You forget the fact that the KOF and Samurai Showdown series remain some of the deepest fighting games ever made. Not to mention many people consider Garou to be superior to Street Fighter 3. They were not knock-offs, they were games of the same genre, and in many cases, they were better. Calling King of Fighters a Street Fighter knock-off is like calling Bruce Springsteen a John Mayer knock-off. - coolmos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8subpar? SUBPAR?
Please, refrain from commenting. Try buying a NeoGeo console or game. You'll be broke before you can say 'subpar'.
I wouldn't be surprised if the NeoGeo games had cost more then the N64 games on the Wii. - xerus, on 10/12/2007, -1/+7Waku Waku 7!

As for the quality of the games, they certainly seem to hold up well compared to other games available on the VC. Just look at how many pepole are spontaneously calling out their old favorites here! =P - LordofChaosIori, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5King of Fighters! ^_^
- CGreen, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5Last Blade 2!
- megashaun, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Sega Master System was pretty cool, too. It would probably be a very easy system to add to the VC.
- coolmos, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Viewpoint !
PLEASE not Legend of Success Joe or Magician Lord! - davidjunit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Legend of Success Joe!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4now i just want 3do, jaguar , and the saturn on vc.
- droversoul, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I remember going to the laudromat years ago and playing the Neo-Geo arcade machine's Super Baseball 2020 and Fatal Fury for over an hour. These games are classic.
- Sabin, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3For the love of god give me windjammers.
- Sabredog, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3I'm dying for Garou: Mark of the Wolves.
They'd better not bait me with Fatal Fury 1... - pondster, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Actually I remember selling Neo Geo games for alot more than $200 - I could get $450 and more for some of the games. I for one would LOVE to see a completed Magicians Lord 2 !!!!
- Neorio, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Crossed Swords!
(overlooked, but nice game) - drunkjack, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Samurai Shodown!
- Aruna, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I remember buying a Neo-Geo Gold system in 94-95.. Used.. I think it cost me 500 bucks or so.. Every time our high school had an event, I'd bring it, and a bunch of us nerdy students would go to a classroom, hunker down with a big TV, and do Samurai Shodown and King of Fighters tournaments. It was so awesome.. I ended up going away for college, and my brother eventually sold the system.. I ended up buying ANOTHER system in 2000, and right now, still have it. And still play it regularly.. I only have one game (after going through, buying and selling KOF series, Samurai Shodown, Last Blade, Metal Slug), and that's Bubble Bobble.
- sourwood, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I can't wait! Um... yes I can since I can't find a f#@*ing Wii.
- o0joshua0o, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2I'm afraid you're going to have to bite the bullet and camp at a Target on a Sunday morning. I've gotten two that way (not at the same time).
- yaosio, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1GameTap already has 49 Neo Geo games.

- sleemo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I'm crossing my fingers for Shock Troopers. (And Magicians Lord so I can leave my Neo CD packed away like it is)

- Kyodain, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0aero fighters trilogy plus other 1990`s neo-geo games
- ddobson, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1I am excited about this -- the Neo Geo was always the "want but can't quite convince myself to buy" console. I bought a few of the more common cartridges a few years back to legitimize them for MAME emulation, but VC prices beat anything else out there for obtaining the legal right to play.
- MechaZain, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Super Dodgeball, plzkthx
- humanrobot, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1This game is going to be on the VC, I'm sure of it.

- BenSpinSpace, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1"'just a little above the Super NES point' of $8 per game"
There are only so many acceptable units of currency between $8 and the $10 N64 games when it comes to Wii Points. I think I would be one of the people possessed by nerd rage when I find out that my 800 remaining Wii Points are just 5 shy of that Neo Geo game I want! - Junkyarddawg, on 10/12/2007, -6/+1Wow, Digg has misplaced comments in the thread before, but never to the wrong article! Bury this.
- kurtwinter, on 10/12/2007, -12/+1Can anyone explain the value of NeoGeo in today's market? When you can use Mame to emulate the original game hardware, why should anyone pay a premium for NeoGeo's subpar game selection? They didn't have Mortal Kombat or Super Street Fighter 2, they had knockoffs. Pretty knockoffs, but knockoffs just the same. For my money, it doesn't get better than Galaga.

What is Digg?
