      this is what the PS3 needs to explode sales. This game might not, but now we have 6 absolutely AMAZING games, that's what sells systems, not 1 amazing game (except Halo).

  • xymor, on 10/12/2007, -10/+1Unlike what Kojima and Mark Rein think, games are art, and you are not forced to use ever possible tool avaliable to pass on your message. Just because you game in on ps3, you don't need to use super complex physics or ultra realistic graphics.

    The tools are there, how you're going to use them is up to you.
    I bet when George Clooney said to Warner executives that "The Good German" was going to be black and white, no one said to him that unless he used Color 1080p HD cameras and 7.1 uncompressed audio microphones, no one would watch that movie or buy the DVDs.

    Games are Art, and like every Art today, investors expect profits from it. Deal with it.

Also Jak and Daxter will also probably be on no other platforms which is a shame because I love those games, just not $600 worth of love.

      But are Resistance, Motorstorm, flOw, Heavenly Sword, MGS4, LBP, Home, and Rachet and Clank worth $600 together? I think $600 is a deal for that.

      I agree, there are a ton of Mario games, but at least they change the formula with each new iteration. I loved the first two R&C games, but beyond adding a few new elements to the gameplay, it hasn't changed much. It's the reason why I never bothered picking up the rest of the series.

      Now watch me get dugg down. Huzzahs all around.

Unfortunately their game will be stuck on the console with the lowest adoption rate. In their particular case, their refusal to multi-platform will hurt them in the long run - unless SONY pulls off some type of amazing comeback this generation that has people lining up screaming "Please take my money!"

      They just need to churn out the software that people want now.

  • pencilneck, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Could this be the light at the end of the tunnel for the PS3? The Ratchet and Clank games for the PS2 were really good, I'd expect the same here. When this game and a Jax series game is released, then, I'll start thinking about getting a PS3.

    ...side note, if you like Ratchet and Clank and the Jax series games, an overlooked game that you might enjoy is Sphinx and the Cursed Mummy by THX.
