- digg it
- dampcloth, on 11/10/2007, -75/+305Buried for using the word EVER
- SonicRush, on 10/29/2007, -14/+30Ditto. Out of all of the games of Halo 3 that have been played and will ever be played in this universe, there is bound to be a kill luckier than this one.
- gbro, on 10/29/2007, -5/+102Yes, but will it happen to a guy with video editing skills?
- texpundit, on 10/29/2007, -23/+2Editing skills: yes.
The intelligence to know that 99% of the audience knew what happened after the first minute, thus not needing the 400,000 different camera angles: no.
I still dugg this because of the music. :)- smacksaw, on 10/25/2007, -5/+3Hell, I say bury it for the music OR the word "ever"
- meez, on 10/24/2007, -6/+5Editng skills? There was no sync whatsoever.
You obviously have never seen a Quake3 movie, or a movie by shaolin productions.- rompom7, on 10/25/2007, -0/+8Skills doesn't mean good skills.
(still, shaolin productions movies are rad)
- rompom7, on 10/25/2007, -0/+8Skills doesn't mean good skills.
- texpundit, on 10/29/2007, -23/+2Editing skills: yes.
- Fitness03, on 10/25/2007, -4/+9Comment buried for using the word Ditto
- seventoes, on 10/28/2007, -0/+3Ditt- I mean yeah.
- gbro, on 10/29/2007, -5/+102Yes, but will it happen to a guy with video editing skills?
- jun2san, on 11/05/2007, -14/+157Actually....dugg for not using EVAR
- supermanred, on 10/24/2007, -15/+20Yeah I was expecting more of a mousetrap like kill, but still pretty cool to be able to capture all those angles and review a single kill like that off a console. You cant even do that in any shooter on a 7,000 dollar PC right now in any game without custom software. Kudos to Bungee and I hope other game makers take notice. THIS IS FUN!!! I wish I could have done it two nights ago when playing Team Fortress Two as I killed 8 people with 5 rockets, it was hilarious. If I could review the match and record it, it would have been an epic 5 rockets.
- acdcfanbill, on 10/27/2007, -1/+14Quake 3 and Q3 based games have all had rather robust demo recording capabilities. Granted, Halo 3 does have some new features, but you can do practically all of that stuff in Q3. Look at some of the highly rated videos on www.own-age.com to see what good editors are capable of from q3 and other games.
- Juntistik, on 10/27/2007, -1/+6I may be wrong but doesn't Q3 only record the First person view of the demos only? Halo 3 uses the game data so you can take whatever angle you want, and it automatically records every game.
- meez, on 10/24/2007, -0/+4Q3 does have MVD's or multi-view-demos that show all players. But even without MVD's and just clientside demos, thanks to the fact that q3 is opensource there are many tools like q3mme that have some insane tools, far better than Halo 3 can do
- Yoshi39, on 10/25/2007, -1/+12Battlefield 2 which is a couple of years old has this exact feature
- Twelve-60, on 10/24/2007, -1/+7What are you on about, HL2 (especially CS:S, but also including TF2) have had demo recording facilities for years..
- GawtMilk, on 10/25/2007, -1/+8Uh, dude...there are hundreds of games like this. Counter-Strike could do this since the start...there are mods like "Half-Life TV" [or "Source TV" for Source games].
- meez, on 10/24/2007, -0/+2Hell, even the original Quake had demo recording features.
- phronko, on 10/24/2007, -0/+1The original DOOM had demo recording features.
Wolfenstein? Can anyone confirm it goes back to that?
Zork?
- chrismgtis, on 10/25/2007, -1/+1Killing 8 people with 1 rocket wouldn't even be all that interesting. I remember in the original TF as a sniper I could kill people jumping off a third story above me where I couldn't see them within something like .05 seconds of seeing them. That was funny as hell, but still nothing amazing. The funny part was seeing them explode in mid air with a sniper shot.
