- daveyWSS, on 02/13/2009, -4/+21After playing gta IV inside and out. This is definitely a must buy.
- Ryawhtny4, on 02/13/2009, -4/+181/3rd of the price of the game… better be a pretty huge content pack.
- inactive, on 02/14/2009, -1/+14Meh...GTA IV multiplayer is fun to mess around on for a while, but it gets old pretty fast once you start to actually try playing competitively.
- GoodbyeHorses87, on 02/14/2009, -1/+14happy singles awareness day my fellow diggers :)
- yensed, on 02/14/2009, -2/+11I'm still amazed no one has released the actual size the download will be. As someone with a nearly-full 20GB drive, this would be nice to know before had.
- WELLDOITLIVE, on 02/14/2009, -0/+82.15 GB
- geoffreyireland, on 02/14/2009, -0/+8Its already been stated its roughly 1/3 the size of the original GTAIV. Mission and content wise.
- relaxeder, on 04/17/2009, -4/+10The chopper game sounds like fun. GTAIV's multiplayer kind of underwhelmed me, maybe some of these will make up for it.
- LemonChicken, on 02/13/2009, -2/+8And we're down.
- dandonia, on 02/14/2009, -1/+6I love that they have extended GTA and would buy this unfortunatly Rockstar sold out and as a result have abandoned me as a customer. Thats what I got for buying all their games day release.
- dandonia, on 02/14/2009, -1/+5Yeah thats true but it would still have been nice to get the expansion pack. Exclusive DLC is the worst form of exclusive. If you buy an exclusive like Crackdown, you know that any DLC will be available to you. If you buy a multiplatform game these days there is a chance you are going to get screwed. I had Bioshock day release - PS3 got exclusive content, I cancelled xbl when I got my PS3 and bought GTA on it. Screwed again.
Why punish your fanbase for buying your game? Scumy developers/publishers. - inactive, on 02/14/2009, -0/+4Xbox only?
- Slashered, on 02/13/2009, -5/+9The multiplayer is probably the best part of GTA4 for me, and these additions are great. I can't wait to get this, just for the added MP modes, even with a $20 price tag.
- TheYar, on 02/14/2009, -0/+4In other news, Saints Row 2 still has exceedingly superior multiplayer.
- Nethid, on 02/15/2009, -0/+4Yes... actually it is true. By the way, I hate you.
- Frazzlet, on 02/14/2009, -0/+4SOLD!
- jjmckay, on 02/14/2009, -2/+5What really hurts GTA IV multiplayer is that there are no dedicated servers. Most home Internet connections do not have enough uplink bandwidth host a 24 player game and this is why almost all games are a jerky/studdering lag fest. Also the limited amount of weapons get old fast. Also the weaps have an arcade game-like spread. R* failed to make the multiplayer gameplay match the outstanding world they created. There are some thing to like about the multiplayer and there is a whole lot that is lacking with it too. Know this before you buy.
- Dwebtron, on 02/14/2009, -0/+3i got my 20 gig down to 100mb left! :)
- inactive, on 02/14/2009, -0/+3There's new characters, missions, radio stations, vehicles, multiplayer modes, and indoor areas. I'd say that's worth it.
- Volatile36, on 02/14/2009, -3/+6Dugg for the truth, though I've never been kicked from multiplayer. And I will also be giving them my $20 for the DLC...
- abrasion, on 02/16/2009, -0/+2In my 20 years of gaming I've never heard one of these promises being correct.
"Contains 30 hours gameplay!" (it has 18)
"DLC is another 6 hours game" (it's 3 and a half)
"Recommended specs Pentium 233mmx with Voodoo 1 card" (buy a Voodoo 2 and a Pentium 2 -300
"This new version of Windows is actually faster than the previous one!" (A myth, has never hapenned before, new bigger windows needs new bigger resources)
So I'm guessing this is 1/4 the size of GTA4, maybe. - fragm29, on 02/16/2009, -0/+2It plays fine on my pc at 1600x1200 medium settings and it didn't cost the earth (About £400). It looks a lot better than the Xbox version as you'd expect. i hope this comes out for the PC!
