I hope his "personal reasons" settle nicely, but maybe with his departure they can rehire the, quoting Yahtzee again, "cleverness division" and we can finally get a proper 5th game in the Monkey Island series or a second Grim Fandango. A gamer can dream, can't he?

Maybe we'll get more adventure games, but I'm betting just higher quality milking of the Star Wars license. Maybe a Tie Fighter/X-Wing modernization?

This makes sense, as little to nothing has emerged from his leadership in the last few years besides the delayed new Indy game and Force Unleashed, which still remain of indeterminant quality. LucasArts used to be my favorite games company, with a level of polish and high production values rarely seen at the time. It'd be nice if they went back to those years of innovation and quality, making trends instead of trying to catch up to them.
