They ARE NOT the same guy besides the way they look and that they are assassins.
Deathstroke's "super" ability is using about 90% of his brain as opposed to the average 8(?)% for humans.
Deadpool has a healing factor and sense of humor. He's as unbreakable as Wolverine (healing and regeneration) and as skilled as The Punisher.
Deathstroke will always do his job and usually associates with villains which kind of makes him a bad guy (as opposed to neutral).
Deadpool is more neutral because he rarely teams up with villains and actually has a roughly-standard moral code.

Mortal Kombat games have been fun and accessible for years now, since Deadly Alliance. They've enjoyed amazing sales as well. The only truely bad MK games were MK4 and to an extend MK3's clones (trillogy) - Tddupre, on 11/12/2008, -0/+4no 2008

Thanx d - Elranzer, on 11/12/2008, -0/+3People always say MK2 was the best, but the 3 series (3, Ultimate, Trilogy) was definitely the best balance of characters, variety and 2D gameplay.
MK4 looked 3D, but still played as 2D. It was also faster, and the kombos were MUCH easier to perform (a criticism of MK3). I don't see why people didn't like it.
MK Deadly Alliance, Deception and Armageddon all played like a Tekken rip-off, yet they were rated fairly high by reviewers. I can see why most people didn't like those games, though Armageddon has a VERY good character creator (almost as good as Soul Calibur 3's, and definitely better than Soul Calibur 4's). - Fierdogg, on 11/12/2008, -1/+4come on you are off...These two are completely different!

Captain America / Red Skull
Wolverine / Sabertooth
Punisher / Random guys with guns
DC has bad ass villains... but 99% of them exist in Batman alone. Outside of Batman, DC has Superman, Flash, Aqua Man, Green Lantern, Wonder Woman and Lex Luthor.
I'd say there's plenty of DC combatants for a Marvel vs DC game.

Deathstroke similarities
Rob Liefeld, a fan of the Teen Titans comics, showed his new character to then writer Fabian Nicieza. Upon seeing the costume and noting his characteristics (killer with super agility), Nicieza contacted Rob, saying "this is Deathstroke from Teen Titans." As two fans of the series and character, Fabian knew Domino and Gideon (also debuting in the same issue) were serious, so he had Deadpool become an annoying jerk. Fabian gave Deadpool the real name of "Wade Wilson" as an in-joke to being "related" to "Slade Wilson", Deathstroke.[6]
In Superman/Batman Annual #1 (2006), Joe Kelly, a classic Deadpool writer, takes a new twist on this story as he creates a nameless Earth-3 analogue to Deathstroke who looks and talks almost exactly like Deadpool and who, just at the moment when he's saying his name, gets thrown off the boat (and probably killed) and all he manages to say is "DEAAAAAA...". - ThatEvilGuy, on 11/12/2008, -0/+3Am I the only one that hates cut scenes and stories in fighting or racing games? they are ok in story games like Half life but in a fighting game, I just want to ***** fight, the engine is what's important to me, the same in racing games.

Mk4 was just MK3 in 3D, same gameplay, kombos, kodes, etc. The Dreamcast-exclusive MK4 Gold was just phenomenal. I don't understand why people hated it. - inactive, on 11/12/2008, -0/+2Ya right. Superman could beat any Marvel character in a single punch. Batman could break half them mutant bitches in half. Flash could hit them a thousand times before they could throw a punch. Green Lantern could make a giant green dildo and insert, splitting them in half. Firestorm would melt Wolverine and Iron Man. Zatanna could just portal them to a different dimension. The Spectre could just blink them out of existance. And Wonder Woman would just crack out that laso, show some skin, and they wouldn't even want to fight.
