- topcat31, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Yeah, cos after playing violent video games I like to go and butcher children. Seriously - what percentage of manhunt players even leave the house, let alone butcher someone?
Oh yeah - and bring back carmageddon!!- HenvY, on 10/11/2007, -0/+2Boo for censorship. Britain is meant to be a liberal country, but this is a antiquated decision.
We may as well be in Pakistan. :/ - afzilla, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1This is ridiculous and if the rest of Europe get it, imports on ebay are gonna soar.
- Myonosken, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1It has an appeal to go through yet. But lets be fair, one banned game isn't time for calls of us no longer being liberal or censorship being rife. If they've allowed so many other games in, why did they block this one? Because it was linked to a murder? Now I have no idea about the case, so it may be yet another one where it's just blamed on it for no reason, but perhaps there were genuine concerns? It's not like the BBFC are pricks who ban anything violent- they do generally let nearly everything in.

- buddamus, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Yay we should also ban forks because I read somewhere that someone died from being stabbed with one.
oh and cars, they kill people, oh and slinkys - Foamator, on 10/11/2007, -1/+1FTA:
"The original Manhunt game caused huge controversy and was blamed for the murder of Stefan Pakeerah."
...by Jack Thompson, maybe?
Biased article and dumb decision by the BBFC.
If they continue to ban it there'll be an uproar. - theycallmefire, on 10/11/2007, -0/+1Its stupid when people say that if a game has this sort of content it should be the first to receive the blame when a real life tragedy occurs. The police even said that they found the game wasn't the cause. Yet people still think its the game's fault.
A game should never be held responsible (unless the game told you to go out and murder someone or whatever which is hardly likely), its the fault of the person who chooses to act out what the game may contain.
People are so narrow minded and stupid.
