- satch89digg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+32Whoa nice!! If this one is anything like the Lego Star Wars games, then let me be the first to nominate it for Game of the Year in advance!
- Philodox, on 10/12/2007, -1/+25please, please, PLEASE let Adam West do the voice for Batman.
- wild, on 10/12/2007, -1/+21Clearly you didnt play Lego Star Wars. They treated it with such great charm and the gameplay was awesome.
Truly a unqiue and favored use of a license. And its the same guys developing? Works for me. - Elranzer, on 10/12/2007, -2/+17Screw that. Adam West is funny on Family Guy but he was (is) a horrible Batman.
They need to hire Kevin Conroy (the voice of Batman on the animated series) along with the rest of the animated series voice actors. Mark Hamil as Joker and John Glover as Riddler, for example.
Though it may be a moot point. LEGO Star Wars didn't have any voice dialog... - markp93, on 10/12/2007, -0/+15LEGO Star Wars II was simply amazing.
- wild, on 10/12/2007, -0/+142008 huh? Conveniently timed with the release of The Dark Knight? Talk about heaven.
- geekzine, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12It's definitely news to me, and I can't wait to play it! I guess not everybody was lucky enough to be at the BAFTAs.
- kuj007, on 10/12/2007, -0/+12"That stuff is for kids."
ummm... yeah.... and? I guess you were hatched fully formed... but the rest of us were kids once, and... hold on to your hooves now... some of us even *have* kids... and they like games! and we like playing games with them! can't wait for this game... - wild, on 10/12/2007, -0/+10Its the sequel to Batman Begins.
- Pougan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+8A W E S O M E
I love the Lego Star Wars games and I can't wait for this.
Perhaps Lego Superman next? Will it take Legos to finally make a decent Superman game? - PdxPhoenix, on 10/12/2007, -1/+8Exactly.. no voices needed... SW doesn't have any 'cept for the droids... right before you're about to "kill" 'em.
- nowayhoseb, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Brillianty executed formula. If this continus, I can't wait for them to offer al kinds of Lego Style games - easy to play with a funny twist.
I can't wait! - Dycacian, on 10/12/2007, -0/+5Ohhh nice. I can not wait. I have spent more time than I care to admit playing Star Wars Lego II.
- Saint3k, on 10/12/2007, -0/+4Oh WOW, I didn't even think of this! Trilogies make excellent source material for LEGO branded games, IMHO.
Imagine -
LEGO Pirates of the Carribean
LEGO The Matrix (As much as the last two movies sucked, but this would make a GREAT adaptation that as a whole would be better than the movies they represent)
LEGO X-Men
LEGO Indiana Jones (I would totally play as Belloq)
And even though it might be a little adult for the younger generation...
LEGO The TERMINATOR
LEGO Mad Max
LEGO Evil Dead/Army of Darkness - greyareabeyond, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3My kids played the Lego Star Wars games to death. Great stuff.
I would rather see Lego Lord of the Rings than Lego Batman personally.
Lego Frodo, Lego Gandolf fighting a Lego Balrog, etc. - mds76, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3Probably a foregone conclusion, but I really hope that they release a GBA version too.
For the casual gamer, these games have been really fun to play. Dugg! - Elranzer, on 10/12/2007, -1/+4Random episodes from the animated series would be nice. LEGO Batman has villains that didn't make it to the movies, such as Killer Croc, so they really should base levels on the movies.
- logicalnoise, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I would think a lego xmen would be a better choice(huge amount of available chrecters to legoize). Of course Activision has the rights so I guess no good. I'll still enjoy batman lego knight.
- kaervas59, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2What about Lego Spider-man? hahahha Lego everything? A game who contain all other game in lego form!!! Nice idea! Don't blow my bubble :(
- Synchro, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2"That stuff is for kids."
This may be, but there are VERY few games that i can play with my 9 y.o. son and both of us love the heck out of it. Star Wars Lego II we played and played and played. Heck we still play it and we finished it months ago. The cooperative play that we could do was great. I hope that more and more stuff gets done by the company that put these out. - imdwalrus, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2There aren't LEGO X-Men sets out, are there?
I could be wrong, but I get the impression that they're choosing characters and franchises that already exist (at least to some degree) in LEGO form. - Elranzer, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2There's also LEGO Harry Potter kids games for the PC. Maybe they'll make a full on LEGO Harry Potter game similar to LEGO Star Wars once the seventh book is released.
