Lol. I needed a good laugh. No, this game, nor any other will ever mean DS has caught up to PSP in terms of homebrew for many reasons. One being PSPs superior hardware making it capable of things DS flat out can't do. Another being homebrew on PSP doesn't require additional hardware. And last but not least, PSP homebrew can enhance retail games with features such as boosting the processor speed (and as a result, better framerates) custom soundtracks, PC controller support, etc. DS homebrew can not. PSPs PS1 emulator by default puts it leagues ahead of DS - xblaster, on 10/10/2007, -0/+1Hi, I'm the developer of Meteora. It's my first homebrew and my first experience on a portable system.
I think PSP scene and DS scene is not really comparable. PSP is more "impressive" due to possibility of processor.
But the real lack of PSP is originality, no touch screen, mic, ...
We can invente new gameplay on DS where on PSP we can only do "the same" or just a bit better with new graphism.
But all homebrews come from dev-fr coding compo is impressive. "Geo Wars" "plop invaders" (in french only :(), "Worms War online" :)
A lot of impressive works by a lot of french coders but also some other. - GreyIOutcast, on 12/05/2008, -0/+0xblaster's statement is correct. PSP and DS are, despite both being handhelds, entirely different. PSP is a more simple idea, aiming for power, while the DS aims for gameplay and innovation. Plus, comparing PSP homebrew to DS homebrew based on power is one terrible review, considering there is a lot more to a game than looks alone.
Proof: If looks alone won, then Vista would be the best operating system ever.
Also, I happened to find the game and get it onto my EDGE, it's a lot of fun. It's a simple style of gameplay, but it looks great, plays well, and the controls work great. Awesome job.