- ophello, on 10/25/2007, -0/+12Damn those Guardians...
- DontEatTheFish, on 10/24/2007, -0/+7nope... it was the bullets the made gravity, with the help of a grav lift, kill him... blame gravity...
YOU WIN AGAIN GRAVITY!!!
- DontEatTheFish, on 10/24/2007, -0/+7nope... it was the bullets the made gravity, with the help of a grav lift, kill him... blame gravity...
- tjkisst, on 10/24/2007, -2/+5You used it too, so bury...
- SuperWinner, on 10/25/2007, -21/+6Is it just me or does Halo3 look Exactly like Halo2, just with some trees added?
- Acglaphotis, on 10/24/2007, -1/+8it is just you.
- BestJaxx, on 10/25/2007, -0/+2Slightly off topic, and Halo 3 is way better on a graphics perspective.
- SiNN4R, on 10/24/2007, -0/+2You won the battle but you'll never win the war.
- eyefork, on 10/24/2007, -3/+6Dugg down for making another lame-ass over-used comment about the use of words in the title and/or description.
- bentrinh, on 10/26/2007, -2/+1Dugg down? You mean buried? 'Cause I'm not it's psychically possible to dig something down
- BestJaxx, on 10/24/2007, -0/+1Dugg you, but you are proving eyefork's point.
- protogenxl, on 10/25/2007, -2/+4The traffic cone kill that was on digg last week was much better
- BestJaxx, on 10/24/2007, -0/+2Amen, I would like to see Mythbusters test to see if that cone could have killed someone in real life if it was going the same speed.
- brundlefly76, on 10/27/2007, -0/+1Probably not the luckiest kill ever, but definitely close enough that I will give him a pass on it - the video was well done.
- SonicRush, on 10/29/2007, -14/+30Ditto. Out of all of the games of Halo 3 that have been played and will ever be played in this universe, there is bound to be a kill luckier than this one.
- dsmatrix, on 11/01/2007, -5/+93Wow. You dont see that everyday. :|
- lansuggs, on 10/25/2007, -3/+37Haha, so true. These freaks of gameplay prob happen all the time in various games. It is only now, with Halo 3's great review tool, and the sheer number of people paying that we will see these more and more often, eh.
- meez, on 10/24/2007, -6/+3Halo 3's "review tool" is not a new thing. :(
- MtheoryX, on 10/25/2007, -0/+8I believe he said "Halo 3's great review tool" not "Halo 3's new review tool."
Your comment is like downplaying effective scenes created with Final Cut because non-linear editing is not new.
- MtheoryX, on 10/25/2007, -0/+8I believe he said "Halo 3's great review tool" not "Halo 3's new review tool."
- meez, on 10/24/2007, -6/+3Halo 3's "review tool" is not a new thing. :(
- wild, on 10/24/2007, -0/+2This is why my friends and I always found GTA so addicting. Because its full of the same randomness. While I was chasing the guy in the last mission of San Andreas a random plane fell out of the sky and crushed him.
GTA needs to steal this from Halo... - namelessperson, on 10/24/2007, -0/+4Who gets credit for the kill in this? the guy shooting the gun on the warthog?
- lansuggs, on 10/25/2007, -3/+37Haha, so true. These freaks of gameplay prob happen all the time in various games. It is only now, with Halo 3's great review tool, and the sheer number of people paying that we will see these more and more often, eh.
- stealth45, on 10/26/2007, -4/+85That was pretty damn unusual.
- keithmcbride, on 10/25/2007, -1/+22that was cooler than the famous plasma grenade-in-the-lift stick video
- chedabob, on 10/25/2007, -0/+7But not as good as the guy that shot a barrel on The Pit, which caused the cone in front of it to fly towards him and smack him in the face.

