"What can Zune offer that the ipod can't do?
First off, the Zune can't work with my mac.
Second it doesn't work with iTunes, which is THE most superior music player on the mac (Songbird is getting there, but there are still a LOT of problems.)
Third, I find the iPod easier to use. More fluid.
Fourth, worse battery life.
Fifth, it doesn't work with any of the 'plays for sure' music.
Sixth, noone has one, so the 'welcome to the social' becomes 'welcome.... to the middle of nowhere.'"
First off, the Zune can play radio, transfer songs, has a wider screen, can play more formats, and has a subscription service that allows me to download as many songs as I want. And now it can play games (and its pretty obvious that they don't mean "parachute jump", they mean halo and the like.) Thats a lot that your iPod can't do.
Second, Who the hell cares that it doesn't work with iTunes? The music on iTunes is crap quality, and support for the mac is coming.
Third, Thats your opinion, I think that the Zune has a much nicer interface, and is much cleaner then the iPod. It also looks nicer if you ask me.
Fourth, Battery life isn't that bad so long as you turn of the wi-fi
Fifth, neither does the iPod or iTunes, kinda contradicting yourself, huh?
Sixth, I know quite a few people who have Zunes, and they all like it better then the iPod.

But at least Steve JObs screwed his shareholders with his options scam.

Fist of all I use the "M$" for Microsoft because it really strikes of never with ***** like you, second and for the last time I am not an Apple fanboy I own 3 PCs and 1 Macbook, and the fact that you can say with straight face that the release of the iPhone isn't bad but even good for the Zune shows that your a M$ fanboy/Apple hatter, you like allot of the people here feel the need to be loyal to a company for some reason I don't I have absolutely no stock in whether the iPhone or the Zune is successful I was just giving an objective opinion which i thought was the whole point of the comments.

I think the Zune is alot better then ipods, it offers more and its different. People with music libraries that are bigger than the 8GB capacity of the iPhone probably would think about another player for an upgrade. And with more memory is more space to fill your ipod whit songs, tv shows and movies from iTunes (and that's good for Apple).
