- JFetch, on 10/12/2007, -3/+33Only if you buy them. It's nice to have a choice.
- gothsquirrel, on 10/12/2007, -2/+16I think its kinda cool how all my xbox accessories are also going to be my PC accessories. I already have a wired 360 controller and don't own a 360 (yet). The 360 controller rocks some emulation.

I think he was referring to the PS3 with the comment about being forced to buy into an HD DVD standard. I.e. you aren't forced to do so with the 360 as the device is a separate unit. - INTEGR8, on 10/12/2007, -8/+19Still, seems very cheap when compared to the PS3.
- ReikiMaster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8*The 360 has **changed** my outlook on consoles to a small extent.*
Damn spell checker. I didn't notice untill I couldn't edit the comment anymore. It was driving me nuts so I had to fix it. - Ninjab3ar, on 10/12/2007, -4/+12digg him down, hes taking up too much space.
7 paragraphs of fanboy ranting. - ReikiMaster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8get them both.
the 360 is a very good system. microsoft has hit the nail on the head with xbox live. If you have a 360 then you know what I mean. The 360 has change my outlook on consoles to a small extent. Its no longer about the hardware that each systems have, but also about what kind of services do they offer. - NorCal05, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8There should be basic literacy requirements for posting online
- ninjasquirrel, on 10/12/2007, -6/+12It doesn't even have to be 360 accessories.... I have 4 original xbox controllers converted to standard USB on my media center pc... nothing beats Donkey Kong Country or Mario Kart played on a real console controller.
Great for mech games as well. - ReikiMaster, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5You don't think the PS3 will have peripherals?
I am excited for some of them, but not all. So, like any smart person I will only buy the items I want. None of them are necessary to play games or enjoy my 360, but they are just nice to have. - pogowolf, on 10/12/2007, -1/+6If the PS2 was secure, why are there hacks for it?
- autorock, on 10/12/2007, -6/+11...then don't buy them! Personally, I like having the option to buy all the extra goodies a la carte, instead of being forced to buy into an HD DVD standard, just to be able to play "next gen" games.
- ubergmr, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5@Smwbigboss if you want to be a thief just shoplift, i has to be easier then arguing on the phone for an hour
- CatfishJones, on 10/12/2007, -3/+6I'm going to splurge for the new headset; I heard it's comfy. The stock headset gives me a headache. (I think my skull's too big)
Last week's 1UP Yours audio podcast has a good bit on it about the new peripherals if you want to hear some hands-on impressions. Be warned the podcast is over an hour long so it may take a few minutes to find the right bit. - pegisys, on 10/12/2007, -2/+5yeah I hate sitting the controller down and trying to walk off with the head set still on
and the camera for $79 seems to be a great deal, a year of live and a handfull of games, I may have to get one - UnknownCzar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3Can't see why ninja is getting modded down..
anyways yeah. I converted my old xbox controllers to usb gamepads months ago. Why spend 30 bucks on some gamepad when you can just get a usb 1.1 wire, cut it in two and splice the wires with two xbox controllers inline release wires.
I even bought two additional inline release wires, just so that I would be able to still play on my xbox. Ended up spending 8 bucks in total and gained 2 good gamepads out of it. - jeet404, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3"I will be busy playing with my secure PS3 which your xbox 360s will be still having heating problems and dealing with those 360 vista viruses, and no PS3 wont have heating problems they have had a full year to properly test their console."
Kaz Hirai is that you? - chris9902, on 10/12/2007, -3/+5The wireless headset looks good. I hate having a wires... it's soooo 2005.
- phidong, on 10/12/2007, -1/+2Who cares? This one got to the front page, probably because it has a much better title.
- crashingechelon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Can't wait for that PC adapter. I'll finally get to use a decent pc controller. I know the wired controller is already avaliable, but I have a wireless controller I bought for 18 dollars from Microsofts retail site. So it was cheaper this route to get the 18 dollar wireless controller and the adapter when it comes out. Now all I need to do is buy a 360.
- ubergmr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1damn microsoft and there ability to make me spend even more money on my gaming rig, anyways if you want to learn more about the peripherals you can find a video here http://www.joystiq.com/2006/08/22/video-rundown-of-the-360-peripherals/

