- Gizza, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9Silent 2 has definitely been the best one. It was scary as hell to play by yourself in the middle of the night, plus it had better puzzles than 3 and 4 have had. Hopefully 5 will be awesome.
- DBiz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9Silent Hill 1 is still creepy as all hell, even with the advancements in technology we've had. I still believe Silent Hill 2 to be one of the most visually impressive games for the PS2, and 3 has one scene which... gave me shivers. The Room (4), eh.
I love the Silent Hill series, and whether it's on PS3 or 360 it's going to raise the bar in videogame atmosphere again. Out of any other game, I think the Silent Hill series creates the greatest scare and chill factor with a very, very impressive soundtrack. These games have always given me goosebumps. Sure, Resident Evil is a great action series, but few games can create a lurking fear that gets under your skin more so than SIlent Hill.

They just threw the name on it like half way through development. I'm hoping 5 will actually be designed from the start as Silent Hill. In my opinion, 5 needs to be more along the lines of 1-3 in order for the series to redeem itself from its last outing.

Silent Hill 3 (the only SH games I have played on PC) is one of my top horror games of all times (the other being Undying and one Asylum 'level' from Thief 3 :P).

- Rizno, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1In my opinion SH and SH2 both had excellent story's. SH3 was also great; just not as. SH4.. well i never got into it but they really pulled away from the first three. But saying that; it would've been a decent stand-alone title. It had it's good parts.
I'm hoping SH5 will bring back the atmosphere of the original Silent Hill. But i've heard they're going to make a big change on location(s). No more hospital!
Who really cares if it comes out for Xbox 360, it's pretty much a fact it'll be on PS3. But what i care about is a PC launch. Same with GTA4, PC please.
