- Shawniferous, on 10/10/2007, -52/+145Take that sony fanboys!
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -14/+105Yes, lets stop these Bioshock PS3 storys and start posting the MGS4 360 ones again.
- Intrepion, on 10/10/2007, -7/+54it's cause PS3s don't support VERT+ tallscreen
- Snarfy, on 10/10/2007, -10/+51I wanted bioshock for PC... until i heard about SecureROM issues. I like my PC without the rootkits, thanks.
- MaynardJK, on 10/10/2007, -2/+43and you still get GTA4
- Bfettmaul, on 10/10/2007, -2/+37Dont forget Mass Effect
- CornStarch, on 10/10/2007, -6/+32SCENARIO #2: Those who were so close to having a tricked out PC caved in and spent their money on a PS3.
- coheedcollapse, on 10/10/2007, -3/+29Yup. Even if the game did come out on PS3 I was just gonna buy the PC version. Although consoles are catching up like crazy to PC's in gaming quality, I still love being able to sit at my desk with my keyboard and mouse when it comes to FPS games.
- SlamShut, on 10/10/2007, -18/+43Last generation, I was an Xbox gamer. For the last several years before the 360 came out, I and many other Xbox owners endured all manner of preening, self-congratulatory ***** from the Sony fanboy crowd... endless proclamations of the PS2's superiority, despite its technical shortcomings, and endless proclamations of its popularity. Now the worm has turned. Sony showed up late to the game, with an overpriced, unwieldy monster of a console that's really just a scarcely-disguised attempt to shove a new disc format down your throat. Meanwhile, the Playstation brand has lost exclusive after exclusive after exclusive... the once-touted "Playstation only" names like GTA, Devil May Cry, and many others have all migrated to the 360, and made the 360 versions their focus. And all the Sony fanboys can do now is bitch, whine, and make ***** excuses. Well, guess what, *****? You earned this. Go play your library of subpar C-grade titles. You shrieked on and on about how the Xbox was "only shooters," and that the PS2 had "way more games." Now your $600 console features a single game ranked over 90% on metacritic, and the only game anyone ever talks about is a lukewarm FPS.
Those of us who didn't spend the last several years sucking Sony's ***** and excusing every one of their colossal ***** and horrid business decisions (rootkits, Lik Sang, exploding batteries, and lies, lies, lies) are happily enjoying the consoles that are ***** burying the Playstation. And there's nothing sweeter to my ears than the bleating complaints and desperate excuses of a Sony fanboy trying to excuse the mighty Playstation for falling into third place. - kindassassin96, on 10/10/2007, -1/+20and you still get assassin's creed!
- FireAtWill, on 10/10/2007, -13/+32This is the game that actually made the decision for me between the two consoles. Throw in a Wii, and I'm a happy nerdling.
- SeBBBe, on 10/10/2007, -5/+23It's a very good reason to get a 360, on the other hand...
- bilbravo, on 10/10/2007, -2/+19Anyone who has enough money for a PS3? If someone already had an Xbox360 they probably are in the same financial situation. If a gamer wants either system, I don't think $100 (the difference until a week or so ago) would make the difference. Maybe for a casual person getting in to gaming, but someone who knows what they want is not going to be deterred by $100.
The diggers make it seem like the PS3 is on par with buying a Ferrari instead of a Chevrolet. - stigma15, on 10/10/2007, -2/+18 Im a 360 owner (w/ o a PS3) but why do people care if a game is exclusive or not (as long as they can play it)? The closer the competition is between MS & Sony, the better it is for all gamers. These 5th-grade-schoolyard taunts are pathetic.
- YSSMAN, on 10/10/2007, -6/+22Not a surprise. Given the quality of X360 and PC ports to the PS3, the condition of BioShock may have been as unbearable as F.E.A.R
- scabbers, on 10/10/2007, -2/+16Guess Sony didn't cut them a good deal for SecuROM.
- SlamShut, on 10/10/2007, -5/+19See what I mean? All the Sony cheerleaders have left are lies and already-rumors for excuses. Cry more, retard.
- Syraxis, on 10/10/2007, -2/+16That kind of maturity is no better than the Sony Defense Force.
- iharbinger, on 10/10/2007, -3/+16don't forget viva pinata: party animals!
- candafilm, on 10/10/2007, -2/+14@Maverick
Just to clear that up, Rockstar only signed timed exclusives for their next two games. Which means the PS3 will get their next two games for a period of time (such as GTA 3 and Vice City for the PS2/Xbox). Their next two games are secret and I know 100% that either of them won't be a GTA game, because that would break the agreements they have with Microsoft. My guess is they have an original game in the works and Bully 2.
And free Blu-Ray drive? Come on man you paid $200-$300 more for your console than the 360 guys did. If the PS3 was the same price as the 360, then I would say you got a free Blu-Ray drive. - zwilliams, on 10/10/2007, -2/+13And Kojima doesn't have the final say. His bosses do. And right now Konami President Fumiaki Tanaka said that going multiplatform is not out of the question. If you run a business, and you have just spent an ass load of cash to produce a game, are you going to aim for the smallest target audience (PS3 is dead last in marketshare) or are you going to be smart and make some returns on such an investment?

