- chonuts, on 06/19/2009, -1/+46Man, I miss point-and-click action adventure games so much! Monkey Island, Grim Fandango, Sam 'n Max, Indiana Jones series, King's Quest series... the list goes on... and on...
- Ghostalker, on 06/19/2009, -1/+41Dugg for SCUMM!
- darkjolt, on 06/19/2009, -1/+36I will buy all the copies of this game for a redone Grim Fandango.
- darthsand, on 06/18/2009, -0/+34I would love to replay classic Rebel Assualt or X-wing Vs. Tie Fighter on my xbox live...
hell even sam and max or grim fandango! - Doomsan, on 06/19/2009, -0/+26I dream of getting Monkey Island 2, The Dig, Full Throttle all in beautiful HD.
- warispeace21, on 06/19/2009, -1/+25Please make the new ones animated like the Curse of Monkey Island. The 3D graphics in the new one sucked.
- okayokayokay, on 06/19/2009, -0/+23I pledged life-long allegiance to LucasArts back in 1993.
I will support anything they do. - galegovision, on 06/19/2009, -0/+22Full Throttle Rocked!
- jayhawk88, on 06/19/2009, -0/+20Everyone reading this article needs to buy 5 copies of this game. Just keep saying to yourself: Tie Fighter....Tie Fighter....Tie Fighter....
- Kronk42583, on 06/19/2009, -0/+19i'm with okokok. Monkey Island is my favorite game of all time. i was CRUSHED when they cancelled full throttle 2. Point and click adventure games are great. SCUMM!!
- petemcfraser, on 06/19/2009, -0/+17"GROG GROG GROG"
- Khast, on 06/19/2009, -0/+16Look behind you, there's a three headed monkey!
- UselessTrivia, on 06/19/2009, -0/+15Xwing/Tie-Fighter Sequel!!!!!
- veosotano, on 06/19/2009, -0/+15All I want, personally, is that they do the games in the Monkey Island 3 style, like cartoons, but in today's standard resolutions. Few games were released in that style, but it really rocked... another one that comes to my mind is Leisure Suit Larry 7 (hehe).
All that crappy 3d.... it just destroys the funny feeling those point and click adventures had.... - ancalagon73, on 06/19/2009, -0/+14I loved Monkey Island
Soon you'll be wearing my sword as a shish kebab. - inactive, on 06/19/2009, -0/+12Dugg for The Dig.
- marx2k, on 06/19/2009, -0/+12He will end up owning the internets!!
- nitroskanker, on 06/19/2009, -0/+12Where the ***** can I put in my credit card numbers for this?
- anillop, on 06/19/2009, -0/+12Please re-do maniac mansion. That was my first real computer game and I loved it.
- TJacques, on 06/19/2009, -0/+12I hope you have a lot of money, because this game is digital download only.
- IDBash, on 06/19/2009, -0/+12YAY FOR MONKEY ISLAND! I hope they remake the whole series!
- gabbagabbahey, on 06/19/2009, -1/+13"If we can make money recycling old content, we'll continue to recycle old content."
Gee, thanks.
Having said that please update X-Wing/Tie Fighter. I'll even buy a copy of Monkey Island if that'll help. - mhuggins, on 06/19/2009, -0/+11PM me with details.
- eyepennies, on 06/19/2009, -1/+11and LOOM!
- RandomGorilla, on 06/19/2009, -0/+10I, for one, want to see a remake of Loom.
- merdok, on 06/19/2009, -0/+9OH MY GOD!! That is one of the most exciting things i've heard of late.
Whatever happened to gaming, point and click adventure games were awesome, I know they didnt really work properly in a 3D setting but that didn't mean the 2D ones had to die.
God imagine a future with a new 2D Simon the Scorcerer or Discword adventure a new Flight of the Amazon Queen oh god I'm excited now! I wouldn't even dream of pirating these games (except monkey island... it will be a ghost pirate though) - brownsound00, on 06/19/2009, -0/+9i came here to post about tie fighter... one of the best flight sims (even tho it's not a flight sim really) ever. The AI had to have been to smartest ones around.