- chedabob, on 10/25/2007, -0/+7But not as good as the guy that shot a barrel on The Pit, which caused the cone in front of it to fly towards him and smack him in the face.
- impedance101, on 10/25/2007, -0/+6What kind of kill was that? Did it count as a suicide?
- MtheoryX, on 10/24/2007, -0/+1Freak accident or act of god.
- rrasco, on 10/25/2007, -0/+4I'm pretty sure the gunner got it, when you interact with stuff like that you end up getting the kill. Just like shooting a fusion core when they are next to it, you never actually hurt them, but it kills them. Same goes for knocking them off ledges, or actually, throwing them threw the man cannon as seen here. It was unique that it happened to get shot once with the turret and fall in, but we intentionally throw those things through the man cannon daily.
- keithmcbride, on 10/25/2007, -1/+22that was cooler than the famous plasma grenade-in-the-lift stick video
- K4P741NxKRUNCH, on 11/14/2007, -5/+346I bet bungie put those barrels there strictly for that purpose
- eternal464, on 10/25/2007, -0/+19it is kinda obvious i think. they were just waiting for people to use those. soon you'll see experienced players avoiding that one spot in the middle of a seemly empty field.
- EXreaction, on 10/25/2007, -9/+5I actually did that in Forge on Epitaph...
I placed Fusion Coils all around the map (well, as much as I could with the limit :() then put 4 below the big grav lift. After they set their final respawn point I put a portable grav lift below those 4, which lifted them all up and launched them creating a great chain reaction!
Actually, it's in my fileshare, or at least, an older version is...
http://www.bungie.net/stats/Halo3/FileShare.aspx?g ... - chedabob, on 10/25/2007, -0/+6I've seen people modify the spawn point of the barrel to turn it into a mini-mortar, and then strategically place grav lifts to throw the barrel across the map into the other base.
- devila2208, on 11/01/2007, -56/+16Cool. But how did they get all those views?
- sparkmonkeyz, on 10/26/2007, -11/+37There is a theater mode where you can watch I believe 20 of your last played games, from any perspective. How do you not know this already?
- slamtv7, on 10/25/2007, -3/+30Thats really amazing technology :| Wow, I did not know this as I do not have Halo 3, but 20 past games, any perspective??? Dammmn!
- daEvan, on 10/25/2007, -25/+4Where have you been for the past few months? People (on Digg at least) who haven't even played any Halo game are well aware of the playback abilities on Halo 3.
- logandurand, on 10/25/2007, -0/+1It's hardly a matter of technology, Bungie just realized that people wanted a way to playback saved games. Many games have been done this.
- shreveyboy, on 10/30/2007, -5/+33I'm sorry, but why be such an ass to someone who simply wanted to know the answer to a question. Stop using your knowledge as if you hold some sort of superiority. It's cowardly.
- cjh24, on 10/24/2007, -1/+3my thoughts exactly
- spudnic, on 10/24/2007, -1/+3Exactly... I was about to ask the same thing as the OP.
Never owned an Xbox, not into Halo. Why would I know this?
Getting dugg down that much for a reasonable question politely asked really shows something about Digg. - Beakerz, on 10/24/2007, -1/+5Looks like to me that he was not being and ass in any way, i had to re-read a couple of times to make sure but i still see no assiness..
- cjh24, on 10/24/2007, -0/+1It may have been a genuine question... But i don't see many of those on-line. Commenting on someone's knowledge is usually taken as sacrasm, methinks.
- Whaines, on 10/25/2007, -0/+6Actually, it has the last 20 available in it's cache and additionally you can save up to 100 i think to your storage device. The cache clears when you put in a new game, (like you'd do that) so be sure to save any films you want to keep!
- slamtv7, on 10/25/2007, -3/+30Thats really amazing technology :| Wow, I did not know this as I do not have Halo 3, but 20 past games, any perspective??? Dammmn!
- BestJaxx, on 10/25/2007, -2/+2Is the term "energy sword" new to you as well?
- devila2208, on 11/04/2007, -1/+1I don't have Halo 3 and never played Halo 2 so I didn't know you could do all that stuff. Pretty cool though.
- BestJaxx, on 11/05/2007, -1/+1My dad knows this stuff, and he has never played any Halo game.

