- djnforce9, on 10/29/2009, -0/+5The first time you visit the hospital, yes (in order to get the elevator working). However, you visit the same area again near the end of the game (i.e. in the "nowhere" land) where you have to turn off the power in order to get the key which had an strong electrical current running through it.
For a toothbrush though, this idea no sense even from a Silent Hill perspective. Why would cutting the power be needed to get a toothbrush? Unless of course in his mind, it was behind a security door that could be forced open when the power was off. It must be one valuable toothbrush to be that well protected.
The only thing missing from this whole episode is something involving sirens. - ibdav, on 10/29/2009, -1/+6They didn't convict him.... so what did they do? Try to rehabilitate? Force him to go to a shrink for a while? He may have been misguided, but that doesn't mean he is fit to operate in society. I would imagine 45mins without power is quite a long time for people on ICU etc (mind I can't imagine them not having gensets / UPSs for more critical machinery).
