From your comment, I'm guessing Canada has no other source of light than the sun.
Interesting. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+28GLOW IN THE DARK?
omygod
ITS THE FREAKING FUTURE RIGHT THERE - PatrickFisher, on 10/12/2007, -1/+26You first.
- skellingtonjr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+22If the make it glow blue not green, then I am all for it.
- Gir53457, on 10/12/2007, -1/+20Convenient for you, but us southern Americans dig anything that looks like it emits lethal radiation.
- PatrickFisher, on 10/12/2007, -5/+24Notice that it's a Canadian company. That's because, up here, our winter days are so short, we need the glow-in-the-dark to play games at 5:00pm...
Innovation comes from necessity. - GeneralFailure0, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14Or ya know, you could just, not be a spaz and hold onto the controller.
- Gir53457, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11I'm buying four of them.
- raptordrew, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10Is it just me, or doe this seem like it might cause a problem if you had two of them (i.e. one sees the other)?
Good find though, dugg. - gungaroo22, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8You know what I have always wanted?
Glow in the dark car paint.
So my car can just zoom around, all glowing and everything.
Wouldn't that be sweet? - Jimgress, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7
"People of all ages are dazzled by glow-in-the-dark toys, and since we like video games, Glow Gaming has combined the two"
Is it me, or does that statement come off as a tad out of touch?
glow-in-the-dark was neat the first time you saw it, but I really don't think you could call it "dazzling"
gimmick would be a good word for it
kids these days - they love things that glow! - sscamatt, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6All the official nintendo gloves glow in the dark. Why pay so much for this when for $8.88 at Wal-Mart I can make my official nintendo remote glow.
- donsherio, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Sigh.... well atleast the article gives Wii the credit and not Playstation :P despite the image :p would like to see the wii version tho
- garugaga, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5http://www.glo-net.com/glow-spray-paint.html
Wouldn't this work? - Whackly, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6"What will make it do it does? Evidently, all one has to do is hold the controller up to the light for a few seconds, then turn off the light, and watch it illuminate."
OK... let's ignore the typos and examine the fact that, apparently, there are people out there who don't know how "glow in the dark" works. Sad - vdog, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Wear the wrist strap.
Hold the Wii Remote firmly and do not let go.
Give yourself plenty of room.
http://www.nintendo.com/consumer/wiiplay.jsp - Powder, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Damn, I don't know about you guys butt I find that super bright blue LED is already annoying as hell playing Zelda in a room with only the TV on.
- Gir53457, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I call it the Clicker.
- synaesthesia, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Screw that, I want a skin to make it look like the NES controller, not to mention maybe a better speaker chip and strap.
- Zippo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Do you know how hard it is to get electricity in our igloos? Cut us some slack.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Dude I'm sick of Wii stories getting on the front page. its convoluted. and I'm a ***** fanboy. We need some variety!
- thiagoleon, on 10/12/2007, -2/+4They make glow controllers to every major console, but why don't we write an article talking about the Wii version, and make it a front page on digg??
- gfunk84, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3This sounds incredibly annoying. I personally can't stand the glowing LEDs on the Wii Remote in a dark room. I couldn't imagine the entire remote glowing.
- brotherfranciz, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@ PatrickFisher:
"Necessity is the mother of invention" - Plato - KUKBAHLAM, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Yes..... In addition one should remember that the minimum age for digg is 13. I recently introduced (with parental permission) a 10 year old to digg and he thought it was the coolest thing he had ever seen on the Internet. (Yeah, one of the comments above is from a supervised 4th grader.) I guess we need to introduce a rating system to digg because it seems that all ages will be digging soon.
- MCImaginary, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Instead of focusing on whether it glows in the dark or not they should be making the Eliit Wiimote, which could have a better strap/grip, and a better speaker, maybe different colors. It'd be cool to see what they could do to it. Heck, they could even make it..glow in the dark.
- sworoc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Glow in the Dark plus a Wiimote..... BRILLIANT!
*/Guinness joke* - Lumiras, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1The "gloves" that they have for the Wiimotes already glow in the dark. It's an OK effect, but nothing that amazing
- rennigade, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I have the PS2 version. The glow effect is awesome! Quality is top notch too. Best Buy has them.
- Smuikas, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Too bad it's the crappy kind of glow that only works after it's been charged.
It would be much cooler if they used electroluminescent stuff to make it glow when it receives input. So it glows softly when you tilt, jostle, and otherwise swing and push buttons with the remote.
Imagine what a game made specifically for people on certain substances would be like. I am not advocating their use. - Miami23, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I think the wii con choler is great but mine does not work nether does my two friends they say it is a rip of.....He payed $ 50 dollars for it and they wont let you re tern it (SO DONT GET ONE)....? why thay suck.

- cheez, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1the wiimote needs a fan so it de-sweats your hands
- Gir53457, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1Edit, sorry. Wrong reply button.
- Miami23, on 10/12/2007, -8/+1I think the glow in the dark controller is great.more ideas.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -9/+1Why does the article call it the controller instead of just calling it by its acutal name the Remote.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -10/+1ZOMG, THEY COPIED THE COMPANY WHO MADE THE GLOWING PS2 CONTROLLER
ZOMG WE HAVE TO RIOT ABOUT THIS, NINTENDO IS COPING SOMEONE!11!!1!!!1!!!!!!! - tidu, on 10/12/2007, -15/+5Please no dildo references
- ScottDaMan, on 10/12/2007, -21/+6Because it would be awesome to see a glowing projectile going towards your 60" TV or out of your window. LOL. I would love to see a glow in the dark bowling slip.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -28/+9reeks of gimmick JUST like tHE Wiiii!!!!! WOOOPEEEE MOD ME DOWN