- Philodox, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2What are you talking about? Lego still puts out its own stuff. You obviously don't watch enough cartoons.
- Matri, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1How did LEGO Star Wars ruin the franchise? If anything, I'd say it brought a whole new level of public awareness to both Star Wars and LEGO.
- kaervas59, on 10/12/2007, -3/+4By the way, what is Dark Knight? By simple curiosity....
- TimDigg, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1As soon as I saw the title I thought
"Well at least it's not lego Superman"
still though there hasn't been a batman game that TRULY captured Batman - inactive, on 09/29/2008, -0/+1it's as good as expected!!! I love it, and if guitar hero wasn't enough to totally hook me on xbox, the legos threw me over the edge!
- PdxPhoenix, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1But, first they'd have to have a licensing agreement to do Superman. So far, I've not been impressed with the Batman ones. Spiderman...eh. Harry Potter...whatever, 'cept for the graveyard set they did...great one that. & Star Wars...well you know.
- edmicman, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If only they'd release a software development kit where you could create interactive levels from ANY part of the Lego universe. Throw in addons for licensed material (star wars, batman, etc.) and they'd sell like hotcakes!
Imagine a game creation studio where you could create interactive levels from any part of the Lego universe - pirates, castles, space, cities, trains, anything. Ahhhhhhhh..... - troopa, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1This reminds me of the movie by DAVE School: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Batman:_New_Times
Lego Star Wars was enjoyable, so this game sounds like a good idea to me. - Ladon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1The entire community of Brickfilms.com begs to differ.
- Jon99UT, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1@MisterWhippy: Maybe you should have posted this after BAFTAs. But since you didn't, don't knock someone for finally submitting it, cause it's still news to us!
- Ladon, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1As long as they don't make this a freakin top-view game like Star Wars. Batman needs to be solo and third person.
- camulodunum, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Here's what it could look like:
http://www.daniel3d.com/pepeland/misc/isaak/Batman_Chapter_01_Help_Me.mov - JohnnyRad, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1*sigh* almost had it. :(
- aquax, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Ruin good franchises? I'm a devout Star Wars fan, but I'm not diluted enough to think that LEGO Star Wars I & II weren't the best Star Wars games in at least since KOTOR2 came out.
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -2/+2I can imagine the marketing meeting that resulted in this.
Hey Buffy, what are two things geeks enjoy we can combine to capitalize on?
Well Mick, my cousin who's at MIT loves Legos and Batman. He also likes cocaine a lot since they handed out those coke mirrors at the Grand Theft Auto game launch. - FishRHuman2, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Duuuuuuude! Awesome!
- mydave, on 08/05/2008, -0/+0I like Warner Brothers, they works are great. I will wait new product from Warner Brothers.

http://www.trgovinca.org - brokensince1982, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0oh man just right after i beat the lego star wars i said to my misses they should make a batman one.
this is going to be awesome. - fragile00, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0NIce! I grew up with Batman and I'm still a huge fan of The Dark Knight. I can't wait for the new movie as well!
- inactive, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1Crap.
- tomtux, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0the knightfall series would be fun to do in lego form. lego bane and lego jean-paul greatness!
- BriDan85, on 10/12/2007, -2/+1so what movie will the game follow?
- BooChihuahua, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2lol.
Those who say that lego star wars was a great game even though legos is geared toward kids are missing the whole point. Star Wars IS ALSO geared toward kids. That's why the lego game worked.
Batman is suppose to be dark and a lot more serious. Using legos will kill it. - kaervas59, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2Oooooh! Thanks!
- resinoth, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0Remember when LEGO put out products, specifically physical legos, with SUBSTANCE? Remember Blacktron, Space Polic, Ice Planet, etc, etc.
LEGO, you have lost your way. - MisterWhippy, on 10/12/2007, -21/+2Think the game sounds great, but is this really news? Traveller's Tales, the guys behind Lego Batman, were giving out Lego Batman keyrings at the BAFTAs last summer.
- BooChihuahua, on 10/12/2007, -25/+4They need to stop this lego crap! They are going to continue to ruin good franchises. Now Batman. Just make a good batman game. You don't have to tack on lego crap to make it good. That stuff is for kids.

What is Digg?
