  • mrboratsagdiev, on 02/18/2008, -16/+53Releasing 100s at once is certainly unprecedented, but I and others in the 'hardcore' gaming community have released dozens into the wild over time, based on deals we've made with ex-industry workers and other collectors. I still have a bunch of Japanese Sega Mega CD prototypes on official Sega CD-R to release when I have time, as a matter of fact.

    That said, I can't wait to find out what kind of goodies will be released (and expeditiously added to my own collection).

    Glad to hear of your trove, btw. Looks like a few of the commenters took it completely wrong thinking I was somehow squashing your big day. (The point was, there are a lot of prototype releasers out there!)
