- felchdonkey, on 10/12/2007, -1/+11I hear PriceRitePhoto can get you one for $15,999 with a great deal on an extended warranty...
- Trjn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Unfortunately it sounds like they've tried to overcomplicate it, coins giving speed boosts, hidden moves (most likely red/blue sparks) and 57 items. . . which sounds like just too many, I like the small amount in use in the current incarnations, makes it easier for the casual player to learn to use them effectively.
Sounds tempting, but if I want to play my friends in a racing game, I have to go with the one that we've all played a fair bit of, to have an even start.
DAYTONA! ^^ - dewdrinker19, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I played one of these bad boys in Santa Rosa, Ca. It was at Scandia Fun Center. VERY HARD to steer, and you only have a total of 3 items per race. it picks three out of the 57 to put in the item boxes. Strange game.
- merdeisel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i want one of these... seen it on ign like 3 months ago.
- z.unit, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0played this in tokyo, it was awesome. saw it here in the U.S. too which surprised the hell out of me.
- LazyBoy, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Doubt ill ever see one in the wild but its pretty cool.
- felchdonkey, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0But do they have it at COSTCO?
- gk128, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0I hope on of the major arcades in the aera pick one up...
- gdap, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0MSRP: $17,495
- EmileVictor, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Finally something to replace all those outdated daytona NASCAR racing machines. Man, they piss me off. I'd play this. XD

http://www.mediahug.com/ - jmducat, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Spam or not, I'd like to see a Google Maps mod that shows where you can find one of these.
- carguy84, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0no, it's not $17,495., call them and they'll give it to you for $17,200
- jwolf, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0At nearly $18,000, it's a bargain at twice the price!
- brewer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0$17K? I'll take two.
- sych0, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0eh, this has been out in japan for a while now
- Buddybot111, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0was that a joke?
- AnotherName, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0seems like they should've integrated all versions of mario kart ever released within the unit.
- blixel, on 10/12/2007, -0/+018 thousand dollars? Ummm.... talk about sticker shock.
- TimmyGUNZ, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Spam or not, this is f'n cool!
- mpeters13, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"I played one of these bad boys in Santa Rosa, Ca. It was at Scandia Fun Center. VERY HARD to steer, and you only have a total of 3 items per race. it picks three out of the 57 to put in the item boxes. Strange game."
Yes, agreed. Played at the family fun center here in Omaha, NE. Tracks are way too short also. - barnis, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i plyed this at the namco center in osaka the other day a few times. It was fun but nothing much different than the average driving game...besides being able to fling stuff at opponents and to take a low quality digital pic of yourself before racing begins...
- Cerberus047, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0i would buy one and get the biggest speaker system out there and rig it up to that so my neighbors couldnt sleep i shoot a turtle shell and the whole neighborhood shakes woooooohoooo
- KingChango, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"I hear PriceRitePhoto can get you one for $15,999 with a great deal on an extended warranty..."
hahahahahahaha, awesome comment. - DeVS, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Give a few years and Mame will play it,lol.
- Annorax, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0As sweet as that looks, $18,000? I'll take a real car.
- artemus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0"Nintendo HAS to release this for GameCube in 2006. There is no software coming out besides Zelda".
Uhh, you do realize that this is an arcade game, right? And that is was made by Namco, right? - mikeyeah, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0If I was rich this would definitely go on my "things I don't need but am going to buy anyway" list.
- joelzilla, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this game cost as much as my 97 toyota supra.
- mikeazorin, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0An arcade machine for over $3000? Forget about it.
- TheWalkingDude, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Pac-man in Mario Kart - Bitchin!
I had always hoped to see Mega Man or Sonic the Hedgehog in a Super Smash Brothers. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Wow. That's awesome. For those of you mentioning the price, you have to realize that this machine ISN'T FOR YOU. A place like the AMC theater in times square would most definitely shell out the cash for this game, as they would probobly charge $2.00 per game. Mario Kart is sure to be a HUGE draw.. They'd make back the $17K in a month on this (and all the other games people end up playing once they're in the arcade, or waiting for Mario Kart to free up). If I won the lottery though, I'd definitely add this in my home arcade.
- bchang, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0who needs a honda civic when you can have a kart.
- shamanking, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0this is as old as the ps3 is dead (which is very)
- patmfitz, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Hrmm... I actually prefer Crash Team Racing to Mario Cart; yes, it was a shameless rip-off but they tweaked it just right without messing up the gameplay.
- GodsHand, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Nintendo HAS to release this for GameCube in 2006. There is no software coming out besides Zelda.
- disruptor108, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0DUPE...
here's a better link with videos of gameplay: http://digg.com/gaming/Mario_Kart_goes_to_the_Arcade - EarthBoundX5, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0old?
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0Oh god, mario should go and burn in hell.
- babylonian, on 10/12/2007, -2/+0
- theblackgecko, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0I'd old news, no digg.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0This is SPAM. Stop digging it, you idiots, before more companies submit their products as "links".
