- Axas, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17The Super Mario World ones are by far the best. Its funny seeing what could have been.
- diggNewton, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10I think it is the most completely realized game of all time. Remember the "top secret area"?
- Splitt3rxx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+9dugg for SMW, I am surprised it was so similar to SMB3 in it's early stages. It was such an amazing game.
- dawgma, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Yeah, looks like they really tightened up those graphics in the end.
- grumbel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Now if only Nintendo would release some of these on the Wii (History Channel ;-)...
- chingy1788, on 10/12/2007, -1/+5I would of liked to see beta screens of "new super mario bros", which they kept the super cape or raccoon mario in there... would of been so useful
- mccarron, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4I would pay money to play that Beta of SMW. It looks interesting, almost a new game maybe? It doesn't appear to ever have leaked though.
- TheTjalian, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3I love how you say "Don't do blogspam!" and then refer to the site that has ripped off the most amount of people since eBaum's world. Unseen64 sucks ass.
- Adampalooza, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Magikoopa in MK64? Nice.

Level 3, right? - Pac56, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It actually looks like it as being developed for the NES and then they decided to put it on the SNES.
- TheTjalian, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@Cyber Akuma
I'd say the Debug ROM for Ocarina of Time contains a rather good amount of beta. Hell, there's even quite a bit of beta in the OoT ROM itself... - Cyber_Akuma, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"It looks interesting, almost a new game maybe? It doesn't appear to ever have leaked though."
Ever notice how the more drastic/different a beta is, the less likely it will be leaked?
I have seen hundreds of betas where the only difference was maybe a different name here and there and some bugs, and if you are lucky a highly unifinished never used area. But the betas that contained entirely new areas, levels, even items and gameplay mechanics almost never make it out. Like the magikoopa Mario Kart 64, Sonic Xtreme, the beta of Sonic 2 that had that desert level with the crocodile-like robots, the Super Mario World pictured in there, etc. - Cyber_Akuma, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Quite interesting, I never knew about magikoopa in Mario Kart 64, wonder what his special would have been if he had made it to double dash.
However, as far as beta shots sites go, this is very simple. I have seen sites with an incredibly larger amount of detail and screenshots for single games alone (Sonic betas seem to be popular among this crowd, especially sonic 2 and sonic cd).
Just how many revisions did the power meter in Mario 64 go through? I have a beta video somewhere that im pretty sure shows another version of the power meter. - Luigi182, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Wow, pretty cool stuff. Somehow, I remember seeing those early shots of SMW in a Nintendo Power magazine a very long time ago...
- dasdef, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1eat *****!!!!!
- Klarth, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2The article states that Stage Debut was a 64DD title.
Wrong. It was a GCN title and it was going to use the Game Eye peripheral (essentially a Game Boy Camera for GBA). The GBA in one of the screens should make this obvious enough. - hadak, on 10/12/2007, -3/+3I've known about the SMW screenshots for some time now, however finding a rom of it is impossible. Anyone have any better luck?
- themastersb, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Too bad there weren't any roms of these around... unless someone wants to prove me wrong.
- decoyegheist, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0nice one this is great keep it up...
- Raven2002, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0I loved Mario, I wish some updated versions would come out on the PC platform. I might even log off EQ2 for a while to play!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1I think they look great, one thing I wish games had was more button mapping ( so you can configure the buttons to your liking) graphics and interface are always superb in Nintendo games.
- DeathRay2K, on 10/12/2007, -12/+5Meh, this has been on Digg at least once before.
