- tsaylor, on 10/12/2007, -3/+20These are hardly ringtones. Many are way too big and long to put on a phone. Media library yes, and fodder for reencoding into ringtones, but not ringtones as such.
- aaronlidman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+14Talk about nostalgia, i remember the sounds but have no clue what half the story lines where... time to head to ebay and look for some consoles.
- Blah_Blah_Blah, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10I agree, very nostaligic. Listening to Metroid Prime music made me want to play it again sooooo badly.... *runs to gamecube*
- chaosmachine, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12metroid prime? nostalgic?.. isn't it a little early to be nostalgic about something that came out in 2002?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6Down-Them-All extension for Firefox perhaps?
- drewpost, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6I'm rockin the Original Gameboy Tetris songs...... ahh how I miss that
- paOol, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5so how do we get these on our phones? o_O
- miestersean, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4This is so cool...downloading all of the Super Mario RPG ones for my iPod now...
- bparker, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4I don't have a problem playing the mp3s on my phone.... I have the Sharp 903SH. And if you want the original music off the games themselves (no mp3 compression etc): http://www.zophar.net/music.html. You'll need a special player/plugin which they have on the site as well.
- pseudoheld, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4can only agree on that! i really want to hear the musik from the mountains again! that was the best ever :D
- sldSquirrel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Damn, Majora's Mask had the best Zelda soundtrack. It's so gloomy/dark.
- shortkid422, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Hmm, is there an easy way to download them all at once?
- MioTheGreat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3OoT is just the soundtrack ripped to mp3.
- negativefx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Does anyone have a good site to go to for either midis or mp3s of more NES/SNES than this one? I don't really need a 1.5meg mp3 version of a 32k midi on my phone :/
And I need ninja gaiden Mineshaft :) - themadhatter444, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Whoever found this should be knighted. I've been looking for something like this for about a year now with no luck. This easily makes my number 1. I now have unlimited ringtones tied to my countless memories of Ocarina. God, good times.
- MiamiGuy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4If you all love video game music you should check out OCRemix. You can find them at http://www.ocremix.org There's tons of video game music remixes there. The ringtones in that site are nothing compared to what you can find there.
- ref-d, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6I disagree, just cos you don't like them as ringtones doesn't mean they aren't.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I think you can use a program like Xingtone to do it. I've used it before and like it pretty well. It's commercial software however, does anyone have a free alternative they'd like to share?
- tacojohn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Does anyone know where I can get the super mario coin sound effect? I'd like to use it as my text message sound...
- msafi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I recommend Yoshi's Island Underground.mp3. Good tune.
- andreascliment, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Awesome, got the Super Mario Theme as my ringtone now!
- MasterWizard, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2thanks for the tip.
the final fight with red from Pokemon was what i wanted. totally awesome. - NikoKun, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2huray! i've been looking for good OoT songs for my new cell phone!! XD
- exick, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2The php script has a problem with files that have odd characters in the name.
For names with ampersands in them, change the ampersand in the URL to a [percent]26.
Anybody have any ideas about what to do with the filenames that have apostrophes in them? It looks like the php is probably choking on the name because it thinks the apostrophe signifies the end of the string, but I can't seem to get around it. - DragonQuester, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Good find!
- rderveloy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2This is a great find, but it seems that the site developer was hasty and forgot to check some of the links.
If you're looking for missing file that is the result of a broken link, try this:
The songs are stored in the following directory layout:
media.xiinet.com/music/*console*/*game*/*song*
where *console*, *game*, and *song* are to be replaced with what you're looking for.
So, for example, the main Mario theme for the NES is located at:
media.xiinet.com/music/Nintendo%20Entertainment%20System/Super%20Mario%20Bros/1-01_main_theme_&_overworld.mp3
If you have problems, try replacing spaces with %20's in the URL. That helped me get a few songs that came up as broken links, but the files are actually there.
You should only use this to find songs that are linked, but you get the site's custom file does not exist page. For everything else, you should use the normal method. - bobmagoo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I used FlashGot(firefox extension) with FlashGet(stand alone program)
It worked really well, just right click on the page where the mp3's are, select FlashGot All
Awesome site, it brought back so many memories. they dont make em like they used to - ChrisRX, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1All these soundtracks and a LOT more are available on galbadia hotel.
Google it. - Shwenk, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Needs Tetrisphere.
- Blah_Blah_Blah, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2.... what, you cant be nostalgic about a game you played 4 years ago?
- Black913Hole, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2No Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past...
- realyst, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Many motorola phones allow sending mp3 files(of whatever length) to the phone via USB or bluetooth for use as a ringtone is you buy Motorola's "Mobile Phone Tools" software,
I think there's also a way to hackneye it using the p2k drivers too, but the Motorola software ain't that expensive(runs 70$ Canadian, new) - dralezero, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Yea I agree. I think repeative ringing like sounds or tetris or techno music are good for ringtones like metal gear codec, star and metal mario stuff like that.... compared to a random song or ambience.
- fuzynugz, on 07/10/2008, -0/+1http://www.midishrine.com/

- TinFoil209, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1For sprint users (possibly others) use this: http://www.sprintusers.com/focus/
It sends u a web link on your phone in the format needed to download. Totally free. Just like the 3rd Party ring tone companies use. - remister, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Man works will with Songbird. W00T
- benjaminooo, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Some of the Metroid tracks are missing.. Also you can edit these mp3s to be shorter/smaller files.. duhhhhh
- GreenYoshi, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Hey guys, XiiNet founder here :). Glad you like my little archive, and thanks for pointing out the broken links rderveloy, i'm sure I'll have time to fix them in the little free time I have now.
If you have any requests for music to put up then go over to the Xiin Boards and post a few suggestions there, I shall pick them up and upload them asap. - mydave, on 08/01/2008, -0/+0good, good, good. I search this. so thanks.
