Loads of new leaked Halo 3 videos! (Power drainer?)

All first person shooters on consoles are frankly not that great, sure a lot of them have good stories and graphics but at the end of the day the controls are awful.
Using a (joypad) controller to aim in a fps is the worst possible thing and it shows, look at how auto aim is enabled by default and how often the weapons have large arcs of fire to take into the inaccuracy of using a joypad controller.
I own an xbox and have completed both Halo 1 & 2. I've also completed Halo 1 on a pc and the experience was significantly better than the xbox version. I can't play first person shooters on consoles using joypads for longer than an hour because I get cramp in my hands, that's how bad it is.

I've been playing FPS games for pretty much as long as they've been out. For the longest time I thought the idea of a console FPS was stupid. I couldn't stand Goldeneye for the N64. The first couple times I played Halo I absolutely hated it as well. But, then I finally picked up an Xbox and a copy of Halo and put a little more time into it. Yes, the controls aren't as sharp, but since everyone is using the exact same setup, it levels the playing field. Console FPSs aren't better or worse, they're just different. Now I play most of my FPS on consoles. I don't have to worry about hardware upgrades to the latest and greatest video card or drivers or patches or whatever. Did you even read my post? I clearly stated that I've been playing FPS since day one. Wolfenstein, Doom, Doom2, Heretic, Hexen, Duke 3D, Quake, Half Life, Unreal, Soldier of Fortune, Tribes, etc etc etc etc etc and tons of others that most people have never heard of (Quasi FPS games like Spectre VR). I own them all. I mean, the list goes on forever. I've been playing multiplayer FPS for a really long time. Since back before the DWANGO days (We paid to play BY THE MINUTE, and we LIKED IT).

I own all of those games. I've played them all to death. I understand that they're fun. I also understand why the CS fanboys wouldn't like playing on a console. The exacting controls just aren't there. What I'm trying to say is if that's all your hung up on, then you just don't get it. You make a small sacrifice for, in my opinion, a better gameplay experience. I don't think its any type of "gorilla" (I assume you mean guerrilla) marketing judging from how often the guy says certain weapons suck or are overpowered or whatever. This all started in a Gamefaqs forum where Bipchizzle said he was playing the Beta and that we could ask him questions. No one believed him of course so he invited 5 of us to a personal Yahoo chat where he uploaded some videos and pictures. Apparently this is a pretty young kid, his grammar was awful. He told us his dad had the Beta invite and he didn't sign the NDA so he didn't mind showing us. Eventually the thread got big and I guess he wanted his 15 minutes of internet celebrity because we talked him in to posting the videos on YouTube.

No way it's guerrilla, he was saying how levels were gay and weapons sucked, no way that was meant to be put out, the last video (7 mins on last resort posted a few weeks ago) maybe, but this one no.

http://bungie.net/ may be a starting point. Or google... but anyways. To get into the beta your only option right now is to pick up a marked copy of Crackdown. It'll say "Halo 3 Beta!" or something on the front. Fun game, probably worth the $60. The beta runs May 16th - June 6th.

The video quality sucked, the audio leveling inconsistent, the background music was annoying and the announcer sounds like he hardly knew English. Given those items, it just as well could be Halo 2 PC mods, for all we know. You gain nothing from these videos.

The pistol is not the Halo CE (M6D) or Halo 2 (M6B) pistol. It is the M6G pistol. It does not have a scope. It can 6 shot kill. It is dual wieldable.
The blue ball in Last Resort where the sword usually is is active camo.
SMG: Seems to have the same power and RoF as the Assault Rifle. Shorter range and larger clip than the AR. Apparently no more recoil.
The Spartan Laser has a 2x zoom. Takes about 3 seconds to charge. Roughly 2 second overheat after fires.
Minigun seems to be stationary before use. Unconfirmed if it can be fired in stationary position, or if it can go back into stationary position. Holding the minigun brings you to a third person view.
New weapon missile launcher. Third person view the same as the minigun. Seems to fire straight fast grenades.
More customization. More colors to choose from. The color blending of two colors seems to look better than it did in Halo 2.
New map: Epitaph. Seems to be an indoors map. Structure seems to be Forerunner in design.
Rocket Launcher: Still has lock-on.
Power Drainer: "Acts like a twister and drains power" More information on this later.