- BestJaxx, on 10/25/2007, -0/+2Was for the killer, and for us.
- Cloud7654, on 10/25/2007, -0/+4..of warcraft?
- StatiK69, on 10/27/2007, -3/+33Gotta love the use of environmental variables. Things like this, planned or not, assuming you're not the victim, make games more interesting.
- jbhannah, on 10/25/2007, -0/+8There've been far more odd environmental kills so far in Halo 3—barrels, traffic cones, demolished Warthogs—than there ever were in Halo 2's whole lifespan.

- lime148, on 10/27/2007, -1/+13Exploding barrels? New to FPS games?
- EvaBehemoth, on 10/25/2007, -8/+3Or leave it to them to reiterate something Valve did years ago...
- BKred, on 11/07/2007, -4/+316You know, I must say that if nothing else I'm continually impressed by the camera work one can do with these Halo 3 replays. All those camera angles, over and over again! I wasn't convinced the first time I saw it, but by the fifth time I definitely was!!
- Audacitor, on 10/27/2007, -0/+26Halo 3 == Machinimatographer's dream
- meez, on 10/24/2007, -6/+1Except for the obvious fact that all the models/skins cannot be changed and that there are other games with better demo manipulation features.
- firecaptain, on 10/25/2007, -12/+7sarcasm rocks.
- MrScience, on 10/24/2007, -0/+2Irony FTW.
- Djchicken, on 10/25/2007, -5/+15No, sarcasm ***** sucks.
- kamikaze87, on 10/24/2007, -1/+5I can't tell if you are being sarcastic or not. But since I like sarcasm I'll digg you up.....but then again, maybe I'm being sarcastic about digging you up and I'm really going to digg you down! You'll never know! Muhahah.
- Audacitor, on 10/27/2007, -0/+26Halo 3 == Machinimatographer's dream

- umrgregg, on 10/25/2007, -0/+5The track is "The Blood Of Cu Chulainn" from the album 'A Celtic Romance: The Legend of Lladain and Curithur' by Mychael & Jeff Danna. It's a great album! And The Boondock Saints is a good movie too.
- Hockey13, on 10/24/2007, -0/+1Thanks!
- DiggMasterJ, on 10/25/2007, -0/+16Halo 3 video capture is definitely the best of any game. By far.
- meez, on 10/24/2007, -7/+3No, no, no and no. Your ignorance is annoying. It's not a new thing and it is nowhere near the best.
q3mme is lightyears ahead of this, and it's older. Please stop hyping Bungie, it's almost as bad as the people that praise valve for being "oh so original" with Team Fortress 2. - chedabob, on 10/24/2007, -0/+4Hopefully in the future they make it into something like Skate has, where you can render the video and upload it to the internet to share with people that don't have access to a 360.
- Vapor17, on 10/25/2007, -1/+1ummmm, i'm pretty sure u just watched it on a PC.....

- NiGHTSChao, on 10/27/2007, -51/+15Why do people even submit this stupid *****?
- nightmare1228, on 11/01/2007, -9/+183The traffic cone was better.

but you can say CWNED!
- StandardsDT, on 10/27/2007, -7/+29I still think the Killer Cone is better than this.
- solofroglet, on 10/24/2007, -0/+1I don't know, that sticky was pretty cool.
- Vexion, on 10/24/2007, -14/+5Manning drops back into the pocket, looks deep. He fires downfield...
- Rockmaninoff, on 10/24/2007, -3/+2But he's sacked while throwing the ball, a defensive player tips it, and there's an interception that's run back for a touchdown?
At least that's what it looked like to me.
- Rockmaninoff, on 10/24/2007, -3/+2But he's sacked while throwing the ball, a defensive player tips it, and there's an interception that's run back for a touchdown?
- Skanadian, on 11/01/2007, -26/+76I should start submitting a video every time I get a funny kill in Counter-Strike, UT3, or Team Fortress 2.
- Hoov, on 10/29/2007, -4/+35What's stopping you?
- Skanadian, on 10/26/2007, -3/+1It won't get Dugg because there isn't a legion of TF2, CS, or UT fanboys that equal the ignorance of the Halo 3 fanboys.
- SSCrow, on 10/29/2007, -4/+20Good luck recording that replay.
- Daiken, on 10/25/2007, -3/+3Well, there are no grenades and it's hard for environmental variables to kill you in CS and TF2. I guess there's a lot of vehicular stuff in UT3, but I doubt it there as well.
- bj00rn, on 10/25/2007, -1/+1Aww...
- Hoov, on 10/29/2007, -4/+35What's stopping you?

- Saea, on 10/27/2007, -9/+35I think the new viewing option in Halo 3 is one of the cooler features.
Ever.- zointax, on 10/25/2007, -5/+2Although I prefer CS by far, it does seem much smoother than HLTV.
- JenadaeXX, on 10/25/2007, -5/+2i do believe this is one of the ONLY features Halo 3 brought to the table... stale..
- Timmaay, on 10/24/2007, -7/+1Whoa, cool... I guess...
- supermanred, on 11/01/2007, -4/+60The review/movie system in Halo 3 is unprecedented for a console. I love it. Being able to replay game action in HD like that is awesome. Machinma for Halo 3 is going to be off the fricking wall.
- logandurand, on 11/01/2007, -4/+1"HD"? Quit using the buzzwords, that term means nothing in this case. As for "unprecedented", games have done this before, albeit not to the extent Halo 3 has.
- Superthug, on 10/29/2007, -9/+35Dugg for Boondock Saints theme song.
- LaughingDjinn, on 10/24/2007, -0/+1Thank you! I knew the music but could not for the life of me remember where it was from.