- SikkinDivigil, on 02/14/2009, -2/+4Badass
- RomeyRome, on 02/14/2009, -4/+6Race mode brings back memories of Road Rash.
- dandonia, on 02/15/2009, -0/+2It doesn't matter when the decision was made, not everyone buying GTA was aware of the situation. It certainly wasn't on the box.
Game developers willing to sell out their fan base deserve boycotting. - Psythik, on 02/14/2009, -0/+2I get 35 FPS on average, and STILL get kicked from multiplayer because my "computer is running too slowly".
- SifooD, on 02/14/2009, -0/+2Hoorah.
- JollyDumple, on 02/14/2009, -0/+2I have a little less than 2 GB left, I think. I wish DLC didn't take up so much space.
- tooker, on 02/14/2009, -0/+2you can buy it at gamestop and get a code to redeem it on xbox live
http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.asp ... - inactive, on 02/14/2009, -2/+4After seeing how much more fun Saints Row 2 was, I could give a ***** about extra GTA stuff. Give me a call when they add a lot of the fun stuff they left out from GTA:SA.
- bnut, on 02/15/2009, -1/+2Microsoft payed Rockstar to make the content exclusive. This agreement was made before the game was released.
- MrFisty, on 02/16/2009, -1/+2I dunno. I was so disappointed with GTA4. I really wanted to like it. Played it a bunch of times but it just doesn't feel the same way Vice City and San Andreas did. Too preachy and too scared to just let loose.
- darthdusty, on 02/15/2009, -0/+1But you still went down on her anyway.
- fragm29, on 02/16/2009, -0/+1I really hope this comes out for the PC. GTA IV is awesome! ... but I don't do consoles.
- inactive, on 02/14/2009, -1/+2Will you be able to buy this in a store or is it xbox live only?
- inactive, on 02/15/2009, -1/+2Joysticks > Mouse when it comes to controlling vehicles and planes. That's just common sense.
And some of us have bigger TVs than what you do apparently. - armo, on 02/16/2009, -0/+1The download is 2GB, sounds like a pretty huge content pack to me.
- inactive, on 02/14/2009, -1/+2Actually a controller is far superior to a mouse/keyboard when it comes to controlling vehicles. And uhh, I don't give a ***** about not being able to do homework on a Xbox... That's what I have this computer for. A gaming console is so I can play video games on a big screen and not a 20 inch LCD monitor.
- haharr, on 02/16/2009, -0/+1Yeah... GTA4 was really underwhelming. I played about a quarter of the way through it. Got bored. Moved on. All the missions (initial ones anyway) felt like I had played it before, in San Andreas / GTA3. San Andreas still my vote for BEST GTA SO FAR.
- Darksoul, on 02/18/2009, -0/+1@skztr
Its obvious you know nothing about the game the game when it works was fun but that was only when it worked which is only about one percent of the time. It had major connection issues and hes right since its a hole world the home connections don't have enough power to host a twenty four person game and the game is only fun when shooting at alot of people. - Psythik, on 02/22/2009, -0/+1Then hook your PC up to your TV.
Your argument is now invalid. - Evolutuon, on 02/15/2009, -1/+2The DLC game version better not freeze after 20 or so minutes, that ***** makes me not want to play the game anymore.
- CandidateZero, on 02/17/2009, -0/+1Rabble rabble rabble! Boykot teh fuklorz!
Everybody's got internet access nowadays. Caveat emptor, and all that. - inactive, on 02/14/2009, -2/+2That's why I play it on the 360. For the price of a good PC graphics card you can get an entire video game system guaranteed to work perfectly.
- LibertyPrime, on 02/15/2009, -0/+0when it doesn't lag
- flamesoftheend, on 02/16/2009, -1/+1I played GTA 4 hardcore, I`m not even excited to play this for some reason...
- DarkoKun, on 02/14/2009, -2/+2Same thing I said about your mother first night I seen her.
- apena89, on 02/14/2009, -3/+2you mean Happy Virgins Day? :)
