- MrSidnet, on 10/12/2007, -0/+24I like that whore dressed in pink, in Pic 5, announcing she's easy.

On the other hand, user generated content is hugely popular in the RPG mod scene, yet the Sims does not have any decent tools for content creation.
To exploit a hugely popular, uncrowded market, in my opinion, can only be seen as positive for Sony. - carpespasm, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3so it's second life + ps3 game menu. will there be dancing and furries?
- baldr, on 10/12/2007, -7/+10I don't quite understand why people are excited either. I guess it could be cool, online multiplayer bowling looks fun. But nothing I have seen yet makes it look much different than Second Life, or any free MMO for that matter. All will be unveiled once more people start using the beta...
- GawtMilk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3@MrSidnet
That's exactly what I'll be using Home for. Picking up hoes. - Murdats, on 10/12/2007, -0/+3"Am I the ONLY one completely sick and tired of seeing "beta" next to every logo lately? Even Sony.. come on.. show some originality for once."
yeah sony, be original, put a gamma tag or something next to your near final product but as of yet officially unrealeased software!
how lame, using a word that describes the state the product is in, JUST LIKE EVERYONE ELSE! - abcdefghij, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2I like the name of the site's owner: "Sony Protection Group"
From the About Us:
"Welcome to Sony Protection Group! The Sony Protection Group is a group built up of fans of Sony and the Playstation 3 unit. Our main goal and objective is to portray them in a positive light and help out Playstation 3 fans.
Our main site consists of a blog, which is used for spreading factual information, not lies, fud, or rumors spread by other various websites such as kotaku and wii60.com. We also give the users here the ability to share their content, by allowing them to upload videos and pictures that they've made. The forum is the next piece of the website and probably the best part, because it allows all members to come together, share thoughts, and communicate."
it's about time some people step up and defend this console. No, this is not fanboism, all I'm saying some 360 fanbois and the haters need to chill out and just accept the fact that this is a new next-gen console capable of playing blue-laser DVDs for games and movies and many other interesting entertainment features, at a price that the market is willing to trade. - SpoBo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2Digital hoes!! w00t. And especially with the PS3 Eye huh .. mwuhahaha lol :')
- GawtMilk, on 10/12/2007, -0/+2It's good because its a casual game in and of itself, yet you can matchmake and talk. It's like a chatroom, only you can join free arcade games like bowling. It's a chatroom and arcade with a 3D enviroment. What's not to like? You're essentially getting a number of simple titles akin to Wii Sports for free.
- MDrake, on 10/12/2007, -1/+3'A very nice, how much?'
- WoollyMittens, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Second Life without building anything. Next you'll say they'll take out the sex... what?
- dvsbastard, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1It looks a lot like second life... except with a high likelihood of being populated by foul mouthed 13 year olds!
It also looks like it has a lot of potential though. Potential for greatness... and / or potential for disaster. I guess we will have to wait and see what kind of crowd it attracts. - JamesKeenan, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1"I'm easy!" - I just can't wait for this...
- olddirtycr, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Look you fanboy *****, over 15,000 people are currently using this in the Beta stage. Unless Sony hired people to stream videos that change upon a users action so it may appear that the user is really playing home, when in fact it's a cinematic, you are a retard.
- SpoBo, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1Beta has a meaning ... it's there for a reason. I like the fact that you can have a gender change while not having to pay for it :')
- YourTechSupport, on 10/12/2007, -0/+1If by furries, you mean zombies and katamaris, then yes!
- c64memories, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Genre:- "A category of artistic composition, as in music or literature, marked by a distinctive style, form, or content"
Saying Home is like Second Life and deserves to be discarded for that reason is like saying every first person shooter after Wolfenstein 3D deserves the same fate... - Ngai, on 10/12/2007, -1/+1be cooler if HOME was actually our entire planet and like you live in a house in a neighborhood close to a PS3 :)...
Then I can fly over to my friends house and play his games... :) - phrstbrn, on 10/12/2007, -0/+0Yeah, I can't wait. I can just see some immature 8th grader running around being a dick to everybody. "omg stfu n00b ur ghy i cuold pwn u ne time. dun let me ..." and you can just imagine where it goes from there.
It sounds like it "could" have potential if they allow for LOTS of user generated content. Oh, and a good banning/ignore feature is a must. - inactive, on 10/12/2007, -3/+2That site is SOOOOO made by Sony.
- shadowcode, on 10/12/2007, -1/+0Nifty!
Although, lets stay realistic. This is not the killer app for which I'm going to shell out $815 (EUR 599) for. - NGliam, on 10/12/2007, -5/+3This shots have been dugg before, so no digg.
I am interested in Home though, I like the idea of being able to jump online and go talk to your friends in a non-formal way through the PS3. Like MSN/AIM/YM except you can move around :P Not an original idea, but the graphics look hot and its on PS3 so its ok to be lame. - MouseCircus, on 10/12/2007, -8/+6Were you expecting a serious response? If so, then no, you're not the only one.
At first, I found it annoying because I had wrongly assumed that people would be required to use it to get anything done online. Sony claims it won't be necessary, though, and that a menu-based online system will also be implemented. Or at least that's what I think. After hearing that, I don't really care about Home in the least. I'm not big on online socializing, especially not through MMOs.
Oh, and congratulations; everyone probably thinks you're a troll now. It's wrong to disagree with popular opinion, you know! - doobatron, on 10/12/2007, -4/+1why would you want a dolls house on your GAMES console?
- qazyhoods, on 10/12/2007, -7/+4As soon as this comes out I'm going to buy a PS3
- fLUx1337, on 10/12/2007, -6/+3Does it run on 360....?
No?! ***** that then.... - friday04, on 10/12/2007, -3/+0I have a friend who's in the know with Sony and all of these screen shots and even the demo that they showed earlier this year were all complete and total fakes. They currently have no idea how they are actually going to build this environment nor do they even know if it's possible.
They are pulling a Microsoft on this one. Telling IBM they have an OS that doesn't actually exist so they can get backers for their project. - arcooke, on 10/12/2007, -6/+3Am I the ONLY one completely sick and tired of seeing "beta" next to every logo lately? Even Sony.. come on.. show some originality for once.
- kevrose, on 10/12/2007, -8/+4buried as inaccurate as their cant be enough ps3 owners to display all those avatars on the screen
- luminouscow, on 10/12/2007, -7/+1Maybe if they would ever drop the price on PS3 I would consider buying.
- bdub92, on 10/12/2007, -31/+12Am I the only one who is completely NOT enthusiastic about this?
