- opnickc, on 10/12/2007, -5/+185"Silly Maddox, PS3 bashing is not cool anymore."
He doesn't even mention the PS3. Way to RTFA. - ajb2015, on 10/12/2007, -22/+201I'm tired of Maddox's *****. He never updates anymore. It's about time.

The PS3 Sucks!
...Hmm. I still found that rather satisfying despite the lack of logic behind bashing an unreleased console. - ZeroMP, on 10/12/2007, -17/+113@ AzraelKans:
"[PS3] has double the features than other consoles..."
O RLY? And what are all of these extra features? Double you say?
"[PS3] totally sold out on launch date..."
I heard this is hard to do with half a million consoles, half of which will end up on eBay, and about 250,000 morons like you taking Sony's ***** at face value (see below)...
"[PS3] can be used as a PC..."
OOOOO... RLY? Sounds like somebody has been reading a few too many Sony press releases just a little bit too seriously. Enjoy your "PC" with all 256 Mb of ram. It will be almost as fun as using the PC I had my freshman year in college - 2001.
"Free xbox live like service."
I think the Jury is still out on this one. No telling how good or bad this service is yet!
"Oh yeah.. is a disaster waiting to happen. Sony should pull out now."
If my calculations are correct your father should have pulled out about 13 years and 9 months ago. - rmany2k, on 10/12/2007, -4/+87@ museo
I shouldn't have to buy an extended warranty to insure that my console is going to continue to read disks. That is one of it's prime functions, it should just do it.
My original Xbox works fine and always has, but PS2 on the other hand... - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -6/+80"Tough ***** Sony. We've moved on. We're dating your younger, hotter sister, Wii. Even your fuglier step-sister, Xbox 360, looks hotter than you do. At least she's been around the block a few times and knows how to turn tricks. You've got nothing, and it's going to stay that way until you stop being a crabby old *****."
HA! - Grimdotdotdot, on 10/12/2007, -16/+79He's too busy writing books to update, like Tucker and Belle.
Still, The Alphabet Of Manliness *was* cool... - GuyHersh, on 10/12/2007, -10/+72Some people buying the PS3 have brains. They're the ones that buy them and them sell them on ebay to those who are completely retarded and make a good profit. Thats what I'm doin anyway.
- emitemirp, on 10/12/2007, -5/+65Haven't you been reading Digg...it has been released?
- BobMysterioso, on 10/12/2007, -7/+63for that top image - worth the front page. FANTASTIC.
I was trying to explain Maddox to someone, and i just came off as some idiot trying to explain an funny SNL skit (there are some funny ones, sometimes, rarely.) - BigPapi, on 10/12/2007, -1/+49It's not just the PS3 that sucks, it's SONY who sucks.
My PS2 bit the dust 6 months after I bought it for the same optical lens problem that Maddox described. I called their customer service and they wanted $128 to have it fixed. I said no way. Then they asked for $64. I said "***** that!" Then $28. I said I refuse to pay anything. Then they offered to fix it for free. It was basically a game. If you kept asking to talk to the manager, then they'd do it for free. If you didn't think of doing that, then your only option was to buy a new PS2 or give them $128 to fix it. They probably made ***** of money just from that alone.
Maddox Rules. - Blitz1988, on 10/12/2007, -17/+63Well, he's right. :)
- krinthekuz, on 09/16/2008, -7/+52maddox is hilarious.
and i totally agree that sony is *****. i boycotted them years ago when they told me to ***** off and wouldn't honor the warranty on a $350 mp3 player. - Wratherin, on 10/12/2007, -8/+50Then stop wasting your time on Digg and go get a life.
- PacoDG, on 10/12/2007, -2/+43"View Page Source" for a couple of tidbits:

0 1 hate sony tired of *****
mother ***** sony thugs bleem bleem! *****
dumbass ***** moron stupid idiot damn really lame go to hell fatass
make me sick hate - freff, on 10/12/2007, -2/+37I didn't think it felt forced at all. He lays out pretty much every grievance against Sony that I have right now. I used to buy Sony's stuff purely by default without thinking about it, but never again. I know many like myself. They've pissed off alot of people through arrogance and by simply not caring about their consumers. He didn't even go into the fact that their regular electronic goods are overpriced for subpar quality.
- chicken101, on 10/12/2007, -3/+30Azrael got ***** owned.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+27GTA: Liberty City Stories and GTA: Vice City Stories are the two greatest examples of Sony pressuring their game developers to churn out ***** for their stupid PSP. I run a major GTA fan site that has been around for five years, and I detest the release of these two recycled MODS of games.
- GuyHersh, on 10/12/2007, -10/+35Washed up? He posted the article today and already has over 11 thousand views? Sorry.. you're wrong
Edit. Make that 14 thousand. 3 thousand have read it since I did 5 minutes ago. - Sartori, on 10/12/2007, -2/+25For people with long memories, every console maker that's been on top has had the same problem - too much power leads to arrogance, which results in being brought back down with a bump. Happened to Atari, Nintendo, Sega, and now it's Sony's turn. Atari didn't learn from it, and have vanished in meaningful terms. Nintendo learned after the N64 and the GC that they'd have to appeal to more people, and it looks like the Wii will do well as a result. Sega's big problem was the Saturn, sadly the DC didn't last long enough to redeem them. MS have watched from the sidelines and seem to be doing a good job so far.