/ Now PS3/MSG4 fanboys proceed to digg me down for speaking ill.
// I have a PS3.
/// And a 360.
//// And still can't wait to get my hands on a Wii. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -30/+40Oh noes! Whatever will we do?!
Here's my logic. Someone that has enough money for a PS3 probably already has a tricked out gaming comp. They can play it on their comps. - fani, on 10/10/2007, -1/+11What a turnaround. 2001 - 2005 -> I was a die hard PS2 gamer. Bought tons of PS2 games and when a game came out on both xbox and ps2, bought the ps2 version and put down xbox.
Fast forward to 2007 and now I'm a die hard Xbox360 gamer. I don't really put down the PS3, but I've got no real reason to even buy it. Not a single game exclusive or otherwise attracts me.
Games I love are on Xbox360. More features on Xbox360 ( VT3 has online only on Xbox360, GTA:IV has rumored more content on Xbox360 etc. )
Also, I love BOTH my Xbox ( thanks to XBMC - what a program ) and PS2 ( games on your HD via HDLoader !! ) - JettaMan, on 10/10/2007, -5/+15Scenario #3: Instead of spending thousands of dollars on a tricked out PC, then just spend a few hundred on an XBox 360.
- bilbravo, on 10/10/2007, -4/+13And witty.
- zweben, on 10/10/2007, -5/+14Yeah, except for the little fact that you don't need the wireless adapter and you don't need the HD DVD drive. I doubt your PC cost $400, and if it did, it couldn't even launch Bioshock.
- Rodman930, on 10/10/2007, -0/+8you've been calling it Stream this whole time? You must feel like an idiot.
- gwolf, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9Trouble is you have to do that every couple of years to keep up. It's fine if you can afford it, but consoles are what brings gaming out of the niche market and into the mainstream. Pc gamers should be grateful for the console, I don't thing the money would be there to develop some of these projects with them.
- Dabisu, on 10/10/2007, -2/+10I wish people would accept the same thing about MGS4.
- dysonlu, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9Microsoft paid for the exclusivity. It's not like they themselves decided to ignore the PS3 market. From TFA: "We got an exclusive deal with Microsoft".
- mtrip, on 10/10/2007, -1/+9COD 4
- Pardis, on 10/10/2007, -0/+7Assassin's Creed is xbox360 also
- GliTCH82, on 10/10/2007, -2/+9..BLASPHEMY! BURN HIM AT THE STAKE!
- Coopdoggie, on 10/10/2007, -3/+10I would rather play on a system with good games and have it crap out on me then buy a more expensive system and have it collect dust because everything sucks on it.
And that's why I have a 360 and a Wii, and I love them both. - SlamShut, on 10/10/2007, -4/+11"GTA:IV has rumored more content on Xbox360 etc." That's not just a rumor, buddy. That's a cold hard fact.
- goffy59, on 10/10/2007, -3/+9The pirate bay edition is your savior!
- sakuraz, on 10/10/2007, -1/+7......Except all those people who drove you mad is with Xbox 360 now.
Fanboys will always stay fanboys.
They just became a MS fanboy from Sony fanboy. - KyleMistry, on 10/10/2007, -4/+10Yeah. Those Square Enix twits'll never make it in the indy gaming scene. They've got too much competition against Ubisoft and Konami. I hear those two may break into the mainstream soon.
- battletrax, on 10/10/2007, -0/+6thanks
- Guspaz, on 10/10/2007, -1/+6Because it's a lot easier to support one single platform (360) than millions of different possible hardware combinations.
That and when developing for the 360, you're guaranteed that it will run EXACTLY the same for EVERYBODY. If a developer is testing a game and a certain scene gets 35FPS while testing, he's assured that everybody else will get 35GPS there too.
On the PC, on the other hand, there are incredible variations in performance. And the 360's hardware is still on the same level as a high end PC.
John Carmack said it best when he said that when developing for a console, you can get roughly double the performance that you would out of a similarly configured PC. This is due to the insane amount of tweaking and hacks you can do when you have ONE specific hardware target. I think Carmack proved that with DooM 3 for the original Xbox. The fact that the game looks so good on such slow hardware (not to mention only 64MB of RAM shared between CPU and GPU) is incredible. - inactive, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5That's why you play it on the PC.
I have 60" plasma running right now with 1280X1024 @ 60HZ over DVI.
Looks fantastic. - geartype2, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5no, I heard there was another.
- SniperGX1, on 10/10/2007, -4/+9English not your first language?
- inactive, on 10/10/2007, -3/+8Stop deluding yourself stupid sony boi. Sony execs are begging to have such a magnificent game like this on their system...but they can't HAHAHA.
- kpxxbladexx415, on 10/10/2007, -5/+10what sony did to Lik Sang made me hate them for eternity.
- mufasa, on 10/10/2007, -2/+7And let's not forget PGR4 or Mass Effect while were at it. =D
- Rodman930, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5Ninja Gaiden 2
- Dustmuffins, on 10/10/2007, -0/+5The folks at 2k must read digg, because they seem to respond to a lot of the stories here soon after they become popular.
- kuronai, on 10/21/2007, -1/+6Am I the only one who is sick to death of the whole 360 vs PS3 bitchfight? For f***'s sake, get over it, its a console.
