and just throwing on hand waving "gestures". I own a wii because i was promised great software....i don't want weight loss programs i want games. Until then I'll be playing my 360 with Tom Clancy games on a regular basis.
- ThwompBlock, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2NiGHTS on the Wii...
It's a nice dream. - bpapa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Man, Donkey Kong is always Nintendo's little guinea pig. Donkey Konga, Jungle Beat, King of Swing, now Konga Blast... he's always getting put into these offbeat titles.
- johnhummel, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3I'd be curious to see if they're going to have a microphone attachment - would make Kareoke pretty cool.
- theamazingboo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Whoa, Bongo blast sounds pretty interesting. We haven't seen characters like Funky, Dixie and such for a few years.
New Kirby too, nice. - seanthebond, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1He said he'll get to those in another blog post. Just keep up to date on his RSS feed, he tends to get the good info first.
- rlg420, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I wasn't really looking to buy a Wii, but now that Wii Health is coming out I am going to camp out until I get one. Woohoo!
- ThwompBlock, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wii Health.
...
Sure, why not.
Wii Music looked pretty cool... if they incorporate a Rhythm Tengoku-ish drum simulator, that'd make my day as well as guarantee my purchase. - Bonez, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1*crosses fingers, and hopes for a new kirby's dream course*
Kirby's dream course IMHO is one of the best snes games and also one of the best kirby games to be released. - Jarasmen, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Come on, some third-party games now, please...
- burndive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@boomqweeshaa (whose comment somehow appears below me now)
$10 virtual console download: Mario Kart 64 - cracell, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Game store trade-ins rip you off. Use eBay.
More work yes, but lots more cash. - Zippo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Dude, Kirby is not fluffy... he's more marshmallow-y... rubbery, perhaps.
Either way, he rocks my socks. - AmazingAndrex, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Still no Kid Icarus or NiGHTS... *Sigh*
- Ironman11, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Nintendo is not going to make a new game for what is now pretty much a dead system. They are completely concentrated on the Wii in the home console market.
- TheBlackNinja, on 10/12/2007, -4/+4Agreed, I still want to know what else besides being a conductor and drummer.
Also, Donkey Konga was good, but it's ***** retarded to make it into a racing game. - Zero2aHero, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1If I was a kid asking my parents for a new game, I'd be ***** embarassed to ask for a game called "Wii Health." That sounds like a very uncomfortable doctors visit.
- rpgguy1o1, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0mario kart 64 just came out on virtual console, feel free to toss it out heh
- boomqweeshaa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Still no mario kart? I can't give up the n64 yet
- mywhitenoise, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1i'll give you $270.
Dude, you are a retard, those games alone would sell for way more than that. And on top of that, you're only asking for $250, so youre going to still have to pay for tax and another game. - Nymo, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Am I The Only One Who Really Doesn't Like The Fact That 'Bongo Blast' Is Now For The Wii?
That Promised A Good Use For The Bongos, And Now I Have To Wait Even Longer To Get A Wii And Play It, Which May Not Use The Bongos!
really, Nintendo Should Have Marketed This For The Cube Owners And Donkey Konga Owners (4 bongos here just sitting around now) That Is Also Playable On The Wii, Since It's Backwards Compatable..
-sigh- - kilodelta, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1yay! first party nintendo wii games!
they'll for sure score more than a 5.0 on gaming sites. - GeorgeTuk, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0You have to give third party devs time to sign up and then get hold of the kit, then they have to come up with a good idea. Thats why for the time being (around 6 months at least) there will just be ports of other games.
Just needs time. - seanthebond, on 10/12/2007, -6/+3Wii Sex? Common, you know you'd be interested.
- psylence, on 10/12/2007, -5/+1sean: Obviously it is difficult for him to post more than 2 paragraphs with his balls in your mouth, maybe let up just a bit so he can make a post worth half a *****.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -8/+3kirby is awsome but BevansDesign is right.
- gcnaddict, on 10/12/2007, -11/+6Why did people digg dillonish down? He proposed a really cool idea.
- Chigaimasu, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1I'm all for new Wii games, but this "article" didn't even mention everyone's favorite pink fluffball.