The question is, have Sony learned from their mistakes so far with PS3? - krackle, on 10/12/2007, -2/+24I don't have any Brian's and I'm not getting a PS3, but I may be consider to have brains, who knows. Still no PS3.
Please people learn to spell, it helps everyone. - z0l0pht, on 10/12/2007, -2/+22shanesemler: trust me, you and wild are the odd ones out. Maddox is a huge internet presence and has been for over a decade. It blows my mind every time someone that's been using the internet for >10 years doesn't know about him.
- ZenMojo, on 10/12/2007, -19/+39He's just mad because he caught Sony giving me head.
- Hortnon, on 10/12/2007, -9/+26Looks like more than a few people didn't get the reference...that saddens me.
- IzeasGT, on 10/12/2007, -1/+18"Well, he's right. :)"
That's the thing with Maddox. I don't like him. At all. But he's right far more often than I'd like to admit - even when I *agree* with him. - DangerMouse9, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1619 out of 20 Brians agree "No to Sony"
- Systembomber, on 10/12/2007, -1/+17Please =)
- clownguyx, on 10/12/2007, -5/+21For the people taking shots at Maddox:
1. He doesn't make any ad revenue from his website, despite the 100,000,000 plus hits has received since starting it. He never sold out.
2. No fancy graphics, tables, CSS, or Web 2.0 *****. He relies solely on his content and his own graphics that he writes using VI.
3. Maybe he doesn't update as frequently because he has nothing to say or is just busy with other projects. He doesn't owe it to you to update.
4. When was the last time you wrote anything that was half as good as the worst post on his page? - tate6566, on 10/12/2007, -4/+18Even their TV's suck, Samsung is where its at.
- DangerMouse9, on 10/12/2007, -3/+15What else were you going to do with those 2 minutes? Jerk off to anime?
- Systembomber, on 10/12/2007, -10/+23Best article I've read all day.
- logomancer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12I don't believe this is all just your run-of-the-mill, we've-been-on-top-for-years arrogance. Sony's been making the same mistake for over 20 years now -- namely, that of putting all their money on proprietary formats and blindly assuming the customer would get locked into their expensive hardware. Every time, this has failed -- Betamax, MiniDisc, Memory Stick, ATRAC3, SACD, UMD -- and they don't learn from their mistakes. In this instance, Sony has been in fiascos left and right, making asses of themselves in the press and the eyes of the gaming community.
I think Sony's failing proprietary strategy will bite them in the ass this time. I hope they learn their lesson and either get behind more widely used media standards or offer more to the consumer in exchange for locking them into proprietary media. - Nobi-Wan, on 10/12/2007, -4/+16No he doesn't. PS3 or Playstation 3 isn't mentioned once in the entire article. He mentions Wii and Xbox 360, but sorry...no PS3 to be found.
- dokbeast7, on 10/12/2007, -0/+11"One of the Sony BMGs handled the [rootkit] situation with the delicacy of a gang rape..." It's so hard not to like maddox.
- enforcerpsu, on 10/12/2007, -1/+12Maddox, love him or hate him typically makes very good points. This "rant" is dead on.
- tjdoom, on 10/12/2007, -7/+17I love Maddox's website, but I think he's slowly losing his touch.
- DangerMouse9, on 10/12/2007, -3/+12RFTA he never mentions the PS3 at all.
Here is what he mentions:
Rootkits
PSP (Lik Sang, etc.)
PS2 Crappy Laser
Before acting like the god of the internet you should know what you're talking about. - digitalrift, on 10/12/2007, -4/+13I have to agree maddox is ***** insane, but almost all his articles hit the nail on the head. don't ***** with pirates.
- theOster, on 10/12/2007, -9/+18Terrorism/911:
http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.net/c.cgi?u=911_morons
(i particularly like the folded $100 dollar bill conspiracy)
nothing about rabies... - jtdgrz, on 10/12/2007, -5/+13It's just another division of the same company. Bad management will always have the same result.
- jonshipman, on 10/12/2007, -1/+9too much porn eh?
- PacoDG, on 10/12/2007, -2/+10Its Maddox. Some know of him, some don't, but no matter if he was on digg or not, he would have made many of hits with his new post just because he posts far less frequently than he has in the past.
Also, I believe he is the saddest cave man http://www.saddestcaveman.com/ - jon3k, on 10/12/2007, -3/+11No, he would write an article about beating your ass and post it on his website.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+9"This page was made using vi in unix. Anything else is for failures."
This is exactly why I love MADDOX. He doesn't mess around. Plus he has funny html comments buried in all his pages. - Lobut, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7@gxcdesign
That's a flawed argument.
You're bitching about someone else bitching about Sony on the Internet. We're all guilty of it.
Geez, I mean to reapply your logic. If you don't like what he writes, you don't have to read it. - Thorlord, on 10/12/2007, -6/+13the guy is completely insane, but he is completely correct on the sony issue.
- Paroparo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+7Well duh. Besides, how do you think they managed over 100 million units shipped? Everyone having to replace their's once or twice of course. -_-
- jmdajr, on 10/12/2007, -2/+8Maddox upset about something?
HOW CAN THAT BE!? - mrRB, on 10/12/2007, -2/+7And yet, none of that wall of text changes the fact that he said jack about the PS3. He's talking about Sony itself.
