- sockpuppets, on 10/12/2007, -0/+63This beats my fleshlight/can opener combo for sure.
- tidu, on 10/12/2007, -1/+30It was cooler when Yoshi did it.
- BionicBeefpile, on 10/12/2007, -0/+27Digg because believe it or not I was thinking about doing this myself.
Too bad my wife has been playing a lot of Wii boxing, and now I'm afraid of what would happen to me if I took it away. - habbofresh, on 10/12/2007, -2/+26This is amazing. He crammed the wii into a bigger box and connected the video to an off-the-shelf analog pci tv tuner solution. (should have gotten the hdtv wonder, pal)
In other news, I have made an excellent hybrid Mac & Windows notebook mod using nothing but ducttape. - atomicSpatule, on 10/12/2007, -3/+27AMD does have HT, it's called Hyper Transport, and it's been available for a while
- pedro101, on 10/12/2007, -1/+22Here's the link to the actual item on ebay...
http://cgi.ebay.com/Gamers-Dream-w-Nintendo-wii-built-in-must-see-w-19in_W0QQitemZ330085598495QQihZ014QQcategoryZ140075QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem - NICU, on 10/12/2007, -0/+13Awesome idea, but this has to be horrible for the Wii as far as heat goes. PCs get incredibly hot inside and that can't be good for the Wii. You're going to need a lot more fans to keep that cool enough.
- asianEmo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10From the e-bay page:
"Nintendo WII with wii-mote and numbchuck"
I've aways wanted a numbchuck - TheMattrix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9I did something similar with a GameCube back in the day:

side | http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v210/TheMattrix/Computer/side.jpg - PABeachBum, on 10/12/2007, -1/+10Interesting. The date stamp on the pictures say 1/25. But the screencap of the monitor says "1/15"
Plus this user has pretty low feedback.
I'd definitely be weary. - chubbybubba, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9I miss that Asian named Caucasian.
- TTSkipper, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8Why exactly is this cool? I could stick a toaster in the top of a case but what is the point I already have a kitchen with a counter and plugs. On top of the fact that this is no more useful than if it was not built into the case, it looks like crap. I could plug a WII into a Media Center or any other PC with a TV Tuner/Video Capture card so that I can play "on the computer monitor" or just plug the WII or any other system into one of the 5 or 6 other inputs on almost any wide screen LCD TV that supports DVI, composite, component and VGA. Then I could use split screen and watch TV and play WII at the same or I could play WII and a friend could play 360. I write as I sit reading DIGG and watching TV on my 26" wide screen LCD.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Way, way cooler.
- Jofaba, on 10/12/2007, -0/+6bad computer ***** idea, done very unprofessionally. Digg me down, up, doesn't matter. People are paying over $400 for Wii receipts, so I guess people are willing to pay anything for ridiculous items.
- Andero, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Cool idea, too bad he didn't actually make it look very good
- habbofresh, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5"Why exactly is this cool? I could stick a toaster in the top of a case but what is the point I already have a kitchen with a counter and plugs"
no kidding! "OMG LOOK! I STUCK ***** TOGETHER! I AM A MODDER!!!!!1one"
Looking at the specs again, i think junior's trying to get money for a *new* PC. - quetranza, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7Thread over.. sockpuppets wins.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Its midrange, definitely not an enthusiast rig, but decent.
- monkeyrun, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Looks nasty.
- TheKlaw, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I'd recommend being wary as well.
- BlackCow, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6Its a WiiC
- terribly1, on 10/12/2007, -4/+7Single core, and is benching his system on 3DMark03?
I'll keep my computer and my monitor, and play my Wii on my big teevee, kthx. - qkslvr221, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3This is definitely better than the wii mod.
- dscottp, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Don't most TV tuners say "Don't use this with a video game system" because the video is going to have some lag on it? I know that when I watch TV on my computer, it does lag 1/2 a second or so behind the broadcast coming in on my TV....
- firepunk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3what if the wii overheats and is no longer functional in the next say, 6 weeks? your warranty is gone, i assume, from opening the case on the wii. please correct me if i am wrong, but basically if you purchase that, you got your self a $1300 time bomb with no warranty.
- biggdunc, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3WiiPuter sounds terrible
how about the PeeWii, yea i like that
good idea
/dugg - super_spyder, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2UGLY!!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2yea I think most modders would cringe at this, pc modding is all about style, not just putting stuff inside stuff.
- answer42, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Meh
- evilgold, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Actually its a pretty good deal. The PC alone costs at least $1100 in parts and windows (newegg). The wii costs $250 plus games. Although i dont see how its possible to play wii with a tuner card because there will be a delay, which is even more noticable because of the motion sensing controls of the wii. I've tried doing it myself (with the wii on the outside), using a much better card then the ATI POS, and believe me, you cant play ***** because of the delay.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2No need to be weary, no one in their right mind is going to pay $1300 for something they can get any hs geek to do for parts + 100
- jakeblat, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Why did he put playstation controller ports on the front?
I might as well go and plug my playstation controller into a light socket - omnithought, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Nice idea! Now I'll just spend enough to buy a case and do it myself for cheap!
- quiltmaster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I think instead this guy should work on attaching an easy-bake oven to a tower without it over heating and melting everything. When I am on the computer I always was some cookies.
- fortezza, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"Ebay user thef1ea has done something that is downright cool. "
Our definitions of cool are very different. I rate this as downright waste of time. - chubbybubba, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1I'm gonna state the obvious here and say the Wii isn't made to be played so close on a computer monitor...if you stand far away enough where you won't be smashing your pc and monitor to bits than it seems it would be harder to see...plus lets be honest...the wii is basically for multiplayer party fun... it would be lame to imagine 4-12 people standing around a little LCD. A PC is all about the online play... a wii doesnt even have online play (yet)...so as far as i'm concerned it doesnt even belong together...a PC and 360 would be cool though.
- u2wedge, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1465 diggs and no bids... what up?
- azizrulez, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0sounds cool
has anyone seen the WIINMOTE
for the PC
its cool - hanmik, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0 Does a 3dmark03 score of 14500 seam high for this system?
- Roagie, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0That is ridiculous. It makes a very portable system entirely unportable. So when your friends say, 'you have a Wii, cool!' and then they want you to bring it over and you have to say, 'sorry, it's installed in my pc'. Yeah, your friends are thinking ass clown for sure.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0not one single bid!
thats unlucky, even after being dugg. - Appox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0A 360-PC combo would be better, the 360 could use the HD display nicely and can be played at a good close range.
How did he hook the Wii up to his computer monitor? I have no idea what the cables are called. - rshu4you, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1iWiiPC
- Foamator, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1HyperTransport eliminates the need for a north bridge, sez George!!!
- D4r7h3v1l, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2If a 512mb x1800 is "hideously low", i'd hate to hear what you have to say about my 7800gtx, which is excellent for my uses, including gaming at 1600x1200.
Hell, I could play BF2 on my 6600gt. - iamshades, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1no ones bidded on it yet and only 21hours left haha
he shouldve made it an sli rig. - doctorcaligari, on 10/12/2007, -9/+5@goatbnn
That's HyperTransport, which is totally unrelated to HyperThreading.
EDIT: atomicSpatule beat me to it - AirRaven, on 10/12/2007, -8/+2Hideously low Gaming PC specs, it must be said.
- kingkilr, on 10/12/2007, -10/+4Yeah, and that PC is kinda crappy in terms of a new PC. Not even dual core.
- D4r7h3v1l, on 10/12/2007, -11/+3goat, it's referring to AMD's hypertranport technology.
