- sleepless, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Actually, Mario is legally able to drink in Japan. Japan's drinking age is only 20. American sailors love that, too. ;-)
- sTiVo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Of course, Luigi gets shafted...
- Gavin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I dont get it..
- LocutusUSN, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Regardless of the crappy forum link, Mario rules. He's precisely 5 years younger than me.. *tear* He's like a younger brother. ;-) Happy B-day bro!
- torrentado, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Shine get!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Stupid commercials... A controller and some mario sounds.. then he dies.. hooray happy birthday? C'mon Nintendo.. Can't you do better than that? Maybe I should come work for you..

- mushoo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Because he's the same age as me, and it sucks that I can't drink, even though I don't like booze.
- Mongoose, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0What about Luigi? Jesus, if anybody's gotten the short end of the stick in life, it's him.

And for the love of god... Stop making people go though your forums to read the news... - sarasweet, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Happy happy Mario! You haven't aged a day.
For you: http://media.ebaumsworld.com/index.php?e=marioguitar.wmv - generalleoff, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0The NES was released in Japan in 1983.
Mario first showed up in 1981 in Donkey Kong but was named Jump Man and he was a carpenter. In 1982 in the Game and Watch version of Donkey Kong he was officially named Mario but he was still a carpenter.
In 1983 Mario got his brother Luigi and changed jobs to plumber in Mario Brothers.
In 1985 he with Super Mario Bros. the character as we know him today was born and this is the character that Nintendo is celebrating. This is really about the 20th anniversary of the Super Mario Bros. game though.
Mario is actually 24. - tehvsx, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I BETTER CELEBRATE
- slapout, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0How could Mario be 20? The NES was released in 1985 in the US (and before that in Japan I believe.) And NES made games with Mario in them (although he may not have had a name at the time) for the Atari 2600!
- whiteacid, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Holy crap, me and mario were born on the same day!
- FunkyGuy, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Holy *****, this guys 20 and playing with little kids?
- enderclone, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0In Canada MArio could have started drinking 2 yeas ago.... Why the hell are we talking about the legal drinking age of a fictional game charachter?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1I love blocking out lamers who complain about links to blogs and forums LOL
