Yeah, but it's 30 frames per second, interlaced, whereas on a PC it's 1920x1200 progressive.

I agree 100%, that is one of the main reasons I didn't join in on the "360" rush. - rm999, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1you guys who claim unreal tournament 2004 doesn't have good game play perplex me - it has, by far, the most diverse game styles with the possible exception of ut99. It almost literally has something for everyone. Like deathmatch? there are at least 5 different game styles to meet your needs. Like vehicles? even more... There are 1000s of maps out there that people have made, many of them a lot of fun and beautiful. It's just sad that it doesn't have more online players. I don't get how crappy or old games have more people playing it.

I'm not even really sure what separates Epic's new engine from current generation engines. Normal, specular and diffuse maps, are all features that have become pretty commonplace.
Infact, the only reason these screens look exceptionally good is because the texture resolution is incredibly high and they're making use of bloom.
But neither high resolution textures or post processing effects are new.

and that's assuming you didn't have to go on ebay and pay another $1000+ for your 360! so that $3000 pc (which can do *a hell* of a lot more than your xbox) isn't starting to look that bad, huh?

are you kidding?! UT2004 has been the most diverse FPS bar none. it is so flexible it's not even funny. it has a ton of different gameplay modes AND you get to download even more... on top of that, you even have the ability to make YOUR OWN if you want. own character skins, weapons, maps, total conversions... can't say that about halo 1, 2, 3 etc. gameplay-wise it is a lot more fun than quake 4 and doom 3 which is a damn shame for id. their games look great but just get boring after a while. - rm999, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1i still play ut2k4 everyday - really looking forward to this...

okay the only ONLY reason to get a 360 over a pc (FOR THIS GAME, OR ANY FPS GAME) is if you dont have the money to get a pc.

I guess if you don't care for good controls (who plays FPS w/ a controller?) and want ***** graphics, grab yourself a $1k Xbox 360 and a $5k TV like the other guy said and have at it. But then again there we're talking about two characters in a ring being compared to half a dozen or so characters in a detailed environment.

Unereal script (custom c++) is also so friendly to code in compaired to Quake or Halflife and while the editor is a bear to learn it can do anything.
I can't wait to get my hands on it and tear its code apart. Valve and Id try to control what we can create on our own but Unreal lets us go to town. I know this from experience.

Regardless, I love this series anyway. - James435, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0 I have a great HDTV in my room that is bigger than any of your pc monitors, PlayStation 3 will be better than any of your pc's, and it will have a a keyboard and a mouse so the way i see it, i will have just as good of an experience if not better. My HDTV was $800 and best buy had 2 of them for $400(comes with surround sound). The PS3 is about $300 so i think in my case it is better then have a pc that can also get ***** up from viruses and always has to be upgraded.