- DarthGrape, on 06/19/2009, -0/+9tie fighter was amazing, i would pay good money to blow up more star destroyers...if they were foolish enough to defect again.
- camaroz06, on 06/19/2009, -0/+9That would be great, I missed so many great computer games as I was growing up. As another request:
Tie Fighter with updated graphics please! - paintray98, on 06/19/2009, -0/+8X-Wing Alliance was my favorite, I wish LucasArts would get back to creating Star Wars universe PC flight sims
- megaton, on 06/19/2009, -0/+8Dugg for the most obvious article premise, ever:
"Company may try to make more money if money-making endeavor succeeds." - idesign, on 06/19/2009, -2/+10am i the only one who thinks this type of gameplay is perfectly suited for the iPhone?
- supermario182, on 06/19/2009, -0/+8Why are the not releasing this for Wii Ware? Seems to me like a point and click game would work better on the wii than the xbox
- vpshockwave, on 06/19/2009, -0/+7Jedi Academy isn't THAT old. It definitely doesn't need to be redone.
Oh, and Jedi Outcast ftw. - eyepennies, on 06/19/2009, -0/+7“How appropriate. You fight like a cow.”
- Radiohead84, on 06/19/2009, -0/+7YES YES YES.
I haven't bought a video game in a good long while but I will deff support this game and tell all of my friends. The Monkey Island games were so awesome, and really bring a smile to my face. I was just talking to my friend the other day about adventure games, and how no one makes them anymore. Now a days games are made for only graphics, and the mechanics and story are gone in most of them. Adventure games like Monkey Island are just FUN games to play and that is what games should be about.
Now make a totally new adventure game please! or..make a sequel of Space Quest, Simon the Sorcerer, and GrimFandango. - veosotano, on 06/19/2009, -0/+7woah... the dig!!! In HD!!!!
... sorry I just jizzed in my pants
I looooved that game! - bury, on 06/19/2009, -0/+7I have supported Lucas Arts since they started making PC games. What do I get for my loyal support? Their latest major release "The Force Unleashed" is not even available for the PC. What the hell? PC gamers are what made this company what it is. It's like a slap in the face.
- sh0x, on 06/19/2009, -1/+8They cancelled the Full Throttle sequel when it was like, half done. But Voodoo Lady promised that she had an unbreakable 5-game contract! So I think there's more hope for MI than Full Throttle. I would crap my pants if there was a new Maniac Mansion.
- veosotano, on 06/19/2009, -0/+7just leave a comment and somebody will take care, don't worry
- foundingbrother, on 06/19/2009, -0/+6I sure do wish I could play the classic X-Wing and Tie Fighter games again. I burned countless hours on those on my old 486.
- merreborn, on 06/19/2009, -0/+6To do loom justice, they'd probably have to re-record the soundtrack.
- kozakly, on 06/19/2009, -0/+6But first you better stop waving it like a feather duster
- Kronk42583, on 06/19/2009, -0/+6The kings quest games were good, but for how old i was when i played them, they were a bit hard. the constant dying got tedious and annoying. LucasArts' games proved you don't need to have deaths to make a game challenging and enjoyable.
- EskNerd, on 06/19/2009, -0/+6Don't forget my personal favorites: Indiana Jones and the Fate of Atlantis and Sam'n'Max Hit the Road (the 2D classic, of course, not the 3D update). I know they recently rereleased Fate of Atlantis with the new Wii Indiana Jones game, Staff of Kings... too bad that means it'll probably never get the same treatment that SoMI just did.
- jeremymccurdy, on 06/19/2009, -0/+6I wish Lucasarts would kick Sierra in the ass and make them remake the Kings Quest and Space Quest games and also make sequels. I would murder puppies for a new Space Quest.
- tragedyfish, on 06/19/2009, -0/+6How appropriate, you fight like a cow!
- loneraver, on 06/19/2009, -0/+6I'm ready for Lucasarts is step out of their star wars comfort zone. I used to be a large star wars fan but with the constant stretching of their franchise and new level of creepiness the fans go to with every generation, it's hard to maintain the excitement.
summary: Non-"star wars" Lucasarts gets me exciting again. - mohrt, on 06/19/2009, -0/+6SOMI + iPhone = instabuy.