- jhshukla, on 10/25/2007, -4/+14I liked the sticky grenade more than this one.
- cintek, on 10/27/2007, -49/+7THIS IS FRONT PAGE ***** NEWS? When did DIGG become a site for little kiddies to post how cool they think are by playing a game? Was this site not originally set up for news, information & public opinion? Posting ANYTHING about how awesome you think you are is just plain stupid. Want to brag about it then start your own site/blog and rant all you want. Otherwise you just look retarded, and are wasting other peoples time.
- jikai55, on 10/27/2007, -4/+22No one is making you click on this.

- cintek, on 10/25/2007, -25/+1NO ***** moron, thank you.
- tbunreal, on 10/24/2007, -1/+9He's not really wasting peoples time, your wasting your own time for viewing and commenting about something you don't want to see. If you don't care, then don't bother watching it.

- mIRCxxdc, on 10/25/2007, -0/+1Uh, he said viewing and commenting. Which is exactly what you did. He didn't assume that you watched it, Idiot. In your own words, you are "plain stupid".

- ophello, on 10/24/2007, -2/+14if it is staged, you go and you repeat it.
its probably not staged. - zmjone2992, on 10/24/2007, -1/+6you are stupid
- ophello, on 10/24/2007, -2/+14if it is staged, you go and you repeat it.
- carpespasm, on 10/24/2007, -12/+3I still don't get why when you're killed, your dead body "swims" through the air until it's rolled across the ground some.
- tbunreal, on 10/24/2007, -0/+12so when your dead, you have something to entertain you for those 5 seconds =]
- EXreaction, on 10/24/2007, -0/+2Or why your body floats in water...doesn't that armor weigh around 2 tons?
Ah who cares...- Firehed, on 10/24/2007, -0/+10If I was wearing two tons of armor, I'd be pretty friggen pissed if a barrel kills me.

- Ricker888, on 10/24/2007, -1/+1It is from the movie Boondock Saints
- cjserio, on 10/24/2007, -1/+7Just thought i'd share the results of my 45 minutes of hunting....It's called "The Blood Of Cu Chulainn" by Mychael Danna/Jeff Danna
- g2g079, on 10/24/2007, -1/+10direct video link http://gameroom.mlgpro.com/p.swf?video_id=awsulpP0 ... mirror needed
- FellOffACliff, on 10/25/2007, -5/+19Dugg for the music.
- eOgas, on 10/27/2007, -9/+59this is obviously photoshopped...
- psykiv, on 10/24/2007, -4/+8You mean "digitally manipulated using... " ah ***** it.
- moortux, on 10/24/2007, -5/+1That would be a reference to
http://xkcd.com/331/ ?
Nice cartoons there, every now and then.- Shakermaker, on 10/26/2007, -0/+5Congrats on getting the joke.
- johnyquest, on 10/24/2007, -2/+1LOL... this whole string just cracked me up. Might it, in itself, also be photoshopped?
- BestJaxx, on 10/24/2007, -0/+1Ok, now it's getting old.
- scyform, on 11/05/2007, -8/+132Dugg for having background music better than 99% of other halo videos
- nedaf7, on 10/24/2007, -3/+5The song's called "The Blood of Cuchulainn'. It was also played at the beginning of "The Boondock Saints".
- ohsin, on 10/24/2007, -0/+1thanx
- GeneralGore, on 10/24/2007, -0/+5What are you talking about? I never get tired of hearing Ready Steady Go.