- Goya, on 10/12/2007, -2/+3Wow, I guess you will learn proper usage of punctuation this year in grade school?
Here is a head start http://www.arts.uottawa.ca/writcent/hypergrammar/endpunct.html. - larah, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1to add, what happened to the days when consoles just came with everything (like two controllers) for a decent price... to me, its just nickle and diming... pay 10 for a memory card, pay 40 for 2nd controller, pay 100 for a 20gb hd (which is really insane - at least with the original xbox you could swap in an old larger hd u had lying around), pay 100 more for a premium edition but, if u dont, u wont be able to save games or play wirelessly... with the 360, its getting ridiculous, its never-ending... ms and the whole industry is to blame... instead of wasting development time and money on garbage games like those movie tie-ins... they would save money and effort by developing some quality stuff... then maybe, games wouldnt have to cost $60 to make up the difference... i rather have fewer quality ones that a bunch of junk in the market... the industry is so focused on delivering crap just to make a buck... the sad thing, people just accept it and continue buying... what nintendo is promising with its lower price is bucking the trend but, its still early and few details are out right now... so im still skeptical...
- Ninjab3ar, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1are you able to plug in yur own peripherals in the usb ports ad use them (pc headsets, cameras, etc.)?
- jeet404, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1Seems like good to me. But the camera bungle doesn't really get me going I don't want a month worth of live when I already have like 15 months already. I don't want the headset bungle with the camera either because I already got a headset and I am the only one who really uses the 360 for online. I hope they just sell the camera with Uno that's all I want nothing more nothing less :)
I want the wireless headset but damn $59 for that Jesus looks like I will have to suffer my non-wireless headset for a bit more cause that's allot of freaking money. But it's is nice they didn't make the Wireless Gaming Receiver for Windows only $20 cause I didn't want it to go to expensive. But overall I think I am going to buy majority of the peripherals before Christmas. - larah, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0kingadrock understands my point.

- DollaDollaBill, on 10/12/2007, -9/+7@autorock
The 360 HD-DVD drive is only for HD-DVD movies, will not support games. - KingAdrock, on 10/12/2007, -8/+6Why was that first comment dugg down? It's true, I built up a core system and I'm sick to my stomach when I think how much I've spent. Then again thats probably the only way they can make money off game hardware these days.
Regardless I'm lovin my 360 more and more as time goes on. - Flump5000, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1damn thats a small headset
- homicidalmo0se, on 10/12/2007, -3/+1... Garnette?

And not as thorough as the original either - Smwbigboss, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1There's a scam that was going around the internet for a while now. Apparently, you can just walk into circuit city or something, find a microsoft accessory and write down the product number. Then when you get home, call them up and say your item isn't working. After 5 minutes of troubleshooting BS, they'll ask for the product number and send you a new one. You don't even have to send the old one back ;)
It's been tested with the Microsoft remote keyboard, but I'm not sure if xbox accessories will work. Eh, try it anyway. - v3xt0r, on 10/12/2007, -10/+3lol, isn't everyone (except me of coarse) who uses digg, a fanboy? =p
- Ninjab3ar, on 10/12/2007, -12/+5me too (i dugg you up)
- dshPls, on 10/12/2007, -13/+4hi i write paragraphs.
- dshPls, on 10/12/2007, -13/+2hi i write paragraphs
- dcoolidge, on 10/12/2007, -21/+7I'm still waiting for the Wii.
- Darksoul, on 10/12/2007, -22/+3Yeah exactly look at these prices man and you all bitch about the PS3 being 600 bucks, why.? I can Garnette you that hddvd will be at least over $120 now lets add all this up, compared to the eye toy with a superior resolution and yes its superior lets not kid our selves and it actually does more then just sit there as a camera its true gaming device $39.00 to $79, then the wireless headset $59, wireless gaming receiver $20 and yes people will be buying it since alot more homes are starting to go to wireless so lets not kid our selves there either.
I will add all this up I doubt the hddvd drive will sell for even $120 I bet at least $150 to $170 and the funny part is all it will be used for is watching hddvd movies they aren't even using it for games I'm sorry but why do all you xbox fan-boys think this is good you get nothing out of it but yet you continue you rip on blue-ray which is actually being used for gaming on the PS3 along with movies and everybody saying its going to have slow read times NOT read the specs and know what your talking about it has an equivalent to a 6X dvd reading speed don't believe me look it up for your selves.
That turns out to be $637 and that's with out tax added in and I didn't add in the $79 full blown camera deal and I didn't add in the price that more likely people have already paid for a year of xbox live if you did add that in the price would go up to $686 with out tax.
Some how the PS3 doesn't seem like a bad deal does it Plus add in that 60 gig hard drive and more ways to save your games plus linux, all the xbox 360 has is a 20 gig hard drive and a small memory device I love how you can just use an sd card that way you can leave your hard drive to the PS 3.
Seriously admit it you 360 guys got screwed by m$ but don't feel bad m$ has been screwing people over since its inception they have created more problems then doing any good I cant wait till vista comes out and people start tying their comps via vista to their xbox 360s then some hacker will make a virus and bingo the first console virus ever, just like we can thank m$ for screwing over ogl which had the potional to be a hell of alot better then direct x yep keep buying into m$ crap, I will be busy playing with my secure PS3 which your xbox 360s will be still having heating problems and dealing with those 360 vista viruses, and no PS3 wont have heating problems they have had a full year to properly test their console.
Good luck with your current 360s
P.S. Not a sony fan boy, I have owned every single console and intend to again once the 360 comes down in price and have all the problems worked out, I have never had one problem with my ps2 or ps1 and ill never hook it up to vista thats one problem I dont need. - larah, on 10/12/2007, -31/+7man, all these xbox accessories are adding up and getting expensive...
