Mad World looks great, and the install base of the Wii is nearly 4 million more than the nearest competitor (XBox 360). Not to mention... When was the last time a NEW, top tiered Wii game was released? Check out the NPD for January 2009, and nothing new (worth mention) came out in February for the Wii:
1- Wii Fit w/Board (Wii, Nintendo) - 777,000
2- Wii Play w/ Remote (Wii, Nintendo) - 415,000
3- Mario Kart w/ Wheel (Wii, Nintendo) - 292,000
Not exactly new releases. As an owner of all three consoles, I can tell you that the Wii is starved for games right now, and I'm talking retail games, not VC games.
Still, Resident Evil at Number 6, and coming out is less than a few weeks? Especially with all the hype surrounding it...THAT is Surprising. - Banhus, on 03/03/2009, -3/+23Lies, Starcraft 2 should be number 1. If not higher.

Xbox: Halo series (lame! but many consider it good), Gears of War series, Braid, GTAIV DLC
PS3: Uncharted series, LittleBigPlanet, MGS4, Killzone 2, God of War series - phpirate, on 03/03/2009, -2/+7"Wii Sports: Resort" is above Starcraft 2 and Diablo 3... I call ***** on this list. Buried.

The information they get is completely made up, and the have been caught repeatedly correcting their numbers after actual sales trackers release their data. This sight is a joke, and not scientific or accurate at all.

However, while these people have been an important demographic in terms of Wii owners, at the same time, they don't often buy games. So why aren't Wii developers making more games aimed at people who actually buy games?

No ***** kidding.
I actually get angry when i look back over the last year of wii games. The last game that was worth all the fanfare, was Brawl... which is almost exactly a year old. Since than, there have been a few decent games(mario kart being the only one i can think of) and tons of shovel ware garbage.
Remember when Reggie made a big deal about how E3 '07 would be for the core nintendo games? Than GDC '07, Than E3 '08?
Frankly, i have lost all faith in them. Even the 1st party nintendo games are not impressive. And while mad world looks artistically impressive, it still seems like a niche game(like no more heroes) that wont have as wide appeal as a more traditional fighter/action game. - hakamanakus, on 03/05/2009, -0/+2Higher than #1 would be #2, or #3, etc...

Imagine having Halo 3, Killzone, All the mario games, Madworld, Metal Gear Solid 4, and all the other games that are exclusives, and only having to buy one console to play all of them. Thats heaven right there.

It was pretty universally agreed that the battle system from 12 was a much needed change. Personally I loved it as it was similar to that of an MMORPG. I 'm still pumped for the release but can't help but feel disappointed it they are going back to turn based battle systems.

I mean, it looks cool in the trailer but I'm expecting repetitive gameplay with the best bits already shown in the trailer. Look at the game Alone In The Dark for wii, it looked like it was going to be awesome from the trailers, but then when you finally got to experience the game play it turned out to be complete crap..... now found in the walmart cheap bin. I am waiting for the american release of Fatal Frame 4 for wii.
