And, not even taking that into consideration, a silenced sniper rifle would make the sniper class completely unbalanced. You could pick off people and never be discovered! Everything must have a sacrifice to make it balanced.
Everything else though, definitely would be great to see. Especially a map maker. And the only map I ever used night vision on was shipwreck (***** hate that map). - MastaQ, on 07/17/2009, -0/+13I have to disagree with toning down Juggernaut. Juggernaut is NOT overpowered. It is canceled out with Stopping Power, yet people still complain about it. The only time Juggernaut is annoying is when you're sniping, but really I see no reason why it should be toned down. It's the anti-Stopping Power perk. I could see them possibly removing Juggernaut's ability to withstand explosions (similar to World at War), but that's as far as they should go in my opinion.
Grenades should be toned down somewhat, like Treyarch did in World at War, where the grenade proximity icon fades as you get closer away. Grenades in CoD4 are ridiculous sometimes, it seems like they can still kill you from the longest distances.
Martyrdom should also be modified so that it doesn't kill you, unless you've taken damage, and it should have reduced kill range. It's frustrating to knife an enemy that has Martyrdom who's camping in a corner and you die because you couldn't run around fast enough. It's the only perk in the game that rewards you for dying.
Helicopters should be changed so that you can snipe the pilot to down the helicopter, and they should only be able to target one enemy per minigun burst.

Right now there is hardly any incentive to work as a team to down a helicopter so guys just let it mow them down for a minute or so. Give out 50 points for knocking it out of the air and teams will start to focus on them.
I play this game about 5 hours daily so I've become pretty good and I get my share of choppers. However, helicopters suck because they cause deaths that aren't really your fault. - UnixSkunk, on 07/17/2009, -0/+7Last stand needs to be adjusted. Getting sniped by someone in last stand with a pistol from clear across the map is silly. You're supposed to be bleeding out...dying. I recommend balancing it a little by doing something like the stun grenade effect where your cursor is weaving around in the air a little...Or give the pistol sway like a sniper rifle has while in last stand.
Martyrdom......Needs to be button activated as someone mentioned above, or you dont get the points from the kill. Its a useful measure for breaking someone's streak though, to help in preventing the other team from getting helicopters. - kfxrcer1, on 07/17/2009, -0/+6This guy is basically advocating for unstoppable classes in team deathmatch and would find that playing the current game in hardcore would alleviate many of his problems. As much as I hate juggernaut, last stand, martyrdom, they aren't affective in HC and I very often only find its newbs that use those perks, as i once did, and without them and the addition of silenced snipers and or silencer/red dot site combined would only mean further total devastation of those not familiar with the game. For the most part I like it as is due to the fact that those cheap perks are there for those that really need them but I find a combination of the other perks are more rewarding once you gain enough skill.

Sounds nice on paper, sucks in real multiplayer (players just cook the grenades). Instead replace it with a punting/kicking action so you have less control over where exactly the grenade lands but it's much faster than picking it up and throwing it back (making it, you know, usefull to saving your life).
-Give the helicopters pilots so we can snipe them. No pilot = helicopter crashes.
-Points for helicopter kills.
-Turn off the indicator for friendly grenades. It's annoying.
-Get a Ranked/Social playlist like Halo. Not an exact rip off, but at least a playlist that is more "serious" and has better player matching. I'm tired of being weighed down by worthless, bullet magnets that always finish the game with a score like 1/11 or 7/18 while I finish 20/3 and STILL LOSE. I want to play with fellow good players, not with 3 team members whose favorite hobbies are jumping onto enemy grenades and donating UAVs to the other team.
-Fix the match making system. It sucks. I just see the entire pool of 12 players cut in half and the best 6 scores go on one team while the worst 6 scores go on the other. Completely unfair.

-Give us a post match battle report option, like Halo did. I wanna know my K/D spread and be able to check out how my teammates did, not be forced to memorize them in the last two seconds of the game.
-Martyrdorm shouldn't be completely passive and automatic. Either you need to press a button when you drop the grenade, or you only drop it if you actually have a grenade left. One or the other.
-Last Stand and Juggernaught are fine.
-All pitch black level? Umm, no, sounds like retarded level design. However a better way to implement that is on certain levels with large indoor parts, make it interactive by allowing players to turn on and off lights in certain dark areas. That way you don't always need night vision, but sometimes you do, and it adds more strategy to the game.
-Silenced snipers? No. My gut just says no. The whole point of a silenced weapon is that it's balanced out by the lack of range, and a red dot. If there's no trade off, then a silenced sniper is just dumb, way to overpowered. An average sniper suddenly becomes a lot better, and any good snipers will be able to abuse this so much it will be incredibly unfair.
-Dual wielding pistols/submachine guns may be interesting but it depends entirely on how they decide to implement. I'd rather see no dual wielding than crappy/over or underpowered dual wielding.
All the WaW improvements to general gameplay (bigger assists, added blood & gore, 2x grenades, etc) should be an obvious DUH.
And finally, the next game should be Post-Modern Warfare. It'd be nice to see Infinity Ward do a retro style 50's sci-fi CoD (think of the ray gun they had in WaW: Zombie Mode...). This is more of a dream than anything, and the title wasn't meant to be serious btw... - OptykUnreal, on 07/17/2009, -0/+6I think map editing is cool but kills games in open online play. Like Unreal 3 you spend most of your time downloading new maps rather than playing. I think it would be cool to release a map editor and be able to submit your maps to IF and every two months they would release like a 3-5 map pack that they have made sure are quality maps and then patch to work in the game.

Ability to customize your dude to some degree. Ability to 'mount' a gun on a chest-high wall for stability. Being able to see more of your own body in game.
Keep the flash-bang headshot's ability to kill though. That's awesome =D

I say remove the invincibility.