- aramova, on 10/24/2007, -2/+3Priceless, and a great job on the video.
- ben4prezadent, on 10/25/2007, -2/+8i always tried pushing that barrel onto an unlucky victim but it never worked
- Subvexer, on 10/27/2007, -2/+49The Halo 3 replay engine kicks ass. Take notes, Rockstar.
- pozitron, on 10/24/2007, -0/+2Dugg your comment up. I completly agree, Rockstar should steal, copy, re-innovate (or whatever else you want to call it) that technology into their games. Welcome to a new age of Machinima. Good call man!
- Flashtone, on 10/24/2007, -10/+5staged.. they obviously were going for a double kill.
- feckineejit, on 10/24/2007, -10/+4the barrel is an environmental hazard, the guy was in the wrong place/wrong time, why is this funny?
- LegomanArt, on 10/24/2007, -2/+1Yeah, seriously. It doesn't seem like that big of a deal. What's actually strange is that someone would NOT realize that it was a barrel that killed them.
- Firehed, on 10/25/2007, -1/+8A barrel that fell from the roof after being accidentally shot by a machine gunner into an accelerator that went flying through the air and crashed into your face? That's not especially likely.
- LegomanArt, on 10/25/2007, -0/+2You've seen some of the other more interesting Halo 3 happenings, haven't you? All I'm saying is that this pales in comparison.
- Firehed, on 10/25/2007, -1/+8A barrel that fell from the roof after being accidentally shot by a machine gunner into an accelerator that went flying through the air and crashed into your face? That's not especially likely.
- lowerlogic, on 10/24/2007, -0/+6it has a low probability of happening
- D14BL0, on 10/24/2007, -0/+7The fact that he WAS in the wrong place at the wrong time is what makes this funny.
- LegomanArt, on 10/24/2007, -2/+1Yeah, seriously. It doesn't seem like that big of a deal. What's actually strange is that someone would NOT realize that it was a barrel that killed them.
- TheJas, on 10/24/2007, -1/+9So wait, who gets credit for that kill?
- Daiken, on 10/24/2007, -0/+2Suicide by walking into barrel?
- visceroth, on 10/24/2007, -0/+0The person on the gunner gets the credit for the kill under the "Guardian" kill count.
- sgxyay, on 10/25/2007, -3/+17Boo! Comic Sans!
- twitchit, on 10/24/2007, -0/+0***** seriously.
- Labut, on 10/24/2007, -0/+1Can't believe that he used comic sans!
- compgeek, on 10/25/2007, -0/+6that was ***** hilarious just as funny as the suicide video on here a while back with the bullet rebounding off the wall
- digitalgreek, on 10/25/2007, -0/+5I love how in Halo you can do things like that. Like the guy who sniped himself! haha
- pastasauce, on 10/26/2007, -2/+17Pros: Decent editing
Cons: Use of "Ever"
Comic Sans
"LOL" "LMFAO" - jeremieboudreau, on 10/25/2007, -6/+2Even if it's staged... nice timing!
- acirrone, on 10/25/2007, -4/+6Anyone know how to get these videos from your 360 to the web? I have a funny one of me riding a wheelie on an ATV, but I can't figure out how to get it off of my hard drive....Let me know if you guys know how to do this.
- sethworld, on 10/25/2007, -0/+7you need to feed it to a video capture card on your computer. Then edit it. Then upload it.
- tradwolley, on 10/26/2007, -5/+40Also realize that your video really isn't funny.
- acirrone, on 10/24/2007, -0/+1It's actually not bad, you should check it out. It's in my file share - K3yB0ardW4rrior is my gamer tag.
- dualityone, on 10/25/2007, -1/+3Crikey, don't give away the secret or we'll be flooded with "funny" game videos!
- BrandonB1218, on 10/26/2007, -3/+4Buried for all these asshats who don't credit the music in their videos. I'm tired of scouring the intarwebs trying to find it!
- cjserio, on 10/24/2007, -0/+1It's called "The Blood Of Cu Chulainn" by Mychael Danna/Jeff Danna
- Massandro, on 10/31/2007, -0/+0thanks )) great saundtrack
- mhepco, on 10/24/2007, -1/+0If he were Dustin Pedroia's height, he'd be ok.
- D14BL0, on 10/26/2007, -0/+4If you watch the kill announcements closely, you'll see that the guy in the gunner seat got the kill.
Which means that Bungie planned for that many degrees of damage. Amazing that it didn't appear as a suicide or something. Great job, Bungie. Great job, gunner. - anewname, on 10/24/2007, -0/+1Dugg for the folk music.
